It isn't often that you hear about AAA developers completely redesigning their games, but Guerrilla, the developers of Killzone Shadow Fall, seem to be gearing up to release a brand new patch to Shadow Fall that will completely change the direction of the game.
Once the new patch is released, players will be able to earn Valor instead of experience points - this Valor will count as a new kind of currency, and players will be able to spend their Valor on Mystery boxes that have a chance to open up random gear that would typically be award for completing challenges and missions.
On top of the new mystery boxes, players will also be able to complete daily challenges that will be updated every 24 hours. These new challenges will reward players with extra Valor.
Similarly to the daily challenges, a new daily login bonus will allow players who log in to the game regularly to earn extra rewards.
Whilst no definite date has been set for this interesting new multiplayer

Remember when the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were leading up to be released? A lot of talk in the industry revolved around screen resolution for launch titles, and fan boys fought over resolutions and frame rates like it actually mattered.
Unfortunately, both Microsoft and Sony weren't 100% honest about the frame rates and resolutions the launch games were going to offer, and it looks as if that little bit of bending the truth has landed Sony in a bit of trouble.
According to reports, one individual has just sued Sony for a total of $5 million after declaring that one of the PlayStation 4's launch titles, Killzone: Shadow Fall would support a native 1080P resolution.
Truthfully, the 1080P resolution in Killzone Shadow Fall isn't native at all. Whilst the single player did prove to be native 1080P, the multiplayer had a stretched resolution; the screen did display 1080 pixels high, but it only showed 960 pixels wide - the display was then stretched width ways to fit

No, I'm not kidding - Guerrilla Games have just released a brand new DLC pack that will allow players to fart on their fallen enemies. The new "Fun & Games Spotlight Pack" for Killzone Shadowfall was recently released for the PlayStation 4, and it comes with a wide range of benefits.
Along with being able to perform farts at will, players who purchase and download the Fun & Games Spotlight Pack for Killzone Shadowfall will also be able to perform other 'comedy actions' such as planking and strange humiliating moves that should help bring the rage out in your enemies.
The new actions have been called spotlight moves, and they can all be accessed by purchasing the $2 Fun & Games Spotlight DLC pack.
I've noticed a lot of gamers and critics seem to be a bit disappointed with the whole idea, but personally I see nothing wrong with it. Players do not have to spend a penny on these Spotlight moves, and unlike other DLC content out there, purchasing the Spotlight

A new patch for has just rolled out for Killzone Shadowfall on consoles this week, and it includes a bunch of changes to Guerrilla Game's PlayStation 4 exclusive title. The new 1.30 patch for Killzone Shadowfall adds a range of bug fixes and gameplay tweaks, as well as adding support for the new upcoming multiplayer maps.
One bug fix in patch 1.30 which I think a lot of players will be relieved to hear about is the spawn camera issue. This problem forced players to spawn in the opposite direction to the way the spawn camera was facing.
Guerrilla Games have also made it easier for players to understand what weapons players are able to unlock in Killzone Shadowfall patch 1.30, and players will also see much smoother game flow at the end of a round.
Killzone Shadowfall has failed to receive as large of a player base as games like Call of Duty or Halo, but despite this Guerrilla Games are putting in a lot of effort to provide players with an optimum online experience, new

Guerilla Games have gone down the Good Guy Game Developer route by deciding that they will still develop content for Killzone Shadow Fall after it's release, but instead of charging extra money for it, on top of the original game's cost, they have let players know that they will be releasing all of their DLC for free.
Whether or not this still counts as DLC is up for discussion, as it's most likely that the latest content update for Killzone Shadow Fall will be a compulsory download if players wish to play online.
However, instead of being a simple patch that fixes bugs and tweaks gameplay, it will add two new maps into the game, free of charge.
The first map has been called The Cruiser, and Guerrilla Games has described it as a "close to mid range combat map set in the confines of a decommissioned ISA cruiser."
The other map has been named The Hanger, and has been designed to be a much larger map. Guerilla described it as "a wide open map situated in the hangar

A new patch for Killzone: Shadow Fall has been released and it brings a bunch of new features and fixes, including the inclusion of a left handed control setup for any lefties out there finding it hard to play with the regular button layout. Guerrilla Games have also addressed a few other issues and made some changes to balancing in the game in both multiplayer and singleplayer. You can read the patch notes below:
- Several UI issues fixed
- Error messages in Multiplayer amended to have better indication of the error
- Edge-case crashes related to friends lists fixed
- Additional integrity fixes for the patching system
Guerrilla games have said that the patch should download and install automatically, but if you have problems with installing it, you'll receive an error message when trying to play in multiplayer. To fix the issue you'll need to reboot the PlayStation 4 to begin the installation progress. The new patch will also prevent errors

A new gameplay video by Guerrilla Games suggests that Killzone Shadow Fall combat system may end up being just a little bit more dynamic than most shooters. The video has been aptly named 'Killzone Shadow Fall 4 different ways to play' and gives us an in-depth look into the different gameplay mechanics that allow us to choose the way we approach each encounter in both campaign and against other players.
In most typical situations, you'll be able choose between dealing with a situation nice and quietly, or by charging head first into combat.
However, there is a little more depth to the system - There's no two strict paths to take, and you can always mix your play style up by incorporating both a stealthy approach and a gun's blazing tactic.
The 15 minute video goes into a lot more detail and describes the various environments you'll be able to play through, and Guerrilla games says that they are trying hard to make sure that there are always different ways to

The next generation of consoles is opening up opportunities for gamers to go digital and never put a disc in their PlayStation 4 or Xbox One again, but there is one very big problem that is getting in the way of a fully digital gaming experience.
This problem comes down to hard drive space, and new information from Killzone's Guerrilla Games proves this with hard evidence.
According to Guerrilla Games, the development team behind the next gen Killzone game, the Killzone Shadow Fall digital file size is a total of 39.7GB. Firstly, this is a huge amount of space as it is, and would take up close to 10% of the PlayStation 4's 500GB hard drive. Secondly, before Guerrilla Games worked on compressing the file content, the Killzone Shadow Fall digital file size was a massive 290GB.
In a few years' time once the new console generation matures a little, games will only get bigger and better, so it could

Last week a new gameplay video of Killzone Shadowfall's multiplayer was shown off and it looked spectacular. Besides the amazing graphics, the gameplay looked enjoyable and fast-paced and it was clear the developers of Shadowfall have taken inspiration from many different games to create what looks like a smooth and exciting experience.
The only problem that did seem to come to our minds was that the user interface and game information shown on screen may end up being too much for split-screen players or those playing on a small screen.
However, it has been revealed this week that Killzone Shadowfall will not even have any split-screen options. This is understandable as it looks as if the user interface just won't support smaller screens. At the same time though, it is a little disappointing because the PlayStation 4 clearly should have enough power to have a split screen mode working on a launch window game, and if it doesn't, it's unlikely we'll see much

Guerrilla Games has recently confirmed that you will be able to customize your own personal weapons in the upcoming Killzone: Shadow Fall. This will mark the reintroduction of weapon attachments to the Killzone series, and players will be able to add custom attachments to weapons like the Helghast StA-55 assault rifle and the StA-52 rifle.
Roy Postma, Killzone: Shadow Fall's art director has said a few things on the subject, and discussed the inclusion of an attachment system.
"It's still the same work horse of the Helghast, doing the same thing: a high fire rate with a big magazine in a nice, compact package. It's the perfect all-round weapon if you don't require high accuracy. So there are no new surprises on the weapon in terms of functionality. The biggest functional change, and one that is not limited to the StA-55, is the reintroduction of attachments. We can switch out various sights and optics, secondary weapon attachments, grips, flashlights, silencers – you
