There was a certain trend for many top publishers last year - the likes of Activision and EA seem to be pushing their developers to the limits by trying to release games as quickly as possible to reduce any possible competition in the market and ensure that games like Call of Duty or Battlefield are bringing in nice, fluid streams of revenue.
The problem with this is that on our end of the stick, we're often handed a mangled, chewed up representation of what the developers originally had envisioned. Both Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty Ghosts had their issues at launch, and DICE and EA are still going through the problems with Battlefield 4 today.
This makes the average gamer feel a little cheated on, really, and at least for me personally, I hope that this kind of tactic changes.
One game that I'd happily wait for is Watch Dogs, and despite it's delay, I'm still excited as ever for the release of the game.

Despite being on the Microsoft side of the fence with the popular Halo franchise, Sony has managed to bag a deal with Bungie to bring PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 gamers entrance into the Destiny beta a little while before players on either the Xbox One or the Xbox 360.
Bungie have been pretty vague on the beta access for Destiny, and at first there was not any mention of any early access to the game. However, a little while after pre-orders were opened up for all four consoles the game is supported on, Bungie announced that pre-orders would give players access into the beta that will be available early next year.
Following on from that, it looks as if Bungie are being even more vague and have announced that there will be a disparity between the launch date for the beta on Sony consoles and the launch date on Microsoft consoles.
At this moment in time, details on how much longer Microsoft gamers will have to wait over PlayStation gamers haven't been given. Beta keys

Usually a game of the year edition ends up being something special for those players who've decided to wait a while to get their hands on a game. Take the Oblivion game-of-the-year for example; after releasing the game and bringing out a huge amount of DLC for the title, bundling it up into one easily playable package that was somewhat cheaper than buying it all separately was a great idea both for Bethesda and the players.
However, in the case of Black Ops 2, it'd take a bit more than just DLC to make it special seeing as the only DLC at the moment is Revolution. But, as it turns out, all that is actually coming in the GOTY edition of Black Ops 2 is the game and the one DLC. What's more is the price is at $60. This seems a little odd when you can get your hand on the game for around $40, and then buy the $15 DLC pack separately, saving yourself a much needed 5 dollars.
To make it more enticing, Activision could have added the season pass to the bundle, but without

Black Ops 2 Leaks
It seems none of the big shooters this year can escape the horde of leaked gameplay and pre-release day copies getting into the hands of a few sneaky players, and following from the huge surge of leaked gameplay of Halo 4 after thousands of players with JTAG'ed Xboxes got their hands on a digital copy of the game, players have now uploaded tons of footage of Black Ops 2 for the whole world to see.
Although no one is quite sure how widespread the pre-release day copies have reached, a few websites have stated that most leaked content has come from Slovakia. Players have uploaded images and gameplay of the menus and features in-game.

Rumor Mill: Modern Warfare 4
There's been a Call of Duty game practically every year thanks to Treyarch and Infinity Ward, and because of the franchise's huge success, it's likely that there will continue to be a new Call of Duty release every year for quite a few years to come. It seems strange to be talking about Infinity Ward's next Call of Duty when Treyarch's Black Ops 2 isn't even on sale yet, but if there is to be a COD game next year, now would seem a likely time for Treyarch to start calling out to more talent for the development of the game, such as voice actors or sound testers.
According to Bill Murray, a voice actor for the hugely

All you FPS fans out there are getting extra lucky with this year's lineup; with Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 set for release over the upcoming months we've already got hours of gameplay available at our hands. But for any of you still not satisfied, Warfighter, the new Medal of Honor game will be set to release very soon!

Treyarch is pretty much done revealing both their single player and multiplayer modes. Now we just have to wait for the reveal of their final mode which has gotten as popular as the multiplayer mode, yes I am talking about the Zombies mode.
The Zombies mode started out very simple in World at War and in Black Ops it got a major overhaul. Tryarch hasn't been shy about telling us what to expect from the Zombies mode in Black Ops 2, without letting us know too much that is. Based on what they have revealed, the improvement we are expecting to see in Black Ops 2 is HUGE.
On the 25th of August a very simple tweet was posted on the official Black Ops 2 Twitter page which quite clearly hints at the upcoming reveal. This is what it read, "Something's coming...". The tweet was posted along with the picture of a door stained with a bloody handprint. I guess this is a subtle enough hint towards the imminent full reveal of the Zombies mode in Black Ops 2.

The new 10 point system Create-a-Class in Black Ops 2 has created a lot of buzz purely because it is such a big game changer. This is the first and biggest change made to the Create-a-Class system that the franchise has seen since COD4.
You guys might have heard about the Wildcard system that works along with Create-a-Class system but only recently more details were provided about that. As you can already guess, the Wildcard system is also a brand new addition to COD franchise.
Players spend the 10 points allotted to them when creating their class. Everything you select costs 1 point, ranging from perks to attachments for your weapons. What this system allowed developers to do was to balance the game according to each individual item instead of balancing each weapon mod for example.
As before, each weapon can only support a max of two attachments. Here is where one of the Wildcards come into play. The Wildcard called Primary Gunfighter allows players to equip an extra

EA has made their marketing strategy clear. They want to beat the reigning champ, Call of Duty, or at least take a chunk out of its market share. Every first person shooter wants to be CoD and who can blame them? The money CoD rakes in every year is unbelievable.
Interestingly enough, this time EA is sticking to The Danger Close team making Medal of Honor Warfighter as grounded and real as possible in hope that it would attract the gamers. They believe that gamers who are looking for the authentic feel of a modern battlefield might prefer Warfighter over Black Ops 2. They have based this assumption on the fact that Treyarch has taken a very futuristic approach with BO2 which might not be well received by gamers. Some diehard CoD fans have actually voiced out their concerns regarding this in forums and blogs all over the internet.
If true, this could very well be MoH's year. It is obvious that MoH may surpasses BO2 thanks to its amazing Frostbite 2 engine. MoH is supposed to

Treyarch has repeated time and time again that they are going to make the whole Black Ops 2 experience epic and from what we have seen from GamesCom, they sure did keep their word. In this article I will bring to you what I feel were the top features of Black Ops 2 multiplayer (shown till now).
Class Creation - 10 Point System
Treyarch has completely redefined the create-a-class feature that has remained pretty much standard since the first Modern Warfare. They have implemented a new 10 Point System with which players can now build their class (points are used to equip weapons, equipments etc.). This system removes the restraints of having fixed number of grenades, equipments and weapons, and will essentially allow players to make their very own unique class that suits their playing style.
Killstreaks replaced by Scorestreaks
Black Ops 2 will also be utilizing Scorestreaks instead of Killstreaks (similar to that seen in Modern Warfare 3). This system will allow
