Map Content for the Next Gears of War 3 DLC Has Been Revealed
On March 27th, get ready to get back in the fight as Gears of War 3 is releasing it's fifth downloadable content pack. Included in this will be five maps, three of them new and two of them being remakes. The three maps will be called "Aftermath", "Artillery", and "Cove", while the two remakes will be Jacinto and Raven Down. Epic's Next Unreal Engine to be Shown to Private Audiences at the Upcoming Game Developers Conference
As you know, the Unreal Engine 3 is one of today's most prolific pieces of technology in the gaming world. It powers everything from Mortal Kombat and Asura's Wrath to Gears of War 3 to even Batman: Arkham City. If you're one of the few developers that uses Epic's engine, the upcoming 2012 Game Developers Conference will have a private viewing of the next generation of Unreal Engines in action. As for us in the general public, we will have to wait a bit.

Famous Comedian/Actor Chris Rock Could Have Been Naughty Dog's Lovably Annoying Sidekick
So back in the year 2000, comedian and actor Chris Rock was at the height of his career and Sony was the leading force in the video game industry. Sony and Naughty Dog were betting on the success of "Jak and Daxter."

WB Announces a DLC-Loaded Version of Mortal Kombat
According to QTE Gamers, on March 2nd, Warner Bros. will be releasing a version of Mortal Kombat containing all of its DLC content. The DLC content includes four characters (five for PS3) which include Rain, Skarlet, Kenshi, and Freddy Kruger (with Kratos for PS3 owners). So you might want to get your Evil D-Pad controller ready when this title hits the shelves in March.

Gamers From the Sooner State Avoid an Unnecessary Tax Raise on Video Games
On February 20th, 2012, Oklahoma House Bill 2696 was defeated in the House Revenue and Tax Subcommittee. This legislation would have placed a 1% excise tax on the sale of all "violent" video games. When asked to withdraw his tax proposal from submission, Democratic Representative Will Fourkiller attempted to create a task force on linking obesity and aggression to video games. This proposal for the "Oklahoma Task Force on Video Games' Relationship to Obesity and Aggression" failed to come to fruition as well.

Rovio and South Korea's National Police Agency Team Up To Fight School Violence
On February 21, the Korean National Police Agency and Rovio Entertainment came together and announced the use of the Angry Birds franchise as a method to campaign against school violence in South Korea, a growing problem in the country.
