  • Sony Makes Game Capture easy on the PS4

If you're looking to stream, record or capture your gameplay from the PlayStation 4, you will be happy to know that it'll be easier than ever on the PlayStation 4.

Previous concerns over whether you'd be able to use third party game capture equipment on the PlayStation 4 has been met with a positive answer from Sony, who have said third party game capture equipment will be possible through the HDMI out port on the console.

Sony has already included built-in capturing software on the PlayStation 4, but restrictions such as footage length make it inconvenient for people who regularly record and upload videos to the internet.

The PlayStation 4 will also be completely capable of streaming directly to Ustream and Twitch via software on the console, making streaming super easy to do without the need of third party equipment or a PC running in the background.

Streaming, recording and uploading your gameplay will be the easiest it has ever been on consoles this generation, so if you upload videos to YouTube or stream regularly, you're in luck with the PlayStation 4.

  • Battlefield 4 Tiered Loading and Weapon Customization Shown in Video

One of the new additions to Battlefield 4's multiplayer is of course the new weapon customization. Unlike in Battlefield 3, players will be able to add customizations straight onto existing weapons instead of having to unlock each variation of the weapon separately.

When compared to Battlefield 3's weapon customization, the new customization in BF4 shown in this video is much better by a long shot.

The video goes onto showing the easy ways to quickly customize weapons, and the large variety of different stocks, grips and other weapon accessories that can make a big impact on a player's play style.

The video also shows dozens of different unlockable camos that can be applied to primary and secondary weapons as well as any drivable vehicle in the game.

The video then ends with a developer showing the new tiered loading mechanic - a feature that should have been in first person shooters a long time ago.

The mechanic allows you to unload a clip, switch to a primary weapon, and then switch back and continue loading from where you left off.

In every other shooter, if you switch weapons, you will have to start the reloading animation again, even if you unload a clip beforehand.

Battlefield 4 will be out on October 29 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, and will release on the launch date for both Xbox One and PS4 - which is November 12 and November 29 for the PS4, and November 19 and November 22 for the Xbox One.

  • Valve Reveals Steam Controllers

Valve has been very busy this week revealing SteamOS, a Linux based operating system. Then Steam Machines being manufactured by PC companies and finally, earlier today, have unveiled their Steam Controller.

The controller is designed to work on computers for Steam games. Check out the official Steam Controller below:

Of course we wouldn't be Evil if we weren't already brainstorming features and customization options for Custom Steam Controllers until the official release of Valve's hardware. If our fans are interested we'd love to modify and customize Steam Controllers.

    See our Steam Controllers below:

  • GTA Online - 32 or 16 Players?

A bit of confusion has hit the internet this week. Dozens of video games websites have reported that GTA Online may have 32 player support instead of the previously announced 16 players, thanks to the help of a bunch of friendly hackers who sifted through GTA V's code to find information on a 32 player cap for online play.

The bad news is that Rockstar has dismissed this as just a rumor, and have then confirmed on twitter that the cap will be only 16 players.

@RockstarGames said "Not sure where that rumor came from but GTA Online will support 16 players."

This leaves open the possibilities for 32 player game modes outside of GTA Online that players may have to queue up to join through virtual lobbies. Perhaps we will see 32 player deathmatches or something similar. This is of course just speculation and does go against what Rockstar have already stated.

Other news that has circulated due to players messing around with GTA V's files includes PS4 and PC framework code, so perhaps Rockstar plan on releasing the game for both next gen consoles and the PC in the future.

  • Dead Rising 3 New Weapons System Announced

The Dead Rising series has always been about killing zombies by getting all sorts of trash lying about the world and turning them into crazy weapons you'd never expect to think about using in real life, and Dead Rising 3 seeks to continue on with the Dead Rising crazy weapons legacy.

Microsoft has revealed a new feature in Dead Rising 3 that will take weapon crafting, zombie smashing and pretty much anything else to do with your survival to the next level.

Microsoft wrote the following: a new tier of Combo Weapons that requires at least three components (and oftentimes multiple steps and blueprints) to craft, and features unique abilities that let you decimate crowds of zombies with devastating effect. Examples include the Ultimate Powershout, a deadly concussive horn made of traffic cones; the Ultimate Grim Reaper, a flaming scythe made of a katana sword, a scythe, a gas canister and a mask; and the Massive Bomb, a mini-nuke that obliterates every zombie in your vicinity - along with your clothes.

Dead Rising 3 will also include a drop in/drop out co-op system that will allow players to quickly join their friends and have a zombie bashing party and then leave whenever they feel they've had enough. This will be the first time we've seen a co-op type system in the Dead Rising series and I'm sure the developers will make good use of it.

Players that join another players game will be able to keep XP, and they will be able to skip missions they've completed outside of their own game.

Dead Rising 3 is an Xbox One exclusive.

  • Capcom's Deep Down Will be Free to Play

Capcom has revealed this week that their next gen graphically impressive title, Deep Down will be available on the PlayStation 4 as a free to play game.

This information was revealed at this year's Tokyo Game Show and Shuhei Yoshida, Sony Worldwide Studios President, has announced on Twitter that an open beta for the game will be available close to the launch of the console in Japan, which is in February next year.

Yoshida didn't mention whether the beta would be exclusive to Japan, but it sounds as if it will be available worldwide. Deep Down is a next gen action game that produces randomly generated dungeons for players to fight through.

The game is based off of a medieval-like fantasy world where warriors called Ravens travel back to the dark days to fight their way to fortune.

Not much has been given about the game yet and Capcom have barely shown any gameplay content to the public as of this point so it's incredibly difficult to work out what kind of game it will be, although many are comparing it to other fighting/action games with dark, mysterious plot lines like Dark Souls.

  • GTA V $25k Infinite Money Glitch

A glitch has been found in Grand Theft Auto V that can potentially award the player with an infinite supply of cash. Players will be able to find briefcases of money hidden around the world which carry cash varying between 10 thousand and 25 thousand dollars and can pick them up to receive the money inside.

However, the glitch can allow the player to repeatedly collect the money from the suitcase over and over again, and surprisingly, the glitch is incredibly easy to do. This glitch can be done with any suitcase found within the world, but the largest amount of money found in a suitcase so far is the $25 thousand case, so it's much quicker to do the glitch with this case instead of others.

The hardest part of this glitch is actually finding the suitcase of money in the first place- the $25k suitcase can be found underwater directly on this spot:

You will be able to get there on a jet ski, boat or a submarine, and you'll know you're in the right area because the suitcase is found on top of a wrecked ship underwater.

To receive the money, simply dive into the water in the right place and swim into the suitcase. Once you are done, hover over where the suitcase was and switch to another character. Quickly switch back to the character underwater and you'll be able to pick up the suitcase again and grab the $25k reward. You can do this infinitely.

  • Grand Theft Auto iFruit App Changes Things in Game

Rockstar has released an app into the iTunes app store that goes alongside the main Grand Theft Auto 5 game. You will be able to use the iFruit app to look at news about the game, check in with social club once it's available in October, and also use interactive features to change happenings in the main game.

Firstly you'll be able to look after Chop, a dog in the game owned by one of Franklin's friends. You'll be able to teach him tricks, pet him, feed him and look after his wellbeing. This will change the way Chop acts in the main game.

Secondly, you'll be able to customize and purchase vehicles from within iFruit. You'll be able to add the same level of customization to your own vehicles as you can in the main game, and once you next play the game, the newly changed vehicle will be ready for you in your garage.

Currently this app is only available for iPhone and iPad in the iTunes store, but Rockstar plan to release Android, PS Vita, and Windows Phone versions in the near future.

On top of this, Rockstar plan on making another companion app that will allow users to find out more about the game, learn new things and interact with a fully 3D render of the map straight from your smartphone or portable device. No news has been given on when this will be released.

  • Sony Gives Information on Brand New VitaTV

Sony has pushed through with its Vita branding and it has managed to make success out of a seemingly dead market. To improve the Vita name even more, Sony has pushed once again, and this time they have come out with something called the VitaTV.

The VitaTV is a streaming box that will be able to be purchased for just $100. However unlike other streaming boxes, it will allow owners to connect it to their TV and play PS Vita games, PS One Classics and PSP games on the big TV with a standard Dualshock 3 controller.

Amazingly you'll also be able to stream content straight from the PlayStation 4 as well. This will open up new routes for the PlayStation 4. For example, you could play split screen games across the house on multiple displays but with just one PS4 console, or easily play your PS4 games in any room in the house without having to move the console.

We'll most likely hear more about the VitaTV at TGS, and hopefully hear about a release date and whether we'll be able to get hold of the device in the near future.

Another thing to consider is that seeing as TGS is a game show in Japan, there may be a chance that we don't see the device hit North America or Europe. Hopefully though, Sony will distribute it worldwide.
