  • New Screenshots of Batman: Arkham Knight shown

batman arkham knight screenshotsThe next Batman game is called Batman: Arkham Knight, and it is currently looking very, very, interesting. Whilst Warner Bros didn't do such a good job with Batman Arkham Origins, Rocksteady games are looking to redeem the series.

They did a great job with the previous Batman games, so I'm pretty sure they are going to go out with a bang with Batman: Arkham Knight, or at least that's what I am hoping.

So far, we know that Batman Arkham Knight will feature Scarecrow. A cinematic trailer was released earlier this year that showed off the Batman fighting crime in Gotham City. In the trailer, Scarecrow threatened to cover the city in his infamous fear toxin. As a result, the city gets abandoned, and it's left for the baddies to patrol.

Batman Arkham Knight may be the most open world game yet, and will feature a large variety of different Batman villains, although the main focus will be on Scarecrow this time round.

New screens of Batman Arkham Knight were shared this week, and they look absolutely stunning. The amount of detail on these images is insane, and we can only hope that the game will feature graphics anywhere near the quality of these screenshots.

Batman Arkham Knight has been set for release on October 14th this year. The game will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC upon it's release in October. Will you be picking up Rocksteady's next Batman game?

  • Batman: Arkham Knight Gets June 2015 Release Date

arkham knight release dateThe next game in the Batman Arkham series has finally been given the release date treatment by Rocksteady games and we can now confidently say that Batman: Arkham Knight will be releasing next year on June 2015 for current gen consoles.

Whilst the main version of Batman Arkham Knight can be pre-ordered for $59.99 from various retailers, gamers who are big fans of the series may want to take a look at ordering either of the two limited edition versions of the game instead.

The standard limited edition will cost $99.99 and will come with an 80 page artbook, issue zero of the Batman: Arkham Knight comic book, three in-game New 52 character skins, a detailed Batman statue and a Steelbook case.

The limited edition sounds pretty impressive as it is, but this is just the start. For huge fans out there, there is the Batmobile edition. The Batmobile edition will come with all of the above, however the Batman statue will be replaced with a transforming Batmobile statue created by Triforce.

As mentioned before, Batman Arkham Knight will be released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC in June 2015 next year.

Batman Arkham Knight was originally planned to release in the 2014 launch window for both the Xbox One and the PS4, but it had since been delayed so that Rocksteady Studios could fully polish the game before releasing it. Guy Perkins, marketing manager for Rocksteady stated that "We feel that we have an absolutely awesome game in the works, and we want to make it as great as it possibly can be," so I personally think the delay is justified here.
