In a huge new sponsorship deal, OpTic has teamed up with Pepsi to bring a brand new energy drink to the market. Aimed at gamers looking for the best fuel to power up their own game, the new drink is called Brisk Mate. The Mate in Brisk Mate is pronounced mah-tay and is based off of a South American leaf that is used in the drink that has the same pronunciation at the end of it's name. The drink is an iced tea that comes in a range of different flavors and also comes with a range of other benefits you'd hope to see in an energy drink.
The Brisk Mate drink has been described to give players a "smooth, energizing spark" and as well as using the sponsorship deal to showcase their new drink, Pepsi will allow the OpTic teams from different games to drink the drink at events - we'd expect there to be enough Brisk Mate to last the entire OpTic organisation for an entire lifetime.
Perhaps the coolest thing to come from the new sponsorship deal, at least for us viewers, is a number

After a beautiful display of games over the course of last week, CLG has managed to take home the cup for the Halo World Championship and have bagged themselves the biggest single cash prize in all of FPS eSports history. In fact, CLG's $1 million win over Team Allegiance has set them to be the first team outside of Dota 2 to win $1 million in a single event.
Even eSports titles like League of Legends and Counter Strike: Global Offensive haven't seen prize pools as large as the HWC and as you can imagine CLG are pretty chuffed about their win. In the grand finals, CLG (Or Counterlogic Gaming) went against Allegiance and CLG absolutely crushed the competition.
The first game was Capture The Flag on Coliseum, which ended in a tie with CLG's Frosty taking one flag and Allegiance's eL toWin's taking another. Because of the tie, the first game was replayed and this time CLG crushed Allegiance with a 3-0 scoreline. SnakeBite managed to capture 2 flags whilst Royal 2 captured another

So before we get started on the news, it should be noted that recently Team eLevate dropped their Halo team, which previously consisted of Goofy, Nemasisst, Str8 Sick and MuNoZ. After dropping their roster, eLevate still seemed interested in the Halo scene and now it looks as if they have picked up the ex-Noble eSports squad.
The Noble eSports team previously included Rayne, Swift Kill, Penguin and Calm and now this squad of four will be under eLevate's name and logo. Whilst Nobile eSports failed to make it into the regional qualifiers, this roster change means that they will now be able to play in the Halo World Championship. Unfortunately Goofy, Nemasisst, Str8 Sick and MuNoZ will not be able to take part in the HWC despite managing to make their way through the qualifiers before being stripped from the eLevate organization.
We think that this turn of results has been a little weird and as a result, eLevate's offering in the HWC might not be quite as impressive as it would

The next free update for Halo 5 will be hitting servers later this month and like previous updates before it, it will include some new game modes for multiplayer and a range of new items that can be picked up through REQ packs.
Perhaps the biggest addition to this month's free update is the inclusion of Griffball. Griffball is one of the most popular mini games for Halo and it features two teams as they fight to pick up a ball and place it in the opposing team's goal in a small court room. The reason why Griffball is so special is because players are loaded up with gravity hammers and energy swords.
Speaking of gravity hammers, this weapon will be making a big splash in Warzone this month - available as a rare REQ, the gravity hammer is sure to have a big impact on the playing field. It's hard to say whether there will be any extra REQs for the gravity hammer but the new Hammer Storm update will include a number of extra REQs for the assault rifle and the DMR.

The Smite World Championships took place last week in Atlanta and they have now come to a close. Teams from around the world have competed and only the top teams have managed to walk away with a part of the prize pool.
Ten of the best teams in the world participated in the Smite World Championship but the tournament ended with Enemy and Epsilon Esports going at each other for a huge $500 million first place prize. Epsilon Esports managed to win out with an amazing 3-0 against Cloud 9 in a best of five game format.
Enemy didn't go home empty handed though - the second place team was awarded $230,000 and third and fourth place teams Cloud 9 and Paradigm earned $75,000 each. The remaining cash from the $1 million prize pool went to the other six teams.
Whilst the Smite World Championship brought in a large viewer base, the prize pool was only for the PC version of Smite. The Xbox One Smite Invitational also took place in the same week but this prize pool only consisted

As it currently stands, Rocket League is only available on PlayStation 4 and PC. It would be easy to assume that Rocket League is a PS4 and PC exclusive kind of deal because of this, but surprisingly the game does not have any exclusivity deals whatsoever. Because the development team of Rocket League is quite small, they just haven't had the time or resources to push out the game to any other platforms just yet.
Thankfully, the Rocket League developers do have plans to move the game to new consoles, and yes, that does mean that the game could come to Xbox One.
Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but one of the Rocket League developers did recently mention that they do have plans to release their game to other platforms, in addition to the PlayStation 4 and the PC.
When asked whether Rocket League would come to Xbox One, a developer of the game chuckled a little and then made the following statement.
"I can't say. We're looking at all kinds of platforms

Recently, the eSports industry has grown at a huge rate. We're seeing new companies get involved in eSports from all over the world. This week, Sony announced a brand new eSports platform for PlayStation Plus users that will offer everyday players the chance to earn real money by playing the games they love.
The new eSports platform for PlayStation Plus users is called LEAGUE, and it will be hosted on a seasonal basis. Each season, different rewards will be available for players across some of the main PlayStation 4 games.
As it currently stands, there are championships underway for Battlefield Hardline, Ultra Street Fighter IV and FIFA 16. As things are only just getting underway, the reward system is little confusing, but it looks as if there will be a small monthly prize pool for each game - each first place prize will consist of around 150 euros. Other rewards all add up to the cumulative rewards pool of 20,000 euros.
To begin with it looks like all championships

If the original huge pocket of DLC for Evolve wasn't enough for you, then you should get yourself prepared for more because Turtlerock has just announced yet another season pass for the game. Yes, that's right, Evolve will be getting another wave of DLC and there's nothing you can do about it.
The DLC in question will be featured in the Evolve Hunting Pass 2 and it will include four new hunters, one new monster and some exclusive skins only available in the season pass. Any new maps released during this time will be available for all players, just like previous content, and these maps will be available for free.
The first piece of DLC has already been listed - it will be a new Assault class hunter named Lennox and she'll be the first hunter to ever feature a melee attack. She'll come with a special mechanized suit that is equipped with a Plasma Lance.
Whilst Turtlerock has revealed the news about the DLC, Take-Two, Turtlerock's publisher seem to have just as much to
