  • Diablo 3 is Coming to Xbox One

diablo 3Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 3 will be coming to the Xbox One, amidst concerns that the game has not given a proper introduction to players using Xbox consoles. Lead producer for Diablo 3, Alex Mayberry stated in an interview with VideoGamer that, "I don't know where we are with Microsoft right now so I can't really comment on what that contract looks like. The point is we are developing for Xbox One and PS4 simultaneously. We hit those major platforms and then our goal as a development team is to make them run."

"We have that pipeline worked out, and then Blizzard and Microsoft can work out whatever they work out."

Many fans have been interested in a Diablo 3 for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, especially seeing as the first expansion pack for the title, Reaper of Souls, was released earlier this week for PC and Mac.

Blizzard has also confirmed that there will be a bundle pack for the PlayStation 4 which will be named the Ultimate Evil Edition - this bundle will come with Diablo 3 and the Reaper of Souls expansion. It's possible that there could be an Xbox One version of this bundle pack in the works too.

For now though, players will have to put up with playing the latest expansion on a PC or Mac if they are eager to play it as soon as possible. The PlayStation 4 won't be too long away though, either.

  • New Assassin's Creed Unity Game Officially Announced

assassins creed unityIt's been pretty clear at this point that Ubisoft is eager to keep pushing out new Assassin's Creed games each year, however there hasn't been that much information on the next entry in the series. The last game, Assassins' Creed Black Flag saw a breath of fresh air into the series, and I'm hoping that the next game manages to be unique and original enough to keep things enjoyable.

This week, after an image was leaked Ubisoft have confirmed that the next title for the Assassins' Creed series will be called Assassins' Creed: Unity.

So far, not much is really know about the next upcoming game in the series, however it's likely that the title will be directed at current gen consoles, whilst the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 will get a different title instead.

In a press release, Ubisoft stated that they have actually been working on the upcoming Assassin's' Creed game for more than three years. "We have been working on the new Assassin's Creed for more than three years and although we weren't quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand."

The new Assassins' Creed game will have a new protagonist, and it could possibly be held in Paris. The game will come with an improvement in graphics and will most probably be out over the holiday season in Q4, in time for Christmas.

  • EA Already Secured Rights for Titanfall 2

titanfallTitanfall is a great game, and it has already captivated me for many hours over the weekend. However, there are always areas to improve upon, and it looks like EA and Respawn plan to do this at some point in the future.

EA has already secured rights for a sequel in the Titanfall franchise, which means Respawn Entertainment may be getting ideas for Titanfall 2 already. Titanfall did manage to sell around 700,000 copies in it's first week, but whether or not you'd consider these numbers good for a console exclusive, there's no denying that there was a lot of hype for Titanfall, and that alone should be enough for EA and Respawn Entertainment to consider creating a second Titanfall.

We've already suggested that a second Titanfall would come, and hopefully it will improve upon the few things the current game seems to be missing. This includes more weapon availability, new game modes, and include customizations for weapons and pilot appearance. I think it'd be great to be able to unlock gun camos or other cosmetic gear whilst leveling, and it'd certainly add an extra incentive to keep playing.

EA are also keen on the idea of making Titanfall 2 a multi-platform title. This will mean the next Titanfall game should be available on the PlayStation 4, as well as the PC and the Xbox One.

At this point in time though, i'd say we focus on the first Titanfall and it's upcoming planned DLC. It could be possible that this DLC will include more game modes as well as extra maps and other content.

  • Massive COD Ghosts Ban wave Will Not Be Reversed

    cod ghosts banwave

Dozens of players are reporting that they have just been banned from playing Call of Duty Ghosts in what looks to be the biggest ban wave the game has ever seen.

When connecting to servers for the first time after loading the game, banned players will be notified that they have been permanently banned due to a violation in the security and enforcement policy.

The ban wave seems to have mainly targeted both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 3, but the main reason for why players have been banned seems to be unclear. Whether or not it's related to cheating or using unfair exploits has not yet been revealed by Activision, but it seems some players are stating they have played legitimately and have been caught up in the whole commotion.

Some players seem to believe that they have unknowingly entered a hacked lobby and then backed out to avoid getting caught up with cheaters. Unfortunately this is something that players cannot avoid, as they are directed to the lobbies via the in-game matchmaking mechanic. If this is true, Activision will most likely work on fixing those that have been banned unfairly. The trouble is, most real cheaters will probably not admit that they have cheated, and it may end up with thousands of players complaining about being banned, even if a large portion of banned players did deserve it.

If you got banned unfairly, expect quite a long waiting time before you get unbanned, however some players are already getting unbanned at the time of writing.

  • DriveClub Devs went back to the Drawing Board

    driveclub developers

If you're wondering where the hell DriveClub has been, don't worry, it's been delayed for good reason. Sony has revealed that the developers currently working on DriveClub have gone back to the drawing board, in an attempt to ensure that the game is of it's best quality upon it's release.

Despite being planned as a launch title game, it has already been delayed once to early 2014, but seeing as we're already close to Q2 2014, it looks as if DriveClub has been delayed once more.

So far, no release date has been given, but previous rumors did suggest that the game would be ready for September. It's a shame to have to wait so long for such an anticipated title, but it really is for the best. So many AAA games are being released before they are fully ready, and it ruins the overall experience of the game.

If the developers that are working on DriveClub need extra time to refine the title to make sure the game plays and feels smooth, then so be it. We as gamers should learn to be patient, because the more time a developer is given on a title, the better that title will be when it is finally released.

For now, no real release window is concrete, but we'll keep you updated as more news comes in about DriveClub, including any gameplay content and release information.

  • New FIFA 14 Update Available for Xbox One

fifa 14 bug fix xbox oneEA has just rolled out a new update for FIFA 14 on the Xbox One that has been designed to fix a few issues and bugs currently present in the game.

In a statement on their forums, EA has said that "Our commitment to improve FIFA 14 is ongoing, and regular feedback from our fans helps us prioritize and identify future improvements."

"Thanks for your feedback on Twitter, Facebook and the EA forums. We'll continue to provide you with information through those channels as and when it becomes available."

The bugs and issues that the new update has fixed includes the problem where players are capable of avoiding losing games against other players by disconnecting from FIFA Ultimate Team matches. This fix was already applied to the PlayStation 4 version in February, so it's good to finally see the update hit the Xbox One.

In the same update, EA revealed that their next title, 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will launch exclusively to Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 15th. The reasoning behind not releasing to the next gen consoles is to save time and resources by avoiding cross-platform development, and reach out to as many players as possible.

For those that sold their old gen console for a new Xbox One or PS4, EA has assured players that there will be plenty of content within FIFA Ultimate Team to make up for the lack of a new title on either new gen console.

  • Hideo Kojima Explains Reason for Ground Zeroes, Announces new Second Screen App

    phantom pain idroid app

Some people have been confused as to why the developers behind the Metal Gear Solid franchise have split Metal Gear Solid V into two separate titles, but Hideo Kojima has created a video to help gamers understand why, as well as to reveal the new second screen application that will work alongside the Phantom Pain.

In simplicity, the Phantom Pain is not yet complete, but Kojima wants players to experience a taste of what's to come in the game, and to do this, they have decided to go for a second title, Ground Zeroes, to act as a prologue.

Metal Gear Solid V is taking a huge leap from it's routes, and a lot of new gameplay mechanics are being opened up. Ground Zeroes will give players a small taste of what to expect in terms of gameplay content, but it will also give a bit of background history behind the characters and world of MGS, which will be perfect for players who aren't accustomed to the story of Metal Gear Solid.

The story for MGS has always been quite complex, so personally I think that it's a good way to get players into the series. Of course, Ground Zeroes is not necessary to purchase, and gamers could wait for the Phantom Pain instead.

In the video Hideo Kojima goes on to explaining the new app that will be paired with the Phantom Pain. This app will allow players to use their smartphone or tablet to access the in-game menus and interfaces. This means that the open world will continue to breathe on whilst players are nose deep in their inventory.
