  • Halo 4 will boast Microsoft Surface functionality

    Halo 4 Surface Info

If you guys remember, Microsoft introduced their all new SmartGlass technology at E3 a while back. This technology basically allows you to use any portable device (smartphones or tablets) to get an additional screen, much like the new Wii U gamepad. Just like the Wii U, this added screen is essentially going to provide you with other additional gameplay options.

Well soon after E3 Microsoft announced their new line of Windows 8 tablets, Surface. The tablets themselves are impressive and keeping SmartGlass in the frame it didn't take long for people to start wondering how exactly was Microsoft going to implement this tech for both current and future console games.

Although Microsoft has kept pretty much every detail about this locked up, there was still some good news to be heard. At the VentureBeat Gamebeat 2012 conference in San Francisco, Microsoft Executive Don Mattrick confirmed that the highly anticipated Halo 4 will work with Surface tablet computers.

Although details of how Halo would work with surface was not revealed, everyone's guess was that Xbox SmartGlass would transform it into a new screen where we would be able to use it as a map, for communications, equipment screens, stats etc. Although considering the fact that Halo is their flagship series, it is possible that Surface might add a "touch-screen controller" option.

With Halo 4 set to be launched in November and Surface to be released in October, we are certain that more news will arrive as we get closer to the launch dates. There is a lot of potential in this particular combination and I hope the developers do something creative with it instead of just using this feature as a gimmick. Only time will tell.

  • Halo 4: New UNSC controller + Video of Halo's Menu

    Halo 4 Controller

Hey there guys. I guess you guys already read the previous article about the Halo 4 Limited Edition Console Bundle. Since then it has been pulled down from the Microsoft Store so we haven't been able to get a better look at it. But, today I bring to you the close up image of the new Halo 4 UNSC Controller:

    http://halocouncil.com/content.php?r=600-New-Halo-4-USNC-Controller

Looks cool right? As you can see, the blue led that is supposed to be integrated instead of the green can be seen from this picture. The d-pad is also supposed to be the twist d-pad. Also notice how the controller is translucent. Both the controller and the console are supposed to be translucent.

When I first heard it was going to be see through I was worried whether it would actually look good with all the internal parts visible but I guess I was wrong. 343 Industries and Microsoft really knew what they were doing.

In other news, new video has surfaced that shows the menu in Halo. The video also shows off a lot of the customization abilities and loadout options. Check out the video below and pause at points to really soak in all the details!

  • Battlefield 4 Confirmed

    Battlefield 4 News!

Hey there gamers! Last week the whole gaming community was taken by complete surprise by the news that Battlefield 4 might be in development. This news was leaked from a promotional banner for Medal of Honor Warfighter which listed that as a bonus BF4 Beta would be accessible to those who pre-order MoH Warfighter.

Even though the news must have been exciting to fans there was no telling whether it was real or not. Fortunately for us, EA has confirmed with Gamespot that the BF4 is very much in the works and the Beta version would be available sometime in the Fall of 2013. I wonder if it means the game will be available by holiday season of 2013.

Also the rumored pre-order special is also true; anyone who pre-orders MoH: Warfighter will be getting access to BF4 Beta trials. Now that definitely makes this year's MoH that much more desirable!

EA community manager Ian Tornay had something to say about this whole situation and I quote:

"There are several teams at DICE. Starting work on Battlefield 4 does not mean that we will be abandoning Battlefield 3 or working any less hard to bring you the best expansions we can. Dice and EA are dedicated to continuing our support for Battlefield 3. Just as we've continued to support and maintain Bad Company 2, weintend to continue providing the best Battlefield 3 experience we can well into the future and past the release of End Game and Battlefield 4."

Tornay also mentioned that pre-ordering MoH Warfighter is not the only way to get access to BF4 Beta and that there will be other ways to do so. Unfortunately none of those other methods have been named yet. For now Medal of Honor: Warfighter seems to be our only ticket to the Battlefield 4 Beta.

Be extra prepared for Warfighter and the Battlefield 4 Beta by purchasing our modded controller the Stealth Adjustable with Modern Warfare 3/Battlefield 3 functions.

  • Battlefield 4 Leaked?

    Battlefield 4 Leak?

No one knows whether it was actually a mistake or whether it was planned but a pre-order bonus has revealed that Battlefield 4 might be in the works, more like it is definitely in the works.

A special promotional banner for pre-ordering Medal of Honor: Warfighter displayed on EA's Origin digital distribution service. The banner stated that is you ordered the game for a price of $69.99 you would get exclusive access to Battlefield 4 Beta.

Till now neither EA nor DICE have mentioned anything about a sequel to Battlefield 3 released just a year back. For now DICE has been confirmed to make new DLC for Battlefield 3 till March 2013. Considering how successful Battlefield 3 was, it is not that surprising to considering a follow up.

It was just weird how the news was actually brought to our attention. Either case considering DICE's commitment to future BF3 DLC, we won't be seeing BF4 no sooner than March 2013. We can however hope to hear some concrete details soon and if we do, we will definitely keep you posted!

If a new Battlefield is on the way, use our modded controller - the Stealth Adjustable to get the edge over your opponents! Includes over 15,000 Adjustable rates of rapid fire!

  • Sleeping Dogs the New GTA?

    Sleeping Dogs Info

When it started out this game was called True Crime: Hong Kong and was being published by Activision. However after a certain point in development Activision decided to scrap the whole project based on the fact that the game would not be as profitable in comparison to the amount of cash required for its production.

Luckily Square Enix came to the rescue and bought off the rights to the game. Although they did not get the rights to the name and hence Sleeping Dogs was born. I would say it was a smart choice from Square Enix as the game has turned out to be one of the highly anticipated games of this year. The game is being developed by United Front Games and is expected to launch August 14th 2012.

The game in general is an open world sandbox much like GTA or Mafia. Well it differs from Mafia in possessing a wealth of side quests other than just the main story. We play the role of an undercover detective of the Honk Kong Police Department, Mr. Wei Shen, whose main objective is to take down the Triads.

    Check out the gameplay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpuf2jkznN8

As you can see, the game does not really innovate on itself. It takes a lot of successful ideas from other games and blended them together in a neat package. The combat system is very satisfying and very much like Batman Arkham Asylum/City. You can string together heavy and light attacks to perform combos, you can counter enemies and even utilize your environment.

The gun combat is also pretty solid and the slow motion effect really in essence is Bullet Time from the Max Payne series. There is also a free run element within the game where you have to chase your opponent which really resembles chase scenes from the Assassin's Creed series.

But all this familiarity is not a bad thing. Just because you have similar elements does not mean the game is the same. The game looks great and a lucky few people who have tried termed it very entertaining and addictive.

There is also RPG like element to this game which sets it apart from the crowd. As you complete missions your main character gain experience which can be used to access new upgrades, skills, etc. Also due the fact that members of United Front Games have worked on the Need For Speed Series and the ModNation Racers the vehicle in this game handle really well.

As I said, even if this game is nothing revolutionizing the developers seem to be doing a really solid job with it and fans of this genre should really consider getting this.

While Sleeping Dogs may not be a traditional First or Third Person shooter don't count our modded controllers out for this title. Our Modded controllers work on GTA games, Gears of War games and a vareity of games. When creating your own controller be sure to choose the mod that's right for you!

  • Medal of Honor: Warfighter - Multiplayer Details

    Medal of Honor: Warfighter Multiplayer

There isn't a TON of info available regarding the multiplayer but, there has been some nifty details discovered over the last few days and I thought I might sum it up.

First of all, the 12 Tier 1 operators from a total of 10 countries that we will be able to get our hands on in the multiplayer have been confirmed:

SAS - British Special Air Service Regiment
SEAL - US Navy's primary Special Operation Force
SFOD-D - US Army's primary Counter Terrorist Force
OGA - US' Other Government Agencies is a mix elites from different backgrounds
    JTF2 - Canada's elite CT force - Joint Task Force 2
GROM - Poland's elite CT Force
    KSK - Germany's CT Force
SASR - Australian Army's premier SOF
UDT - South Korea's UDT/Seals an elite SOF
    FSK - Norway's primary SOF
    SOG - Sweden's elite SOF
Spetsnaz - Russia's special purpose CT force

The option of being able to represent you own country is definitely going to bring about some patriotism and with that some added intensity. What I am waiting for is to see how these teams are different teams and which one is the right one for me!

MoH: Warfighter is also going to incorporate something called Fire Teams which would pair you up with another player. This would not only help you survive but also add a layer of strategy, team play and tactics. It is essentially a sleeker version of BF's Squad mechanic. If you die, you will spawn right next to your partner. Taking it a step further, team members will be able to spot each other's outline through buildings etc. That way even if you two split up, you will always know where your partner is.

Final thing I want to mention is the multiplayer trailer that was released. I don't know about you guys, but to me it looked amazing. Thanks to the Frostbite 2 engine the graphics look superb. EA is claiming that MoH: Warfighter is actually going to look better than BF3!

The action also looks fast paced but that of course is thanks to the editing. What really got me going are the sounds, it really gets you pumped! I especially love the way the whole camera shakes because of nearby explosions, fantastic. Really get the impact across.

Well the MoH: Warfighter is set to release on the 23rd of October this year and I can't wait to find out more. I really hope this iteration will make me happier than Medal of Honor 2010.  Check out the multiplayer trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xG9T6h4foA

Have you pre-ordered Medal of Honer: Warfighter or Black Ops 2? If you have, you will definitely need a modded controller. Choose our Stealth Adjustable Rapid Fire Controller with MW3/BF3 functions and you will get 10 rapid fire pre-sets and our adjustable rapid fire mod compatible with all major shooters in addition to exclusive mods compatible with Black Ops. • Medal of Honor: Warfighter Shows Off the Frostbite 2 Engine

    Medal of Honor: Warfighter

Medal of Honor is posing some serious competition against Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 this year. The Frostbite 2 engine makes that game stand out from previous shooters. It looks absolutely gorgeous and seems Danger Close are really trying to achieve new heights with this game.

Check out the campaign gameplay demo:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baS1CiL_rjU

Everything is destroyable and shatters into tiny bits on repeated fire. Even the chandeliers swing in reaction to the shots being fired! CoD's old engine might just cost them this time around (probably not).

Warfighter is also set to bring an international experience to both online and offline gameplay as the developers Danger Close are incorporating 12 different Tier 1 military teams from 10 different countries in the game. It’s a cool concept, giving everyone a chance to represent their country.

Also I like the little bits of detail they have added, like the different choices when breaching a door. You have choices from kicking the door down to throwing a frag grenade or flashbang. Depending on what method you choose the following gameplay will be different.

The game is set to be released on the 23rd of October 2012, almost 2 weeks before Black Ops 2 comes out. A smart move I might add since it is nearly impossible to directly compete with Call of Duty, especially this time when Treyarch is adamantly claiming that Black Ops 2 would be the biggest game of the franchise.

If you are excited for both Medal of Honer: Warfighter and Black Ops 2 you will need a modded controller. Choose our Stealth Adjustable Rapid Fire Controller with MW3/BF3 functions and you will get 10 rapid fire pre-sets compatible with all major shooters in addition to exclusive mods compatible with Black Ops. These mods are likely to be fully functioning in Black Ops 2, so be prepared for the release by ordering one these controllers today.

  • Final Fantasy XIII-3 to be released soon?

In an interview with Famitsu Mr. Motomu Toriyama, the director of Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2, commented - "The Final Fantasy XIII-2 Lightning download content had an ending that left a feeling - mystery and hope. The day when the meaning of this will come to light is not too far."

As some of you might already know, at the end of FF XIII-2 players were greeted with a "to be continued" screen. Pretty much everyone guessed that this referred to FFXIII-3 but in actuality it was a DLC. However, the afore mentioned Lightning DLC (which was also the last piece of DLC) actually left players with a lot more questions than answers.

So this comment from Mr. Toriyama is most likely hinting towards FF-XIII-3. But no one is certain still; is it another installment, another DLC or is it Versus XIII that is finally going to get revealed? I really hope it is the latter!

Maybe we will get to hear more about this on the upcoming 25th Anniversary of Final Fantasy. The celebration is set to take place at the Shibuya Art Gallery in Tokyo, on the 31st of August. Since Final Fantasy VII re-release will also take place on this day, we can be at least hope for some good news.

  • Rumored Playstation 4 Specs Roundup

    PlayStation 4 Specs

With high hopes of Playstation 4 coming out within the next year (best case scenario), we decide to take a look at all info about PS4 made available since April of this year. We shall try our best to summarize all info available on the rumored PS4, codenamed Orbis.

Well first off the bat is the fact that this time around there would be an advanced piracy blocking system. We all knew they were really going to increase the security of next gen systems. Additionally the reuse of games will also be blocked. This would supposedly be achieved via a download from the Playstaion Network that would lock the Blu-Ray to a specific system thus, rendering reuse of Blu-Ray discs impossible.

Okay now let's look at something a bit more cheerful, the specs of this upcoming bad boy. Rumors suggest that the chips in the PS4 would be based on AMD's A8-3850 APU and Radeon HD 7670 GPU. The A8-3850 is a quad-core 2.9 GHz processor which also has an integrated graphics chip. The Radeon HD 7670 GPU is a DirectX 11 enabled card clocked at 1 GHz and has 1 GB of VRAM.

Based on the fact the HD 7670 is identical to last year's HD 6670, some basic assumptions could be made. The HD 6670 has the capability to render Crysis 2 in high settings at a resolution of 1920 X 1080 (full HD) with frame rates slightly above 30 fps. This chip can also support the HDMI 1.4a output which is required for the rumored 4K resolution output of the PS4.

It is expected that with the use of a lightweight OS and optimized games, the overall performance of the system is going to be much better. The main advantage of Sony is the fact that the A8-3850 has the integrated HD 6550D which would allow them to utilize asymmetrical CrossFire configuration to share the load of graphics processing.

As you can see guys, the rumored PS4 is a verifiable gaming monster. But keep in mind that the exact chipsets might change in the final product. Also even if they use the exact chips mentioned above, considering that they will be custom made for the console we can pretty much be certain that the final specs will vary. Of course any change made will only make the system better.

If you're a huge PlayStation fan, remember that Evil Controllers offers gamers a PS3 modded controller with cool shell options and the ability to add bullet buttons. Stay tuned as new options become available!

  • Halo 4 - Limited Edition Console Bundle

    Halo 4 Controller and Console

Last week it was revealed from Microsoft's site that Microsoft will be releasing a Limited Edition Halo 4 Xbox 360 Console Bundle that comes with a Halo 4 controller. Although the pre-order page has been removed, the cat's already out of the bag. Although everyone is expecting that was part of Microsoft's plan.

Either way I guess more people were actually expecting a console bundle. I mean it's HALO, Microsoft HAD to do it. Here is what you get with this bundle

    - Standard retail copy of Halo 4
    - One-of-a-kind custom skinned Xbox 360 (320 GB) console designed by Microsoft and 343 Industries.
    - Two custom skinned wireless controllers with "blue" led lights and "rotating" d-pads
    - Black Xbox 360 wired headset
    - The console will make Halo 4 in-game sound effects when turned on and also when eject button is pressed
    - A nifty package of downloadable in-game content including: unique weapon and armor skins, unique emblems and also Xbox LIVE avatar props and armor sets.

Also, both the console and controllers were see-through. Although Microsoft is hiding this bundle, it will definitely re-surface before Halo 4's launch date, 6th of November. It would be interesting to see if any changes are made. This bundle was priced at $399.99, similar to other Limited Edition console bundles.
