  • Next Rockstar Game Rumored to Be Red Dead Redemption 2

    red dead redemption 2

Obviously the latest game for Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto 5, is still getting love and attention from the development team. With that being said, Rockstar do have plans for the future and if a new rumor is to be true, the next future plan for Rockstar could be Red Dead Redemption 2.

A second Red Dead Redemption has been wanted by fans for a long, long time now and despite Rockstar's reluctance to confirm it, we really doubt Rockstar wouldn't develop a sequel to the original game. We believe a Red Dead Redemption 2 could sell just as well as a new Grand Theft Auto Game.

Okay, maybe not that well, but RDR 2 would definitely be insanely popular. So what's with this new rumor? A Rockstar employee has made his way onto Reddit to mention that Rockstar is working on a sequel to the original Red Dead Redemption.

Well, the Rockstar employee didn't directly announce a Red Dead Redemption 2, but a cryptic comment seemed to suggest it. In the comment, the Rockstar employee replied to a question about what Rockstar had in store next. The reply was, "Really? Dumbass. Really? Two."

If you take the initials of each of those words it spells out RDR Two - Coincidence? Whilst it seems a little over the top to assume this means a Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming based off of this one comment, it would seem a bit unnecessary to use the word dumbass, unless it had a secondary meaning. And let's be honest, what other games by Rockstar currently deserve a second sequel?

  • Rainbow Six Siege Launches with 10 Maps, 20 Operators

    rainbow six siege launches

Rainbow Six Siege has finally come out of open beta and has launched officially on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The new Rainbow Six title focuses on online multiplayer gameplay and includes a number of different operators that players can unlock and choose between.

During the betas, the amount of operators and maps available was limited. Now that Rainbow Six Siege has reached full release, we can talk about all of the operators and maps that are available at launch.

It has been revealed the Ubisoft has loaded Rainbow Six Siege with 20 operators and 10 different maps at launch. All of the operators have been seen in previous betas, although this is the first time they've all been unlockable together. There are a lot of maps in this beta that have never been seen before.

On top of the launch content, Ubisoft has listed their dedication to supporting Rainbow Six Siege after launch. Interestingly, a large team of 80 developers will be working on post launch content for Siege to ensure that the game has a long life span. During the first year of post launch content, we'll see eight new operators, four new maps and new primary and secondary weapons. New game modes and cosmetic items are also planned for post launch content.

Rainbow Six Siege does have a season pass but the operators, and most likely the maps, will be available for free. When it concerns the operators, each new OP will cost 25,000 renown or a certain amount of R6 credits, which is a microtransaction system in Siege.

  • There is a Star Wars Battlefront Invincibility Glitch

    Star Wars Battlefront Invincibility

Right now an increasing number of reports from players are coming in that suggests there is a glitch in Star Wars Battlefront that grants players invincibility. So far there doesn't seem to be any clear, reproducible steps to use the invincibility glitch, but it seems to involve a method used to commit suicide in a match.

One possible method to perform this glitch requires a player to spawn a vehicle under another vehicle - this will push the newly spawned vehicle under the ground. In most cases it seems like players are instantly killed when trying to reproduce the glitch but at times players manage to trick the game into thinking they are dead but they are still alive.

In this case, players are able to attack enemies but they can't take damage, essentially making them invincible till the end of the match. DICE has not yet released a statement about the cheat but we doubt they will ban players for using it considering that it is a glitch.

The glitch has been in the game since the launch so hopefully DICE can fix it soon. If you feel like using the glitch yourself, there are plenty of tutorials online, although none of them report an easy-to-reproduce method. It seems like no matter what method you try, you'll have to give it multiple tries before it finally works.

Would you ever consider using a glitch like this online against other players?

  • More Street Fighter V DLC Characters Will Come

    street fighter v dlc

Even though Capcom hasn't announced the first DLC characters in 2016 yet, they have already confirmed that there will be more DLC characters released after the first wave.

In a recent interview, Capcom's brand director Matt Dahlgren mentioned that Street Fighter V will have a second wave of new characters. Capcom seems to have a strong long-term plan for SFV that could involve a lot of DLC content. This DLC plan could include a new Street Fighter V character every two months after launch if everything goes smoothly.

Dahlgren stated that "We don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves." Dahlgren continued by stating that they think they're" going to watch how things progress."

"We do have very ambitious plans for Street Fighter 5 and a very long term strategy. We'd like to continue as long as we can, but we'll have to see how the product does," Dahlgren continued.

On top of the paid extra content, Capcom will also be giving Street Fighter V a lot of free support. This support will come in the form of free content patches, constant balancing and gameplay tweaks where necessary and further long-term online support.

In the past Capcom has released many new titles instead of focusing on one game as a single platform but this time round Capcom seem to be dedicated to turning Street Fighter V into their main focus for the franchise.

Street Fighter V will be released on February 16, 2016 for PC and PlayStation 4.

  • Halo 5 Guardians Sells 1.46M in First Week

    halo 5 guardians sales

It should come as no surprise that Halo is one of the biggest selling franchises on the Xbox. Since the release of Halo 5: Guardians on the Xbox One, a lot of people have been wondering exactly how many sales the game has managed to make.

Now that data is slowly coming in about sales around the world, fairly accurate information on Halo 5's week one sales are being announced. According to VGChartz, a website dedicated to reporting video game sales, Halo 5: Guardians managed to sell approximately 1.46 million copies in its first week.

The exact first week number, according to VGChartz is 1,457,849 copies, although this does not include digital sales, so we could be looking at over 2 million copies at least.

For an Xbox One exclusive title, 1.46 million isn't bad at all, but it is quite small in comparison to previous Halo releases. In fact, Halo 5 Guardians sold less copies than almost every other Halo release. Here's a week one sales rundown of the last eight Halo games.

    + Halo 3 (X360) - 3.81 million

    + Halo: Reach (X360) - 3.70 million

    + Halo 4 (X360) - 3.66 million

    + Halo 3: ODST (X360) - 2.21 million

    + Halo 5: Guardians (XOne) - 1.46 million

+ Halo: The Master Chief Collection (XOne) - 0.90 million

    + Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (X360) - 0.73 million

    + Halo Wars (X360) - 0.60 million

We can't wait to find out how much the digital sales could impact the total week one sales number of Halo 5. Perhaps the total sales number could be a lot closer to the 3.81 million record that Halo 3 reached in its first week.

  • Burnout Revenge Won't Have Backwards Compatibility

    burnout revenge xbox one

The backwards compatibility feature for the Xbox One has brought a lot of joy to many gamers around the world. A huge library of Xbox 360 games are already compatible with the new feature and more games are constantly being added to the compatibility list.

Some games unfortunately cannot be backwards compatible and in most cases this usually comes down to a developer's decision instead of a choice made by Microsoft.

Take Criterion's Burnout Revenge for example - This title was firstly released as an Xbox original game but it also received a release on the Xbox 360. Despite it being available on the 360, Criterion has spoken out stating that backwards compatibility support for this title was very unlikely.

When asked on Twitter about the possibility of Burnout Revenge's backwards compatibility support, Criterion Games simply stated that there were 'No plans for that right now.'

Whilst Burnout Revenge is being adapted for the Xbox One, Criterion has already confirmed in the past that Burnout Paradise should eventually be made compatible for Microsoft's latest console.

Burnout was one of the best racing titles for the original Xbox and a few of the releases made their way onto the Xbox 360 as well. It's a shame that Criterion did not have any plans for bringing some of the classic Burnout games to the Xbox One instead of the open world Burnout Paradise, which received mixed reviews.

Since Burnout Paradise, Criterion has worked on other games, including a Need for Speed title.

    rainbow six open beta

Rainbow Six Siege will be the latest game in the world renowned Tom Clancy series and it will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC in December. Many players have already had a chance to test out Rainbow Six Siege via various closed beta events that have taken place throughout 2015 and now Ubisoft are gearing up to launch an open beta event.

The open beta for Rainbow Six Siege will be available from November 25 and will remain live for one week. During this time Ubisoft are planning to stress test the servers to ensure they'll be optimized for the full release of the game in December.

If you're interested in playing Rainbow Six Siege you can preload the open beta right now from the PlayStation store or from the Xbox Games Store. The beta sits at roughly 9GB in size so the sooner you start downloading the sooner you'll be able to play the game.

  • New DLC Coming to Halo 5 in December

    halo 5 dlc december

Halo 5: Guardians has already had one of it's new free DLC packs released but 343 Industries now has more content in store for the game. In December, 343 Industries will release another free DLC pack with extra content.

In the new December DLC for Halo 5, players will have the chance to unlock new armor, new weapon types for Warzone, new weapon skins and of course the new Forge mode.

When Halo 5: Guardians was released, players were not given access to Forge mode because 343 Industries still had some tweaks to make to it. In December the covers will be unveiled and the new Forge mode will finally be available to players. It looks as if players will get access to a Forge world they will feel familiar with but there may also be a space themed Forge map too.

If you have played Halo 5 you will know that the rocket launcher's appearance has been completely redesigned. Fortunately players will have the chance to use the old school rocket launcher after the December update has launched. There are rumors that the Halo Combat Evolved Pistol may be released as a REQ card for use in Warzone.

There's definitely a lot to get excited about for December and most importantly all of the new content will be released for free.

343 Industries hasn't released details about all of the content that will be in the December update yet so there could be plenty of currently unannounced features planned for December as well.
