So, you may have heard a few times now that the world size in Metal Gear Solid V will be large, but a new analysis of the released map photos suggests that The Phantom Pain might just have a world that is larger than that of Grand Theft Auto V.
In the new analysis by a NeoGAF user, screenshots of the in-game map shows off the size of the playable area, compared to the whole map size. Roughly speaking, the map in the Phantom Pain looks to be around 120 to 150 times the playable size of Ground zeroes, according to the NeoGAF user.
With this information, the user calculated that it would take roughly 3 minutes to drive from one side of the map to the other. Whilst it takes roughly double this to travel across GTA V, the map in question only shows off Africa. Afghanistan is another area in Metal Gear Solid V that has been confirmed, and should roughly be the same size of Africa.
Obviously a lot of the world in MGSV will be open desert land, so it won't feel engaging throughout

If you were affected by the PlayStation network outage over the holiday period, you may be able to claim a bit of a reward as an apology straight from Sony themselves.
Although the network problems over Christmas were caused by a hacker group, Sony has still responded with their apologies, and they are working to set up counter measures that will stop this sort of attack happening again in the near future.
To top it off, the FBI have confirmed that they are actively searching for the origins of the Lizard Squad hackers, so hopefully they will get what's coming to them.
As for the compensation, firstly all PS Plus members will receive a free five day extension to their current membership - this may not sound like a big deal as it's likely most players have already got their membership set up to recur each month. It is however a nice gesture from Sony, and the second part of the apology package will probably be a lot more appreciated.
For the entirety of January,

If you have been keeping your eyes on the newly announced PlayStation 4 anniversary console, then you will know that the product is pretty hard to come by. Whilst at first we thought that the console would go up for sale just like any other standard variant of the PS4, it seems that this is not the case.
In fact, many gamers have complained at the difficulty of trying to grab one of the new anniversary PlayStation 4's. Whilst there are odd deals such as PlayStation stores giving away PS4s for just £19.99 in London, the console itself cannot be officially purchased online from any retail store, and whilst Sony did put up an unannounced purchase page for the anniversary PlayStation 4, within minutes that page came crashing down, and it seems as if all copies have now been sold.
Let's admit it, the new PS4 anniversary console, does look really nice, and I'm sure a lot of gamers want to get a hold of it, as it's nostalgic design is a piece of many people's childhood.

It's always exciting to hear about what games Capcom are currently working, and it's especially exciting at a time like this when the new generation of consoles is desperately in need of new games.
Fortunately, according to reports Capcom is gearing up to announce a brand new PlayStation 4 game, and it should hopefully be something to dance about. Whilst we aren't sure about what game Capcom could possibly have up their sleeves just yet, Jun Takeuchi, Capcom company director recently mentioned in an interview with Famitsu that "PlayStation 4 development has been ongoing."
In response to this, Takeuchi also mentioned that it's taken a while for Capcom to get to grips with the new system. "SCE has made a really incredible system for us," Takeuchi said. "But the more I use the system the more it seems there is to uncover."
When asked about if Capcom had plans to release any PS4 games we do not yet know about, Takeuchi had a very positive response. "Of course. Right now

Thinking about splashing out some cash this Black Friday? If you are, you may want to keep your eye out on a brand new PlayStation 4 bundle that is currently being developed by Sony specifically for Black Friday.
Whilst it hasn't been confirmed by Sony yet, rumors suggest that the brand new PlayStation 4 bundle may be the biggest one yet, and it will include a range of different bundled additions on top of the console and single DualShock 4 controller that comes with the standard SKU.
According to the rumors, the Sony Black Friday bundle will come with three first party titles and the standard 500GB console and single DualShock 4 controller. The kicker here is that the price is expected to be "very competitive" compared to buying the console and three games separately.
On Black Friday, the bundle is undoubtedly expected to be available for cheap, but it will be interesting to if and what Sony will offer for it after Black Friday is up.
As for the three first

It's always great to hear about new records within the gaming industry, and today I have some news to share about Sony and their recent new PSN record. This week, Sony revealed that September 2014 had shown to be the biggest month for the PlayStation Network ever since it's debut on the PlayStation 3.
One of the biggest drivers of the success for the new PSN record was of course Destiny, a new game that has managed to stay on the top selling charts for a considerably long time. Firstly, Destiny has already sold PlayStation Network sales records for many different categories by itself, including most pre-orders, best week one sales and best day one sales.
When you factor in the huge hype for Destiny and the growing player base on the PlayStation 4, you end up with over 125 million hours worth of gameplay in just one month - this is exactly what happened in September 2014, and it is what made the PlayStation Network look very impressive this half.

DriveClub was under development for much longer than planned, but despite this, the launch was plagued with a variety of issues, mainly relating to the network performance, giving some players no chance of even downloading and playing the game.
Luckily, Evolution Studios have been working round the clock to ensure that the server performance is at it's best as quickly as possible.
There are still some server performance issues at the time of writing, but most of the launch lag has dissipated. Evolution Studios have managed to do a pretty good job at keeping things under control, especially considering the game debuted as a free title for PSN players, which probably drove the download count to thousands more than Evolution Studios initially anticipated.
Launch server issues are certainly not new, and even developers like Rockstar and Infinity Ward often have server performance problems on the new launch of a game, typically because the huge influx of players simply causes

We've talked a little bit in the past about large game install sizes, but today we have some crazy news to share with you. It has been rumored that Grand Theft Auto V for the PlayStation 4 could take exactly 50GB of storage space from your beloved PS4's hard drive.
That is a huge 10% of the default hard drive that comes with the PS4, and that is only for one game - this does not include any content patches or DLC that Rockstar may plan to release in the future.
50GB may not seem like much, but it's starting to reach the point where many games require between 30GB and 50GB free for install space, and over the next few years that size may keep going up.
For those with slow connections, this is a very large issue, and it makes paying for digital games almost impossible. It's great to see that Sony and Microsoft are now offering digital downloads for their games, but it is not a very viable option, considering that it would only take around 10 games to fill up an entire

Naughty Dog has just revealed a brand new screenshot which showcases Nathan Drake in their latest work-in-progress game, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
The new screenshot, which can be seen above, shows off a 3D render of the new Nathan Drake model, which Naughty Dog have been using in Uncharted 4. As you can see, the detail on Nathan is undeniably impressive. From the pores and wrinkles on his head, to the creases on his shirt, this picture shows that Uncharted 4 really is going to look amazing.
Naughty Dog recently addressed the public's voice and confirmed that the incredibly detailed E3 reveal trailer for Uncharted 4 earlier this year was in fact within the in-game engine, suggesting that the game is more than capable of rendering such high definition graphics.
The new image showcasing the Nathan Drake model has been used to promote a new 3D modelling event that is being hosted by a range of developers. The event will include a variety of different shows, including

The Ratchet and Clank franchise has been one that many Sony fans have loved ever since the PlayStation 2, and with recent news of a Ratchet and Clank animated movie, hype for the series has never been so high.
If you're a fan of Ratchet and Clank, then you'll probably be very excited to hear that it has been rumored that a Ratchet and Clank remake has been rumored to be in the works.
The new game, which will be a remake of the original game for the PlayStation 2, is rumored to be releasing alongside the same time as the movie launch, and it will be made available for the PlayStation 4.
As expected, the new remake is rumored to come with a new graphical overhaul, and some have even suggested that the game may end up looking very similar to the graphics seen in the Ratchet and Clank movie.
Whilst nothing has yet been officially confirmed, reports suggest that the new Ratchet and Clank remake will be revealed on a special PlayStation game event, which has been set
