DICE has announced that they will be releasing the Heist mode into the upcoming Battlefield Hardline beta, but there is a catch. Players will need to work together as a community to unlock the Heist mode.
A new 'community mission' has been announced for Battlefield 4 players, and it asks players to accumulate a global total of 2 billion points in Battlefield 4's Rush mode. If players manage to reach this goal before the end of the month, then players will be rewarded with the Heist mode for Battlefield Hardline.
Whilst this seems like an odd move to get more people playing Battlefield 4 in anticipation for Hardline, I have a feeling that the 2 billion Rush points should easily be reached. In fact, I expect that the average amount of weekly Rush points is close enough to two billion anyway so players should not have to worry about getting the Heist mode unlocked for the Hardline beta.
If you do want to do your part, you can head into Battlefield 4 and play through any

It's always best to be a little skeptical at this time of the year. Around this time, we usually start to hear a thing or two about the next Call of Duty game, but across multiple development teams, it's easy for false information to start circulating.
With that being said, a current rumor spreading across the internet suggests that the next Call of Duty game will be a sequel to the original World at War. Before we get into the likelihood of such a thing happening or not, I just have to say that a world war game would be an incredibly refreshing change, and I'd absolutely love to see such a game reach the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
In reality though, we can't quite be sure if World at War will be the next Call of Duty game or not. The leak comes from a fairly unreputable source on Twitter. Despite this, it has caused quite a big stir up in the community, and the same leaker has posted similar 'Call of Duty leaks' in the past.
The trouble is that another insider

EA has just revealed a bunch of new bits of information about their upcoming game, Battlefield Hardline, including details about new maps, weapons and equipment.
Firstly, the two newly announced maps have been named as Bloodout and Hollywood Hills. As you can imagine, the latter of these two maps places players in a large Hollywood villa. Whilst the level is considerably smaller than some others, the large size of the villa will give players enough space to breathe in.
The other map, Bloodout, is a set of inner city streets based on real life Los Angeles. The difference between Battlefield Hardline's depiction of LA and the real life LA is that there is a lot more debris, wrecked cars and scrap in Battlefield, as can be expected.
In other news, Steve Papoutsis, Vice president of Visceral Games and Battlefield Hardline, revealed that there will be a total of 51 weapons and 38 gadgets in Battlefield Hardline. Considering players have access to primary and special weapons,

A new patch was planned to roll out for the Master Chief Collection last week but it has since been delayed. The patch had been mentioned to include some fixes to matchmaking whilst adding some general tweaks to multiplayer, campaigns and interfaces.
Whilst 343 Industries failed to mention why the patch was delayed, they have since confirmed that the release of the patch has been pushed back till later this January. According to 343, the patch should be up and ready to install within the "next few days."
It's a shame that after all this time, the Master chief Collection is still not working 100% as planned, but 343 are still working on it.
The patch notes for the upcoming patch rolling out later this week can be read below.
Matchmaking:
Improved matchmaking search success rates.
Made an update to reduce instances of "Awaiting Privileges" matchmaking errors.
Made an update to ensure player counts more reliably match the expected numbers for each -

Good news, everybody! At this years CES, Tony Hawk showed up at Sony's keynote to reveal some pretty exciting news. According to Hawk, there is a new project currently in development for the PlayStation 4 that Tony Hawk is getting involved with.
As you can guess, yes it will be a skateboarding game, but besides this obvious fact it’s unclear what we can expect. Further details were not given about the upcoming Tony Hawk skateboarding game for the PlayStation 4.
Earlier in 2014, Tony Hawk did mention that there was something "fans of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series will be hyped" about. Could this mean we may see a more traditional Tony Hawk Pro Skater game?
Hopefully this is the case - the last two Tony Hawk games used external skateboard peripherals, and as soon as this started, the Tony Hawk series went downhill, literally and figuratively.
If Tony Hawk moves back to a more button mashin' style approach for the PlayStation 4, I'm sure a lot of fans of the series

At long last, the PlanetSide 2 beta is finally making it's way to the PlayStation 4. Announced before the console was even released, PlanetSide 2 is a free to play FPS sci-fi shooter that features huge open world battles between three different player factions.
Each faction must work together to call out strategies in an attempt to take control of different areas of territory within the open world. As a player works towards capturing territory and defending faction outposts, experiences and credits will be rewarded.
Experience will go towards unlocking new items, whilst credits can be used to purchase the items. As you can imagine, there is a third currency that players can earn by spending real money on the game.
The in-game currency can be used to fast track players towards better equipment, but everything, besides cosmetic items, can be earned by simply playing the game. It does, however, take quite a long time to accumulate enough credits and experience to purchase

Ubisoft have just released more information on the first of many upcoming DLC releases planned for Assassin's Creed Unity. The DLC in question has been named Dead Kings, and it will feature a new story, new enemies and even a new weapon.
Dead Kings takes place right after the ending of Unity, following Arno as he leaves Paris for another city named Saint Denis. In this city, a series of underground crypts has been rumored to keep the bodies of dead French kings.
As you can imagine, the Dead Kings DLC will follow Arno as he makes his way down into the crypt. Arno will fight against other crypt raiders, as well as having access to an interestingly named Guillotine gun.
On top of the new single player story, there will be some new open world activities, including new murder mysteries, enigmas and a few co-op missions as well.
If you were unaware, the Dead Kings DLC has been put up for free by Ubisoft as an apology gift for the games terrible launch. On top of this,

So, the Elder Scrolls Online has been quietly chugging along on the PC for a year now, but the release of the console version of the game has been delayed to a point where nobody knows when it's going to come.
In fact, there was a point where some gamers believed Zenimax had completely abandoned the console port. Recently, it was revealed that Zenimax have still been working on the Xbox One and PS4 version of the Elder Scrolls Online, but they don't want to release it until they have reached a certain developmental milestone with the PC version.
We are surprisingly nearing closer to that point each and every day, and Zenimax have been rumored to be gearing up for a console launch fairly soon. This week, a Microsoft store listing appeared for the Elder Scrolls Online, along with a date which read as the 24th of February.
Shortly after this date was added to the website, the store listing was changed, and the release date is now listed as "2015."
It seems odd that

The months leading up to the Holiday season are always pretty hectic, but for major tech manufacturers like Microsoft, things get incredibly crazy. With the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 currently fighting for the top spot, Microsoft had a lot to do to manage to get an upper hand on Sony's new console.
One way Xbox managed to do this was by pushing for more deals and better bargains, and over the black Friday weekend, Microsoft managed to rake in a huge amount of sales thanks to their discounts around the globe, and this actually helped them to secure the most sold console units for that month.
It isn't going to stop at black Friday either - Microsoft have learned that good deals make sales, and in tune with this they have regularly been putting up discounts on their consoles, and most recently, their first party titles, and some selected third party games as well.
Firstly, digital copies of both Destiny and Call of Duty Advanced Warfare have been put up for just $19.99,

So a new gameplay trailer of Uncharted 4 was just released, and the internet has been taken aback by how amazing the game currently looks. Personally, I'm not all that surprised at the quality of the fourth Uncharted installment, and I'll tell you why.
Every time Naughty Dog have released a new game, their attention to detail has always been on point - they managed to release the Last of Us on the PS3 and make it look incredible, and every Uncharted release has always been miles ahead of every other game released in it's time in terms of graphical integrity.
This time round, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End certainly looks like the best game the PlayStation 4 will have to offer, and everything from the sweat on Drake's back, to the pores in his face are textured by hand, and it's just phenomenal how Naughty Dog continue to amaze with the quality of their games.
Something that really got me interested about the latest gameplay video was the amazing combat - it seems every
