  • New Advanced Warfare DLC Available on Xbox One

    advanced warfare reckoning dlc

The latest Advanced Warfare DLC pack is now available on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. As part of the exclusivity deal with Microsoft, the latest DLC will not be available on other platforms until next month.

The new DLC pack is called Reckoning and it features a variety of new content. Unfortunately Reckoning does not include a bonus weapon like previous DLC packs have, but it does include other exciting content.

In total, there are four new multiplayer maps in the Reckoning DLC pack and a new exo-zombies map. The first map is called Fracture and it features an ice digging facility located near one of the poles. You'll find yourself on a sinking ice cap that slowly sinks throughout each match.

Overload is the second map and this is located in the middle east. Players will find themselves fighting in a large, luxury hotel filled with all sorts of expensive items.

Quarantine is the third map and this places players on a disease ridden island. The map is very close quarters. Finally, Swarm is the last multiplayer map and this features a Korean suburb.

The new exo-zombie map is called Descent and this puts players on an island.

The new Reckoning DLC is part of the season pass but if you'd like to pick up the DLC without owning the season pass you will have to cough up $14.99.

Reckoning is the fourth and final DLC pack for Advanced Warfare. In the past, three other DLC packs have been released with extra maps, more exo-suit survival chapters and some extra weapons. Players can also pick up various cosmetic DLC packs but these are not available within the season pass.

  • Predator Announced as Third Mortal Kombat X Character

    predator mortal kombat x

Mortal Kombat X will soon be getting another DLC character added to it's roster and this time round the character will be a special guest star.

If you've been paying attention to the DLC plans for Mortal Kombat X, you may already know that the next planned DLC character for the game will be Predator. This character has been planned to release at some point next month, and like previous DLC characters, is available for free to any players that have purchased the $30 Kombat pack.

Players can also purchase characters separately, or alternatively they can try out the DLC characters for free whenever their corresponding player tower is rotated into the game.

Unfortunately we don't know too much about Predator just yet. A reveal trailer has not yet been released so we have no details about Predator's move set. What we do know is that Ed Boon has revealed one single promotional image of Predator fighting Jax. If you've got a keen eye you may have noticed that the promotional image (shown above) includes a brand new skin for Jax as well.

It looks like Jax will be dressed up as Carl Weathers from the Predator movie as an alternative costume. Hopefully the costume will be released alongside the release of the Predator DLC character.

As soon as we know when the Predator character will be released, we'll let you know. Hopefully NetherRealm has a proper trailer for the character in the works right this second.

  • More The Witcher 3 Free DLC Revealed

    the witcher 3 dlc

The next free The Witcher 3 DLC has been revealed and unlike most of the previously released content, this new DLC will feature an extra quest that adds extra playtime to the game. Whilst CD Projekt Red usually release two DLC items per week, there will only be one DLC item this week.

The DLC in question is a side quest called Where the Cat and Wolf Play... and it is the penultimate free DLC available to all The Witcher 3 players. Next week we will see the last DLC item from CD Projekt Red before they start to work on full blown expansions, so let's hope we get something special to go out with a bang.

If we don't get anything particularly special next week, we do still have the side quest this week to look forward to. CD Projekt Red has described the side quest a little, explaining that players will be able to explore an abandoned village as they try to understand the village's history.

Players will be able to find a new witcher contract in Oreton village once the DLC has been released. The description below is what CD Projekt Red has provided their fans.

"Explore a forgotten village and discover its terrifying secret. Find out who or what slaughtered its inhabitants and use all your witcher skills to confront this mysterious force."

Are you looking forward to checking out the latest DLC quest for The Witcher 3? I can imagine it will be just as decent as the other DLC side quests that have been added in the past.

  • Evolve is Getting a Second Season Pass

    evolve

If the original huge pocket of DLC for Evolve wasn't enough for you, then you should get yourself prepared for more because Turtlerock has just announced yet another season pass for the game. Yes, that's right, Evolve will be getting another wave of DLC and there's nothing you can do about it.

The DLC in question will be featured in the Evolve Hunting Pass 2 and it will include four new hunters, one new monster and some exclusive skins only available in the season pass. Any new maps released during this time will be available for all players, just like previous content, and these maps will be available for free.

The first piece of DLC has already been listed - it will be a new Assault class hunter named Lennox and she'll be the first hunter to ever feature a melee attack. She'll come with a special mechanized suit that is equipped with a Plasma Lance.

Whilst Turtlerock has revealed the news about the DLC, Take-Two, Turtlerock's publisher seem to have just as much to do with it as Turtlerock does.

"As you know, Evolve is very multiplayer-focused, and that's worked for people--we've had something like 27 million game sessions played, And we've sold-in over 2.5 million units. We're really happy with where it's going. It isn't 10 million units...yet. But it is an important franchise for us."

It seems like a weird choice, but let's just hope Evolve 2 isn't right around the corner and maybe the second season pass won't be so bad.

  • GTA Online Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2 Coming Next Week

    gta ill-gotten gains

The Ill-Gotten Gains update was released earlier in the year for GTA Online but Rockstar had already had plans at that time to release a part 2 of the Ill-Gotten Gains update. Rockstar has now announced that the second part of the update will be coming out next week.

Part 2 of the Ill-Gotten Gains update will be pushed out to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC on July 8. Just like the first part of the update, the next Ill-Gotten Gains update will add a number of new clothing items, vehicles and other purchasable content.

The 2nd update will also add the new radio station, The Lab, to consoles. Previously The Lab was released on PC but it will now be pushed out to all other platforms as well.

So far Rockstar has not mentioned what content will be added to part 2 of the Ill-Gotten Gains update but it is assumed that we'll be hearing a bit more about exactly what we can expect a little closer to the release date. On top of the Ill-Gotten Gains update, an event will be held on the 4th of July that will add a number of Independance Day items. Last year, the same items were added to GTA Online before being taken down shortly afterwards.

If you'd like to get some fireworks, explosives, or even better, a firework launching rocket launcher, then definitely check out GTA Online on the 4th of July.

  • 8 new Destiny House of Wolves Bounties Revealed

destiny house of wolves bounties8 new wanted bounties have been found out by Destiny players and they have been in the game since the House of Wolves expansion.

The 8 new bounties can be collected by killing different enemies spread across different locations in Destiny. When you claim a bounty, you'll be rewarded with Grimoire. There will often be Weekly Bounties that offer extra rewards for claiming a spotlighted enemy, and these 8 new bounties are likely to appear in the Weekly Bounties for the House of Wolves expansion over the next couple of months.

The first new bounty is Wolf Enforcer and this can be found in the Devils Lair Strike. The second bounty is Silent Fang - this one can be located in the Forgotten Shores. The final bounty in the Patrol Cosmodrome is Queenbreaker Captain and this bounty can be found at Dock 13.

For Patrol Venus bounties, The Ether Runner can be found in the same place The Gate Lord was originally found and there's also the Repeater Shank which is in the first spawn area for the Nexus Strike. There's one bounty near the Vault of Glass entrance at Campus 9 named Wolf's Guard.

Finally, the Patrol Moon bounties include the High Servitor and the Twisted Claw, both of which can be found in The Summoning Pits.

In other news, Bungie has made subtle hints towards cheaters, stating that they are "always watching." They haven't threatened to get the banhammer out yet, but it could certainly be coming to those who aren't playing by the rules, especially in the Crucible.

  • Bloodborne Expansion is Definitely Coming

bloodborne expansion dlcIt's been confirmed that an expansion for Bloodborne will definitely be coming in the future and From Software are already going over ideas for new content. Unlike many other games these days, Bloodborne did not come with a season pass from day one so players have been curious about the developer's DLC plans.

Whilst there weren't any definite plans for future content in the past, Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed on Twitter that an upcoming expansion will be coming for Bloodborne. Unfortunately not many details have been shared so far, but Yoshida has mentioned that more information will be shared later this year.

Considering that Shuhei Yoshida is Sony Computer Entertainment's World Wide Studio's president it's pretty clear that this information can be trusted and a Bloodborne expansion is definitely coming.

It's definitely a smart move by both Sony and From Software to plan more content for Bloodborne. Even though Bloodborne is a PlayStation 4 exclusive, it has managed to pull in enough sales to rival many other new gen only titles. Bloodborne also managed to exceed Sony's original expectations for the game, which is saying a lot because Sony were originally quite ambitious about Bloodborne.

For the time being though we'll have to make do with the current game and any minor patches that may be released periodically over time. Hopefully somebody from Sony or From Software will reveal more information about their plans for future Bloodborne content rather soon. I'm sure if you enjoy the game as much I have you'll be excited to hear any news about Bloodborne.

  • Upcoming Battlefield Hardline DLC Detailed

battlefield hardline dlcThe first Battlefield Hardline DLC has now been announced by Visceral Games and some of the content we can expect to find in the expansion has been detailed.

The first Battlefield Hardline DLC has been called Criminal Activity. As expected, Criminal Activity will come with four new maps. The expansion may include other content as well but at this point in time it has not be announced by Visceral Games or EA.

Two of the new Battlefield Hardline maps will be set at night, whilst the other two will be set at day. All four maps will be set in Florida and California so we can expect to be fighting in an urban environment. Personally I think urban maps are the best settings for Hardline, so it's great to see we’ll be getting some more city action soon.

Unfortunately no solid release date for Criminal Activity has yet been revealed. We do know that the next DLC pack for Battlefield Hardline, which is scheduled for release after Criminal Activity will be launching in the summer of 2015. This means that we should see Criminal Activity anywhere from now till the start of summer.

No pricing has been given for the Criminal Activity DLC as of yet but it will come as part of the season pass, so if you're a Battlefield Premium user you'll be able to pick up Criminal Activity for free. Premium members will also gain access to the DLC expansion two weeks before standard players.
