  • Modern Warfare 3 Survival Mode

    Modern Warfare 3

There have been some rumors surrounding the new Modern Warfare titleregarding a new game type called survival mode. Recently, however, it seems thatthese rumors have been confirmed and the new gameplay mode is in its beta stage.Survival mode will basically be a wave defense gameplay type that will take theplace of zombies in MW3. In my mind, I picture something similar to horde modein the Gears of War series, and if this is the case I am really excited to get to try it out.

This new game mode in Modern Warfare 3 is going to be awesome, becauseinstead of mindless zombies chasing you through extensive maps, you will bebattling intelligent bots that actually shoot back. This provides the gamer with awhole new challenge, and the strategy involved will be massively different from therun and gun style zombies. It is going to be a whole new experience with theModern Warfare gameplay, and personally I am glad to see this new addition to thefranchise.

Unfortunately at the moment it does not appear that any gameplay fromsurvival mode has been released, but we will keep our eyes and ears pealed for newinformation. Anytime something new gets added to titles such as Modern Warfare Iget excited because the game developers have already created an amazing title, andsubsequently the addition of survival mode can only be for the better.

  • Thinking ahead on our MW2/Black Ops controllers for MW3

Evil Controller mods for Modern Warfare and Black Ops, what it can possibly do for Modern Warfare 3.

So with talk of Modern Warfare 3 on the way and talks that it will be previewed at E3 this year, we here at Evil began thinking about how our controllers will help everyone's experience, as our controllers in the past have enhanced everyone's experience in all games in the Call of Duty series. So why not take a gander at what our controllers offer for games like Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops?

First what comes to everyone's mind is the must-have controller for anyone who's played MW2 or Black Ops, the Auto Burst controller. With seven different modes of rapid fire function from 3-round bursts to full universal automatic, it's a must have modded controller for anyone playing Call of Duty. It's been known to dominate others with the Auto Burst function on Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 with the M-16, FAL, and FAMAS (just to name a few).

There's always the Fast reload controller (pictured here in a white shell) for both games. For any serious gamer, you got to have both rapid fire and the fast reload. With giving you the ability to be able to reload faster in game like Black Ops where every second counts. Combine the Fast Reloading with the Rapid Fire feature that makes any single shot or semi-automatic weapon into a full automatic, and you have something that means pure in-game dominance.

Last but not least, is the granddaddy of controllers for MW2 and Black Ops, our Master Mod (seen here in Woodland Camo). This controller has Adjustable Rapid Fire, Auto Burst and the Fast Reload configurations. With Rapid Fire for increasing your rate of fire, Auto Burst for those times in tight situations, and a Fast Reload function to reload faster to get back into the game faster, this is a modded controller a Black Ops expert or a veteran of MW2 got to have in their collection!

So you're probably asking what features would Evil Controllers modded controller for Modern Warfare 3 have? Well, we at Evil like to stay ahead of the curve and think ahead. We will likely work hard to make sure all of our best fitting functions and features be available for everyone that plays Modern Warfare 3. So likely in MW3, you'll be auto bursting your M-16 in a Search and Destroy and dominating others in a deathmatch with a fast reloading FAL. While wecannotpredict the future of our controllers in MW3, we do know that we will be there to provide the right controller for you when you need it.

  • News on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

The next installment in the Call of Duty series seems to be getting closer.

So looks like things are picking up for Activision and Infinity Ward, as they released a statement (you can find it here on Kotaku) that the next installment in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series will be pushing the envelope when it comes to what people expect. So knowing the series, they're going to go beyond the Michael Bay-like explosions and second-by-second action-filled storyline events, which is awesome.

The storyline is what I'm really fixated on. A lot of people call the story and plots of the previous Modern Warfares to be very intense and be of something that you would see out of a hit blockbuster action movie like "The Rock" or "Blackhawk Down", but that's what the consumer audience like you and me like. But in addition to its adrenaline pumping settings, there's a lot of complex story elements that make you listen closely to what everyone says or does. So knowing how the current storyline is, I do wonder what will happen to people like Pvt. Ramirez and Sgt. Foley. Lot of questions need to be answered. "What's Moscow like currently?" "Is other countries getting involved like China?" We will have to wait.

Going on to gameplay. When they said they were going to go beyond our expectations, it probably means they've been refining the MW2 engine or making a new one based on previous versions. Call of Duty redefined how and what an FPS should be, with the proof being other games mimicking them with success (like Medal of Honor).

They did release that there will be bigger maps and more interactive elements to the game. When they mean interactive elements, they mean things like more detailed destructive environments. So we can probably expect that it is possible to blow up debris and buildings if they get in our way. Seems the developers did their homework and research, taking a bit of the page from Battlefield's book.

Well more news about the next Call of Duty will be revealed at this year's E3. Until then, we will have to wait patiently until E3 or when Activision releases some more news about the game.
