Digital Pre-orders for Evolve Will Reward Players Free Content
If you pre-order the digital version of Evolve on the Xbox One, you will be given free access to the open beta that is going to take place on January 15th. This beta will included one monster named Wraith, and four hunters, named Parnell, Abe, Caira and Cabot.
As well as having a little sneaky access to this content in the beta version of Evolve, players who pre-order the digital version of the game for Xbox One will also be given the same five characters at launch for free, straight from day one.
Those who do not pre-order Evolve, or who play on another platform, will need to unlock the aforementioned characters to be able to play as them.
This seems like a nice deal for those who want to support the game by pre-ordering, but it oddly is only available for digital pre-orders. If you have already pre-ordered a physical copy then you will not be given early access to the five hunters and the one monster once the game has launched later this year.
Do you think it's smart for Microsoft to offer a deal such as this, or do you think they should open up the pre-order bonuses to all versions and platforms of Evolve?
