The latest DLC release for Batman: Arkham Knight has finally made it's way to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The new DLC is named Season of Infamy: Most Wanted and it includes a number of new items and missions.

The main feature of the Season of Infamy: Most Wanted DLC pack are the new missions that star The Mad Hatter, Killer Croc, Mr. Freeze and Ra's Al Ghul. On top of the extra missions, the new DLC also features new Batman and Batmobile skins that are based on Christopher Nolan's adaptation of The Dark Knight.

Below, information from Warner Bros. on the new missions has been posted.

    Season of Infamy Missions Include:

+ Beneath The Surface: The World's Greatest Detective and Nightwing venture out to investigate Iron Heights, a flying airship prison that housed Killer Croc, after it crashed in the waters surrounding Gotham City.

  • Details about $40 Arkham Knight Season Pass Released

arkham knight season passIf you've been keeping up with the latest news about Batman Arkham Knight you may already be aware that Warner Bros. will be releasing a $40 season pass to go along with the game.

Understandably, a lot of fans of the series have been very frustrated with this price. Considering that most season passes are more often closer to $20, Warner Bros. has a lot of explaining to do.

Fortunately the publisher did actually come out and reveal details behind why the season pass costs so much. Whilst they didn't reveal that much about the upcoming DLC for Batman Arkham Knight, they did do a basic rundown of what to expect from it.

On a post on their Facebook page, Warner Bros. said "We've heard from our community that you want more information on what we'll be delivering in the Season Pass. While we aren't ready to unveil every aspect of the content we'll be developing, we would like to share more details now to give you a better sense of the scope of the Season Pass."

Below, the details that Warner Bros. provided have been displayed.

Batgirl: A Matter of Family - An all new prequel story expansion in an entirely new location where you play as Batgirl for the very first time in the Arkham series - check out the first render of Batgirl.

The Season of Infamy - Play as Batman in all new story missions featuring legendary super-villains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features.

Gotham City Stories - Play as Batman's key allies in narrative missions extending their storylines, from both before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Legendary Batmobiles with Themed Tracks - Drive the most iconic Batmobiles from Batman's 75-year history, on custom-built race tracks, each themed to that Batmobile's specific era. Every Batmobile will be drivable across every race track.

Crimefighter Challenge Maps - Engage in a series of new challenge maps utilizing the unique play styles of Batman and his allies.

Character Skins - A variety of skins from across the eras for Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman.

Do you think Warner Bros. should get away with putting the season pass for Arkham Knight up for $40?

  • Batman Arkham Knight Will be Just Shy of 50GB

batman arkham knight file sizeA new screenshot has confirmed that the upcoming game, Batman Arkham Knight will include a huge install size, taking up to 50GB of hard drive space. If you are planning to play Batman Arkham Knight and your PlayStation 4's hard drive space is becoming limited, you may want to clear some space in anticipation for the game's launch later this year.

There are plenty of reasons why Batman Arkham Knight will be 50GB on the PlayStation 4. Firstly, the game features an open world, and by the looks of things it is going to be quite a large world. Another thing to take into consideration is that Batman Arkham Knight has some very impressive visuals. The size of the high definition game files is expected to be very large considering the game looks so great.

In other news, rumors suggest that the Batman Arkham Knight DLC will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 until Fall 2015. Some of this exclusive DLC will include the Scarecrow Nightmare missions, the Justice League 3000 and Classic TV Series Batman costumes and the Classic TV Batmobile skin.

Whilst we do know the install size of the PlayStation 4 version, we do not know what the Xbox One file size will be. We can't imagine there will be much of a difference. We also do not know how much data players may have to install if they play the physical copy instead of the digital version.

  • Batman: Arkham Knight Gets June 2015 Release Date

arkham knight release dateThe next game in the Batman Arkham series has finally been given the release date treatment by Rocksteady games and we can now confidently say that Batman: Arkham Knight will be releasing next year on June 2015 for current gen consoles.

Whilst the main version of Batman Arkham Knight can be pre-ordered for $59.99 from various retailers, gamers who are big fans of the series may want to take a look at ordering either of the two limited edition versions of the game instead.

The standard limited edition will cost $99.99 and will come with an 80 page artbook, issue zero of the Batman: Arkham Knight comic book, three in-game New 52 character skins, a detailed Batman statue and a Steelbook case.

The limited edition sounds pretty impressive as it is, but this is just the start. For huge fans out there, there is the Batmobile edition. The Batmobile edition will come with all of the above, however the Batman statue will be replaced with a transforming Batmobile statue created by Triforce.

As mentioned before, Batman Arkham Knight will be released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC in June 2015 next year.

Batman Arkham Knight was originally planned to release in the 2014 launch window for both the Xbox One and the PS4, but it had since been delayed so that Rocksteady Studios could fully polish the game before releasing it. Guy Perkins, marketing manager for Rocksteady stated that "We feel that we have an absolutely awesome game in the works, and we want to make it as great as it possibly can be," so I personally think the delay is justified here.

  • New Arkham Knight Game Will Have the Arkham Knight as The Villain

arkham knight new villainSo far, every Batman game under RockSteady's wing has been Arkham something; Arkham Origins, Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, etc, and it's all led back to Batman. However, some new information reveals that despite our previous thoughts, the Arkham Knight isn't Batman at all.

In fact, the Arkham Knight will be the main villain in the upcoming Batman game, and if you're a fan of the Arkham series, you'll agree with me when I say that this sounds absolutely exciting.

However, the odd thing is, this will be the first time that RockSteady Studios change up the world of Batman so much that they introduce a completely new character unseen in the world of Batman before.

This is obviously a big move for the franchise in general, especially considering that it's now many decades old, but if anyone were to bring a new villain to the world of Batman, I entrust RockSteady to do a pretty job at it.

It seems the new villain has taken inspiration from Batman himself, and early images show the Arkham Knight wearing some sort of futuristic bat suit. I'm sure Batman won't be pleased that someone else there is impersonating him, and I'm sure it will create for some very interesting moments in the upcoming Batman Arkham game.

As it stands, Batman Arkham Knight is set for release on October 14th, for the Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4, we'll probably see a lot more about the new villain, and the various other new mechanics of the new game leading up to it's release.

  • Screenshots for Batman: Arkham Knight Appear

    batman arkham knight batmobile

The last Batman game let the rest of the series down a little, but it looks like Rocksteady Studios aren't looking to slow down production any time soon. New images have been shown off for the new and upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight game, and they pretty much capture everything we've already come to know and love in the dark Batman Arkham universe.

The screenshots show a few different characters and gameplay mechanics in action. The most interesting is the new batmobile game mechanic. As players are traveling through the city in Batman: Arkham Knight, players will be able to call in the batmobile whilst gliding to a landing spot.

The batmobile will smash through anything in it's way to give Batman a safe place to land. From here, players will be able to travel around the city streets with the vehicle, instead of just on foot or in the air.

If you were let down by Arkham Origins, it's important to note that Origins was developed by Warner Bros. The upcoming Arkham Knight game will be made by Rocksteady Studios once again, so we can expect that the title will have the same gameplay quality as the first titles under RockSteady's name.

Batman Arkham Knight has been speculated to release this October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We'll probably see some gameplay leading up to that, and perhaps a full gameplay teaser at E3 this year.
