  • New Multiplayer The Last of Us DLC Planned

last of us dlcDespite Naughty Dog recently putting a lot of effort into The Last of Us Remastered for the PlayStation 4, they still have been working on plans for more The Last of Us content, namely new DLC.

However, unlike the first DLC pack, any future content for The Last of Us will be exclusive to multiplayer, leaving the main story untouched.

Whilst the story of The Last of Us is it's main selling point, it makes sense that Naughty Dog don't want to water it down with DLC content that isn't perhaps too related to the main story, and any extra multiplayer content will most likely be appreciated.

When asked about DLC, community strategist for Naughty Dog, Arne Meyer stated that "We just wanted to say when we released the Remastered version, we know there's a lot of DLC out there, and that we weren't going to stop supporting both the PS3 and PS4 versions. We do have some DLC planned [but] it'll be multiplayer-focused. We're not ready to talk about the details yet, but throughout the rest of the year we'll have some DLC drops."

What are your thoughts on Naughty Dog's stance on multiplayer DLC for The Last of Us? I personally haven't had much time in the multiplayer portion of the game, but it's certainly peaked my interest at times.

The Last of Us Remastered, which comes bundled with all current DLC for the PS3 version of the game, will be released July 29th.

  • Want To Plank On Your Enemies In Killzone: Shadow Fall? Pay $2 and You Can!

killzone fart packNo, I'm not kidding - Guerrilla Games have just released a brand new DLC pack that will allow players to fart on their fallen enemies. The new "Fun & Games Spotlight Pack" for Killzone Shadowfall was recently released for the PlayStation 4, and it comes with a wide range of benefits.

Along with being able to perform farts at will, players who purchase and download the Fun & Games Spotlight Pack for Killzone Shadowfall will also be able to perform other 'comedy actions' such as planking and strange humiliating moves that should help bring the rage out in your enemies.

The new actions have been called spotlight moves, and they can all be accessed by purchasing the $2 Fun & Games Spotlight DLC pack.

I've noticed a lot of gamers and critics seem to be a bit disappointed with the whole idea, but personally I see nothing wrong with it. Players do not have to spend a penny on these Spotlight moves, and unlike other DLC content out there, purchasing the Spotlight pack doesn't offer players any real gameplay benefits over other players.

The Spotlight pack simply serves as a way for fans to support their devs even further whilst having a little fun doing so. If you do buy the Fun & Games Spotlight pack, just please make sure to use it with caution. We're not responsible for any angry hate mail you may receive for farting on or intimidating your opponents.

  • Battlefield 4's Next DLC, Dragon's Teeth, will Release July 15

BF4 Dragons Teeth July 15Despite us being a third of the way through July already, EA have still not officially given us the details on the release date for Battlefield 4's next DLC pack, Dragon's Teeth.

However, a slip up on the EA Origin twitter account revealed what may be the planned date for the Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth DLC. The tweet read, "Save 20% on #BF4 Premium right now, then jump into #DragonsTeeth on July 15th."

The tweet that mentioned the July 15th date for Dragon's Teeth was removed quickly, and soon replaced with the same message, with "Save 20% on #BF4 Premium right now, then jump into #DragonsTeeth 2 weeks early."

We can gather three things from this information; firstly, someone working the Origin twitter account made a slip-up and is probably getting shouted at for it, secondly Battlefield Premium owners will be getting Dragon's Teeth on July 15th, and regular users will be able to purchase the Dragon's Teeth DLC two weeks later, which will be July 29th.

If you purchased the $39.99 season pass, you should be in the clear for receiving the Dragon's Teeth DLC pack for free on July 15th, however as this date isn't official yet, there is a small chance the next DLC pack for Battlefield 4 may be pushed back a little.

Either way, it's likely Dragon's Teeth for Battlefield 4 will be out this July, at least for any Battlefield 4 Premium members.

  • PS4 GTA V will Gain Some Kind of Console Exclusive

GTA V PS4 exclusiveIt seems a lot of developers are currently very happy to team up with Sony to offer various PlayStation 4 exclusives, including Bungie, the creators of Destiny, and now it even looks like Rockstar may be doing the same.

Whilst the details are unclear, PlayStation's North American marketing vice president, John Koller. revealed to Kotaku that there would be some sort of PlayStation 4 exclusive GTA V content or 'perk' that no other platform would receive. When asked by Kotaku about PS4 exclusive content, Koller replied with "I don't think we announced anything publicly on that, but there will be." This is a pretty detail-void response, but it does tell us that something will be different about the PS4 GTA V experience.

As far as Koller is concerned, Grand Theft Auto has also been a PlayStation based franchise, and Sony's relationship with Rockstar has always been strong. Whether or not we'll see some kind of content in-game exclusive to the PlayStation 4 is unclear at this point, but Koller is certainly suggesting that the PS4 version of GTA V will have something completely exclusive.

Perhaps the only difference will be to do with graphical performance, or maybe PS4 players will receive an extra car for online play. Right now, we'll just have to wait it out till we hear more about the topic. Luckily, it shouldn't be too long before we hear more about Rockstar's 'exclusive' PS4 content, as Grand Theft Auto V is set for release this fall for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC.

We'll keep you updated as more information comes in about this.

  • New Gameplay Tweaks Being Made Alongside BF4 Dragon's Teeth DLC

dragons teeth bf4Battlefield 4 had a rocky start when it first released, and the game was filled with various bugs, crash problems and balancing issues, and DICE are still working on adjusting the issues that made it into the game on day one. In fact, the next upcoming DLC pack for Battlefield 4 will be launched alongside some major core gameplay changes that DICE believe will keep a lot of Battlefield fans happy.

Firstly, a few changes will be made to Rush mode, one of the most played games on Battlefield currently. The new changes to Rush, according to DICE will help improve the game's balance and flow, and DICE are currently testing these changes in a live environment on Siege of Shanghai, Zavod 311 and Operation Locker. Some of the changes to Rush include a reduced radar sweep range around attacker's bases, the removal of commander by default, and changes to MCOM placement and cover passes.

The ballistic shield will also be getting a nerf so that one-hit kills with it are no longer possible, and tank AP-rounds can now annihilate players carrying shields, just like they should be able to.

Finally, DICE will be making adjustments to overall gun mechanics, including recoil and ADS changes. Most of these new changes will go live when the next Battlefield 4 DLC, Dragon's Teeth is released across all platforms. Players should also soon see an improvement in server performance over the coming months, as DICE have just finished testing server and network performance.

  • New Update Adds Tournaments to Trials Fusion

trials fusion tournamentsA brand new free update has just rolled out for Trials Fusion, and surprisingly it adds a few new gameplay features to the Trials universe. Whilst the season pass for Trials Fusion reportedly will contain brand new content for the game, this new update will download automatically and absolutely free of charge.

In the new Trials Fusion update, players will be able to compete in a brand new Tournaments mode - in this mode, time limited tracks will be placed into the game that players will be able to compete on, with the goal to rank as high as possible on the Tournament leaderboards.

Placing on the leaderboards will give players the opportunity to unlock rider equipment, bike parts, experience points and in-game currency. There will be three different ongoing tournaments at any given time, giving all players a chance to rank in the leaderboards.

Ubisoft have also added a new system that puts up 10 of the best player created tracks for Trials enthusiasts to find and play - these new tracks will be located within Track Central.

This new update came as quite a surprise to most Trials Fusion players; a recent season pass was revealed to include 6 upcoming DLC expansion packs, but the content in this update has been made available free of charge for all players.

If you did purchase the season pass and you're curious about the upcoming DLC, you won't have long to wait. Ubisoft have mentioned that the first DLC pack should be released sometime this summer.

  • PC and Xbox 360 Versions of Halo The Master Chief Collection Unlikely

halo master chief collection xbox 360Would you be surprised if I told you that 343 Industries have no plans to introduce Halo: The Master Chief Collection to the Xbox 360 or the PC? I know I certainly wouldn't, as it seems Microsoft have found that The Master Chief Collection would be a solid way to encourage a bunch of their core fans to move over to the Xbox One platform.

However, it's not all just about business practice - according to a blog by 343 Industries on the Halo Waypoint, the Xbox 360 just wouldn't be able to handle the Master Chief Collection. At first, that seems like an odd thing to realize, especially considering all four games in the collection were released for either the Xbox 360 or the original Xbox, but if you think about it, it makes sense.

Halo 4 on it's own already takes two discs to play on the Xbox 360, and that doesn't include the extra included DLC maps. Throw in Halo 3, Halo 2 anniversary, which has been overhauled with brand new cutscenes, and the Halo Combat Evolved anniversary, and you'd have a collection that spans across at least four to five different discs.

That kind of approach to the Master Chief Collection would certainly not be the kind of unified experience 343 Industries were looking for. Of course, there's always the question of why 343 can't port the collection over to the PC, but I'm sure that really does just come down to Xbox One business practice.

The Master Chief Collection will be released for Xbox One on November 11th, 2014, alongside a brand new digital Halo series.

  • Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth Detailed for July

Dragons teeth DLCNew leaked listings have revealed the upcoming fourth DLC pack for Battlefield 4, as well as detailing the content that players will be able to expect from the installation. The fourth DLC has been named Dragon's Teeth, and it will come with a variety of new maps, weapons vehicles and equipment.

The main focus of the new Dragon's Teeth DLC is on the four new maps. All four of the new DLC maps for Battlefield 4 will be based in Asian cities, and have been named Lumphini Garden, Pearl Market, Propaganda and Sunken Dragon.

So far, we haven't got any solid footage or images of the four new maps, but I'm certainly interested to see what kind of gameplay we can expect from the Asian city based maps. Dragon's Teeth will also add a few new weapons into the mix, a ballistic shield which has the ability to block incoming bullets, and the R.A.W.R - a new vehicle that can be remotely controlled and is heavily armed.

There is also a new territorial capture game called Chain Link, and 10 new assignments with new unlocks for each of these.

The Dragon's Teeth DLC has been rumored to release in July for PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles. The full price of the fourth Battlefield 4 DLC has not yet been revealed, but it will be available for free to anybody that purchased the $50 season pass, along with the other four DLCs.

  • InFamous Last Light Standalone DLC Announced at E3

inFamous Last LightWhilst InFamous Second Son was only just released this year, Sucker Punch Studios have already been working on new content that takes the InFamous story into new pastures. InFamous Last Light was revealed at E3 this week, and it has been named as a standalone DLC for Second Son that takes a focus on Abigail Walker, AKA Fetch, and the origins of her powers.

We're not sure why Sucker Punch Studios decided to create the new InFamous content as a standalone package, but it will mean players who are new to the series will be able to play through Last Light without owning InFamous Second Son.

Hopefully Last Light will have a regular DLC price, despite being a standalone product, however so far we're not sure what the actual price will be, or how much content the standalone DLC will include.

What we do know though is that if you have enjoyed any of the previous InFamous games, you may want to pick up Last Light as it takes a further delve into the origins of the franchise, and I think the DLC will be quite a story-driven experience. Sucker Punch seem to want to appeal to new players too, though, so I expect the standalone DLC will be free from any major spoilers, and hopefully it will act as a great entry into the franchise.

InFamous Last Light will be released this August, and you'll be able to pick it up online from the PlayStation Network Store.
