  • Rockstar Energy Teamed Up With Bungie To Offer Destiny 2 Loot

rockstar energy destiny 2Rockstar Energy Drink and Bungie have teamed up together to offer Destiny 2 players exclusive loot for purchasing and drinking Rockstar Energy drinks.

The limited edition run of Rockstar Energy Drink cans will offer unique Destiny 2 themed designs across a total of three different flavors. Each can will have a unique code printed on it that can be used to access special loot in Destiny 2.

Currently, the three flavors that feature the Destiny 2 branding are the original flavor, Blueberry Pomegranate Acai, and Tropical Guava. Each of the three flavors represents three Destiny 2 characters from the game's story.

Unique items are available for all three classes; Titan, Warlock or Hunter. In total, there are 24 unique rewards for players to unlock via the Rockstar Energy drink campaign, and a total of three can be unlocked per week, per account.

Players that enter a code will also be given an entry into various competitions hosted by Rockstar Energy. The grand prize is a Destiny 2 themed Husqvarna 701 Enduro motorcycle.

  • First Destiny 2 Raid Goes Live

destiny 2 raid leviathanThe first raid for Destiny 2 has finally gone live and we've got some unique details to share about it.

Bungie's game director, Luke Smith, has revealed that the first raid will require a power level between 260 and 280. For those that haven't had a chance to play much Destiny 2 yet, you've got some catching up to do before the raid will be accessible to you.

Raids have always been the most challenging aspect of the Destiny game world, so it makes sense that a minimum power level cap has been set to make sure inexperienced players don't accidentally walk into a world filled with pain.

The first raid for Destiny 2 is called Leviathan. So far, we're not sure how the raid will work, or what enemies it will consist of. We do know, however, that players that do not yet have a team of friends to join them can now use matchmaking to find existing teams to play alongside.

Leviathan originally launched on September 13 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. We're expecting to see more raids released over the next couple of years, but for now, this first Leviathan raid will certainly keep players busy for the next few weeks.

Destiny 2 originally launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 6, 2017. The game has already broken some massive records, including a 1.2 million concurrent player count. These numbers are only expected to increase when Destiny 2 gets a launch on PC on October 24.

  • NBA 2K18 Prelude Demo Available for Free

nba 2k18 prelude demoIf you're not getting excited for NBA 2K18 yet, the new Prelude demo might get you interested.

The Prelude demo is available for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners and will give players a chance to try out NBA 2K18 for free in anticipation of the game's impending release.

With Prelude, players get to dip their feet in the new MyCareer mode. Players will also be given the opportunity to test out the Neighborhoods mode.

In Neighborhoods, players are given access to an online social space where they can interact with other players, challenge others to games, and play various activities, some of which can improve their player's stats.

Interestingly, the developers are letting players keep hold of the progress they make during the Prelude demo. If you improve your character's stats, change your character's appearance, or make any other progress, it'll stay with your account when you purchase and play the full game.

NBA 2K18 is set to launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on September 19. However, those who have preordered the game are given the opportunity to play the game four days earlier on September 15.

Are you interested in NBA 2K18 and the new MyCareer and MyPark changes? If you're on the fence, we'd suggest giving the Prelude demo a download. It's free to download and play and will be available up until NBA 2K18 launches later this month.

  • New LawBreakers 1.3 Patch Released

lawbreakers patch 1.3A brand new patch for LawBreakers has recently gone live on both the PS4 and the PC version of the game. For the most part, the patch has gone ahead smoothly, although there has been a temporary issue with weapon stickers that the developers are currently working to get solved.

In the new patch, a nighttime version of the Promenade map has been added. Role limits have now been set to 2, and Kick decals can now be sprayed by players across the game environment.

A number of balancing changes have been made to different game modes, too. For example, the Blitzball mode has been made more challenging. The Blitzball shield radius has been increased from 850 to 1000.

The Overcharge mode has had similar changes - the radius for reducing the Battery's shield has increased from 750 to 850, and the contest radius for the Battery has increased to 1000. The contest area has also changed to a sphere as opposed to a cylinder, which should make it easier for players to hold the spot while moving.

Uplink has had the same changes as Overcharge. Finally, the Trench map has had some adjustments. A collision area has been added to the top of the central zone above capture point B. This allows Harrier players to throw Supercharger Stations at that area.

A large number of bug fixes have also been applied to this latest patch, as well as some overall UI fixes and small tweaks.

  • New NBA 2K18 Social Space To Change Up Multiplayer

NBA 2K18 neighborhoodsThis year, the NBA 2K18 multiplayer mode is getting a huge overhaul. In NBA 2K18, a new social space called Neighborhoods is being added.

In the new Neighborhoods mode, players will be able to customize their own player, interact with others, and take part in a variety of different activities, some of which are related to basketball, while some aren't.

The Neighborhood mode will take place in a separate map that'll feature a set of American city blocks. Basketball courts, shops for customizing your character, and other recreational areas will be included.

The new Neighborhood mode will essentially work as a lobby for players to hang out in while waiting for games in either of the MyPark, Pro-Am, and MyCareer modes.

Players will also be able to take part in different activities to improve their player's skills to help them be better players on the basketball court. Players will share the Neighborhood with other players that are online.

At any time, a player can interact with another player and invite them to a MyPark game. Alternatively, they can drop out and progress through the MyCareer or Pro-Am modes.

NBA 2K18 is set to launch for the majority of platforms on September 19. The consoles that will support NBA 2K18 includes PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

The new MyCareer mode will have more of a focus on developing your own personal storyline, as opposed to progressing through a season as an existing basketball team.

  • Halo 5 To Get a Weapon Balancing Overhaul

halo 5 weapon overhaulWhile content updates for Halo 5 stopped some time ago, new balancing changes will be making their way to Halo 5 soon.

The new balancing changes will bring a huge overhaul to the different weapons players can use in Halo 5. Many players are speculating that the balance changes are a method for 343 Industries to test the waters with changes that they may bring to Halo 6 when it finally launches.

After 2 years of data to go through, those at 343 Industries that are still working on Halo 5 have decided on a new plan of action for the weapon mechanics in Halo 5: Guardians.

The 343 team warned that not everybody will like the changes, but they think the balancing is for the best.

"With a game and community as varied and nuanced as Halo 5, it's just not going to be possible to make everyone totally happy all of the time. Some folks may not like certain changes, while others may think some of these changes are great."

A total of twelve weapons will be getting balancing changes, including the Assault Rifle and Battle Rifle.

The Assault Rifle, for example, will be changed to make it more rewarding for skilled players.

The Battle Rifle will also be toned down at close ranges to make it more effective at midranges and easier to counter in close quarters.

To begin with, the changes will only be applied to a separate arena playlist called Weapon Tuning Playlist. If the changes work well, they'll be applied to all arena modes, all Warzone modes, and campaign.

  • Keyboard/Mouse Is Coming to Xbox One

keyboard mouse xbox oneFor those that forget or were unaware, Microsoft is still working on bringing mouse and keyboard support to the Xbox One. In fact, they're so close that they're almost ready to announce the first title to support mouse and keyboard support.

Director for Xbox, Mike Ybarra, recently spoke at a PAX West panel and answered some questions about the progress of keyboard and mouse support for the Xbox One.

They mentioned that the feature is still coming, but they need to be careful about how they implement it. They made it clear that they understand players are concerned about the unfairness of going up against somebody with a keyboard and mouse, so they'll make it a mission to ensure developers have guidelines in place.

With these guidelines, it will be down to the developer to decide whether they add keyboard and mouse support for their games. Developers are also encouraged to give those with a controller the option to only play with other people with a controller. It'll be the same for those that have a keyboard and mouse so that players can be given an equal playing field.

For games that don't have competitive multiplayer, for example, a single player or a co-op game, keyboard and mouse support can be added without the need for a system such as the one mentioned above.

The Xbox team will give developers the opportunity to be coached on how to implement a fair system if a developer does decide to add keyboard and mouse support for their Xbox One title.

  • New GTA Online Content Now Released

new gta online contentThe latest Smuggler's Run update for GTA Online has now been out for just over a week. While the bulk of it, including a new adversary mode, and a number of new jets and planes have already been released, Rockstar has slowly trickled out more content over the past 10 days.

This week, the new Motor Wars adversary mode will now offer players double RP and double cash. The game mode is a play on the popular battle royale mode seen in games like Playerunknown's Battlegrounds.

In Motor Wars, players will drop from the sky and must find a weaponized vehicle spawn as quickly as possible. It's essentially battle royale but with vehicles.

A new T-shirt, the white Shrewsbury logo tee has also been given to players for free, and players can currently get 25% off all vehicle armor. This includes armor for the new air vehicles.

Both the Pegassi Reaper and the Progen Itali GTB are also 25% off for a limited time.

A new plane has also been added as part of an expansion to the Smuggler's Run update, and a new Premium Race has been added.

This week, the Premium Race for GTA Online is Criss Cross. This particular race forces players to drive in the Ruiner 2000. As always, this race will give players triple RP and a larger monetary reward is given out to those that finish in the top 3 spot. The new time trial event is Route 68 - players can get more money and RP for completing the time trial in the set time limit.

  • Siege Operation Blood Orchid Trailer Drops, Out Now

siege operation blood orchidThe new Rainbow Six Siege Operation Blood Orchid expansion is finally out for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

After a long wait, the latest expansion, which adds three new operators, a new map, and a large number of gameplay fixes and balancing changes, has gone live.

Ubisoft released a new trailer for the operation. During the trailer, the new map is showcased, alongside the three new operators.

As mentioned previously, the new map for Operation Blood Orchid is Theme Park. It's a spooky-themed nighttime map that's based on an abandoned theme park. The trailer also shows off Ying and Lesion, the two new operators from Hong Kong. The trailer ends by giving a sneak peek at the third operator, Ela.

Ela is a Polish operator that was originally planned for a now-axed Polish themed operation.

While the trailer does show the three new operators in action, it doesn't do much to showcase their new abilities. We've provided a quick overview of the new operators below.

Ying is a Chinese attacker that can fire a cluster of flashbangs into a room to temporarily blind defenders.

Lesion is a Chinese defender that can throw a device down that can damage and disorientate enemies when it is detonated.

Ela is a Polish defender that can place down gadgets on the floor or on walls. Once the gadget is detonated, enemies nearby temporarily lose their hearing and are given a dizzying effect.

  • All Destiny 2 Exotic Weapons And Armor Leaked

destiny 2 exotic weaponsWhile Destiny 2 still isn't out yet, we have some new information about the game thanks to a recent leak. The new leak reveals all of the exotic weapons and armor that'll come to Destiny 2 on launch day.

The leak was carried out by Reddit users NFSgaming, supadhalster, and SleeperWho.

The leak also contains plenty of information about the game content, the tower, the final campaign mission, the strikes, and some information about the story missions.

The leak also shares detailed information about the new subclasses and the different abilities that they'll have in Destiny 2. The most exciting information, however, is without a doubt the exotics information.

Unfortunately, the leaked images have since been removed, but we can confirm that Destiny 2 will have more new exotics that it originally had in the first Destiny. Players will also be able to get access to some of the exotic weapons and armor pieces originally released in Destiny 1.

Interestingly, the Gjallarhorn rocket launcher will not be making a return to Destiny 2, despite it being one of the most popular exotics in the first Destiny. Other than the Gjallarhorn, it seems as if all other old exotics will be making a return.

If you'd like to look into the new exotics and leaked Destiny 2 story information, it can be found online and in the Destinythegame subreddit on reddit.com. We won't post them here because we understand that the information is loaded with spoilers.
