Shiro Suzuki Thanks Resident Evil for Making Him Live So Long
Shiro Suzuki, a famed actor and broadcaster in Japan, loves to play Resident Evil games a lot. Kotaku and many other sources found out that he was a gamer when he told them that he discovered gaming over fifteen years ago. However after all those years, the Resident Evil series (or Biohazard as the Japanese call it) continues to be his favorite to this day.
At the recent Resident Evil event, celebrating the game's anniversary, Shiro Suzuki spoke about his love of the series but also his love for video games.
"I [...]

Capcom Releases the Latest Details on its Latest Sequel for the Resident Evil Series
With the recent announcement and trailer for Resident Evil 6 during Capcom's big 15th anniversary event in Japan, fans thought that would be all the details they would be getting for now. However, Capcom delivered even more information about the game beyond the trailer. It seems Leon will be joined by a new female protagonist named Helena Harper, while Chris Redfield's partner remains unknown at this time.
In addition, the trailer had a huge snarling beast which has been given the name of "Javo,". According to the new [...]

Namco and Capcom Teases Pac-Man as a Playable Character in for the Vita's Street Fighter x Tekken
Just recently, thanks to the news from Joystiq, Capcom released a new trailer for their upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken game. The trailer basically goes over the confirmed characters as well as showing a few new ones like Tekken's Paul Phoenix Xiaoyu and as well as Street Fighter's Vega and Balrog (or Balrog and Mike Bison if you follow the Japanese version of Street Fighter). However, that's not the big news right now.
At the end of the video, Capcom talked about their development for [...]

Play as the Devourer of Worldsin Ultimate MVC3
I always wished there was some way to play as the boss, seeing as they are the cheapest of the cheap and have all the cool abilities. Aside from the instance of playing as Apocalypse in X-men vs Street Fighter on the PS1, there really was no chance of you ever taking the reigns of the other bosses like Abyss in Marvel vs Capcom 2...until now.
Thanks tosome released news on Joystiq, Ulitmate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will allow us to control the ever-so-cheap Galactus. Capcom's strategy manager, Seth Killian, revealed at New York [...]

ComicCon News: Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 announced!
In released news from San Diego ComicCon, Capcom has announced that Marvel vs. Capcom 3, (which was just released this past February) is being re-released again this November in a updated version called Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. So this upcoming November, you'll be dishing out damage on Sentinel spammers with Marvel's Ghost Rider and Hawkeye while bringing the pain with Capcom's Firebrand and Strider Hiryu. In addition to the large addition of twelve characters, there will be more features such as online spectator mode (where instead of waiting for others in game [...]

Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica to be re-released in High Definition.
A little while ago, Kotaku reported the first screen captured images of a Biohazard (Resident Evil) revival in HD and that was all we heard about the re-release of the popular action-horror game until today.
Seen on Kotaku,a trailer was released for Biohazard: Revival Selection. While it was for a Japanese release, knowing Capcom and their knowledge of the west's love for horror action zombie-populated video games, it's likely they're going to released to North American and European audiences.
While the trailer is stunning, I must ask one thing [...]

Fighting Game Developers lend Moral Support to Japan
As you know, last week we reported that video game companies are lending their support in the relief effort in Japan. Well just recently, Capcom is lending more of their support (morally) by providing some wallpapers to remind people to lend a hand.
Seen and read here (if you can read Japanese), the developers of Capcom issued this statement:
On March 11th, we felt great sympathy for those effected by the Earthquake here in Japan. In light of the disaster, we will not be doing any upcoming events that are Street Fighter related [like their [...]

As of this Tuesday, Nintendo confirmed that the first-day 3DS sales in the United States were the highest ever for any Nintendo hand-held system. Unfortunately, however, no exact numbers were released and wont be released until early to mid April (which, I guess isnt that far away, even though it sure feels like it), when they announce the first-week US sales.
The 3DS, which launched on the 27th in the United States, sold a hefty amount through preorders, which apparently doubled the amount of preorders for the Wii on Amazon. The 3DS also came with about 30 new titles released [...]

Video Game Companies are giving aid to Japan to help recover from the Earthquake and Tsunami.
With last week's earthquake and tsunami in Japan, a lot of the world has come to the aid in helping it recover. In addition to major charities and governments giving a helping hand to the country of Japan, a number of video game companies are doing their part as well to help in the relief effort.
One of the companies is Japan's own Square Enix. The Square Enix Group is giving 100 million yen (that's around $1.22 million US) to the relief effort. In [...]

I was happy enough to be invited to a release party for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on Valentines hosted by the nice people who organize the annual Devastation tournament, which, in my opinion, was certainly better than some lame date with some guy I barely know that felt obligated to have a Valentine. Although it was over an hour of a trek, another Evil coworker and I gladly drove out, Evil D-pads and swag in arms to give away to attendees.
The party was at the Best Buy out in Surprise, AZ, and probably housed over 50 excited gamers in attendance [...]
