Oh happy day. The love of my life Joseph Gordon-Levitt (if youve been following my blogs, you know my current affinity for him and the new Spidey Andrew Garfield) is officially signing on for the next Batman sequel, The Dark Knight Rises. Apparently, Gordon-Levitt will be playing Alberto Falcone, the youngest son of Mafia Boss Carmine Falcone who was played by Tom Wilkinson in 2005s Batman Begins. Alberto Falcone, otherwise known as The Holiday Killer, will continue the Chris Nolan trend of using more realistic nemeses instead of the cartoony ones like Poison Ivy, Penguin, and the Riddler. I think [...]

Girl Gamer's Pick: Princess Peach vs. Princess Zelda
Posted on February 10, 2011 by Evil Ambassador Olson
Two of the most quintessential females in gaming history (namely, Nintendos history) have only been matched up to fight each other before in games drastically affected by a gamers skill, and not their inherent character traits or abilities. So, because games like Super Smash Brothers dont truly justify who would win in some sort of fighting pageant between the two without the overwhelming differences of skill between varying gamers, I decided to measure up the two based on a variety of different factors.
Best hair: PeachI have to give this one to Peach, because, frankly, it looks like she spends a [...]

Game Reviews - Halo: Reach Online Experience
Multiplayer for Halo Reach will give players options they have not had before. Reach will give players the options of "loadouts" a feature that allows player to choose a predefined choice of weaponry when they spawn. This feature is a dramatic change gamers will love. Gamers will be able to choose between having a jetpack, sprinting faster, camouflage or having an energy shield when playing against others. This feature will completely change how gamers play with one another. Competitive gamers will need to use the different loadouts for strategic purposes against other teams. Gamers [...]

Xbox 360 Lives on... At least for Another Couple of Years
Posted on August 23, 2010 by Evil Mayor
Microsoft announced that it hopes to add 5 more years to the lifespan of its most recent console. Now the X-Box 360 has been released since its days back around 2005, and it has recently reported its first ever, profitable quarter. Microsoft believes that the Kinect and future services and features will contribute to this proposed lifespan. In this blogger's opinion, this could be a good thing and a not so good thing. I'll start with the not so good. If Microsoft is planning to expand its console's life by five years, there is a possibility that within those five [...]

IF YOU CAN DODGE A WRENCH YOU CAN DODGE A BALL, WAIT IS THAT MARIO?
Posted on August 4, 2010 by Evil Mayor
LA is known for so many things and now they can add having a video game-themed dodgeball team into the mix as well. People come out and play dodgeball dressed up as video game characters. It isn't a rule that you have to dress up every week, but who doesn't want to dress up as their favorite character and make them really come to life. Participants get creative with their costumes and display a wide variety of characters from Mario and Sonic to Duck hunt and Carmen Sandiego. This is just another way to bring video games to another level [...]

The Demand for Multiplayer Games
Posted on July 19, 2010 by Evil Mayor
Need for Multiplayer Games rises
As both Xbox and Playstation's online multiplayer communities grow, game developers are feeling the pressure to add multiplayer modes to their games. Rockstar left the multiplayer mode off their previous generation games and now feels the need to add extensive online support to this round of games. Some argue the multiplayer modes are superfluous and take away from the single player focus. Others say the multiplayer adds to the life of an only single player game. Most fall somewhere in the middle, and feel that the multiplayer mode is needed and/or used most often depending on [...]

X-Box is without question the most popular video game console, especially now with their recent release of the X-Box Kinect. However, there is one console X-Box/Microsoft has yet to develop in which competitor's like Nintendo and Sony have already developed and released and that is a Hand-held device. So, Nintendo has released the hand-held device called the Nintendo DS and Sony has released the PSP, both are very popular in terms of portable gaming device. CONVENIENT TECHNOLOGY FOR THOSE AA BATTERIES, PLUS AND MINUS SIGNS BE GONE
The plus and minus signs on a standard battery are not the easiest things to read and can be the one reason why are controllers or remotes aren't working, but we never think that something as simple as putting the batteries in a different way could be the culprit to our problems. Microsoft however has now come up with a solution called InstaLoad. This new technology allows you to put the batteries in whichever way that you happen to place them and yet they still work. This could be [...]
