Sony Denies Any Unveiling of the Playstation 4 at E3
Sorry, No PS4 at E3 This Year
Despite all the predictions and speculations, Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Corporation have come out and denied that the Playstation 4 will be unveiled at at this year's E3 in June. According to SCE's Andrew House (found here at this article on Kotaku) stated the following:
"I don't think we're contemplating talking about anything to do with future console iterations at this point."
Sony's Kaz Hirai followed up with a similar statement:
"Andy (House) is absolutely right in that we are not making any announcements at E3. I've always said a 10-year life cycle for PS3, and there is no reason to go away from that."
You would think that after Nintendo's Wii U unveiling at E3 2011, the other consoles will follow suit. With Sony denying the Playstation 4 from being revealed, it is expected that Microsoft's follow-up to the Xbox 360 could be revealed next. Though it would be great if Microsoft and Sony did unveil their next consoles in a head to head match at an E3 event, but I guess that will have to wait for another time.
