The possibility of a next gen release for Grand Theft Auto V has been on the minds of many, and as both the release for the next GTA and the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One draw closer, it's only natural to be curious about what may happen to the series upon hitting the next generation.
When Rockstar was asked whether Grand Theft Auto Five would make it to either the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 no definitive answer was given, except that Phil Hooker, Rockstar North's technical director, believes that Rockstar 'already feels next generation.'
In an interview with IGN Phil has said that "When we started we knew the scope of GTA 5 was huge and incredibly ambitious. Fortunately from completing GTA 4 we had a team that was already very familiar with the hardware."
"Every aspect of the game had to be better, richer in gameplay and more fluid and knowing we were launching on the same platforms meant we could focus on extracting the most out of those consoles and making the game as

Rockstar made a post on their website This week to announce that their new open world game, Grand Theft Auto V has finally gone gold. This means that the game is 100% finished and fully developer and Rockstar will now work on manufacturing and shipping out copies to ensure we can all get the game on it's release day, September 17.
Earlier in the year Rockstar delayed the release of Grand Theft Auto V so that they could work on the game more and fine tune the experience for the players of the game, however this time round, the stated September 17 release date will be the true final release date for the game.
Rockstar also mentioned that some gameplay leaks happened due to a glitch in the system of the PlayStation Network's digital pre-order system. Some PS3 owners managed to download the game as soon as they pre-ordered, and this caused some leaks around the web.
The footage included some in-game TV cut-scenes that will be viewable at some point in the game, and videos

If you're enjoying the criminal life in Payday 2, you'll be glad to know that you'll be able to enjoy it even more as the developers of Payday 2, Overkill Software, plan to release a total of 5 different DLC packs in the future. David Goldfarb, the game's director, has said that Payday 2 is "just like it's predecessor, Payday: The Heist' and that it's 'a living thing."
All of the 5 DLC packs are planned for release over the next year, however details on what these DLC packs will include has been kept behind bars for now.
If you're not up for spending on new DLC packs, Payday 2 has also been planned to have free content updates according to David Goldfarb, meaning you'll be able to enjoy some new content for the game in the future without having to pay. Once again, no details have been given on what exactly this new content will include.
Will you be buying the DLC packs for Payday 2? Many have been playing this game recently and despite it being an underdog in a time

If you haven't watched the GTA V Online trailer already, go watch it! If you have, then I expect you are just as excited as me!
First things first though- some have been a little confused at the whole GTA V Online thing. The trailer has made it to sound like some kind of standalone game, but Rockstar have cleared things up. GTA V Online will be accessible from any standard GTA V and won't require a code, a subscription or any kind of money to access.
However, the online multiplayer portion of GTA V won't be available until October 1st. This means that if you get the game at launch or before October, you won't be able to play online with your buddies and will only be able to play single-player.
The reason for this is most likely that Rockstar wants to spend two more weeks truly polishing up the multiplayer experience so that it arrives in tip top condition for all of us to play how Rockstar wanted us to play it.
If you've watched both gameplay trailers,

A Japanese magazine, Famitsu, has published an issue that includes an interview with Rockstar. Within the interview, Famitsu goes on to giving details about some so far unspoken of features within the Grand Theft Auto V universe.
Like seen in the gameplay trailer, animals will play a part in Grand Theft Auto V. According to Famitsu, there will be more than 15 animals within the game. Some of which players will encounter in the wild, and will be available to hunt. Players will also be able to get a pet dog and give that dog new accessories. The dog can be lost, although we're not sure whether this means the dog can be killed or whether it can be 'misplaced' within the game, and whether you'll be able to get a new dog is currently unknown.
Players will also be able to play underwater for the first time, and Grand Theft Auto V even has an underwater story mission. This mission will be played out by Trevor and Michael with jet skis.
Famitsu also confirmed the Japanese release

To make development easier, Rockstar has split itself into a few different development teams. For example, Rockstar North is currently developing Grand Theft Auto 5, but another team, Rockstar Toronto are one of the development teams behind the Max Payne series, and it looks like they will be the team behind an upcoming next gen game too.
It was previously revealed that Rockstar San Diego, the devs behind Red Dead Redemption, are also making an open world game for next generation consoles, but Rockstar Toronto has posted up a job listing hiring those that are capable of developing for a "Large Scale" title.
More digging around the job postings has revealed that the game is for both Xbox and Sony consoles, although a definite next-gen release hasn't been confirmed anywhere in the text. It's also apparent that the game is currently untitled, meaning that it's very unlikely that Rockstar Toronto are working on an open world Max Payne game.
Seeing as Max Payne is usually

I'd be surprised if you haven't seen it already, but Rockstar recently uploaded a video filled with gameplay on their Youtube channel. The video shows footage as a narrator explains some of the gameplay mechanics that will be involved with the game. The three-way main character system was shown and explained, and it looks to be very intuitive.
The video also goes onto showing some of the many things you can do in the world of GTA V, including a whole host of sports like golf, tennis or hunting. And other completely unexpected activities like investing in real estate and buying stocks in a virtual stock market.
Another interesting feature is the ability to completely customize your own car with spray paint, and vehicular upgrades. The video showed the player owning a car that looked to come straight out of some of the older Need for Speed games.
The video is feature packed, and if you've been excited for the game already, this video will probably get you drooling, or

Having multiple consoles in the market can be a pain sometimes - obnoxious fanboyism, the inability to play online with friends on a different console, and of course gameplay differences in games.
Luckily though, Rockstar's upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5 will be virtually the same game on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The new GTA has been confirmed to be a very big game, so it's easy to assume there may be gameplay differences between the two consoles because of the lack of powerful hardware.
Rockstar has made the announcement, stating "Players can expect the same great gameplay experience on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms as they have both been developed in tandem."
"Like all of our games, trust that we're committed to making sure Grand Theft Auto V looks and runs as great as possible regardless of whether you pick it up for PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, and we are excited for fans on both platforms to experience Grand Theft Auto V this September.

If you haven't taken any of your leisurely time to wreak havoc through Grand Theft Auto 3 in an almost indestructible tank, I am sure there are many out there that will tell you you've missed out.
In Grand Theft Auto 3, police were easy to outrun, and your damage really had no long-lasting effect on the game world. Of course, this year, hardware is much more capable than PlayStation 2 hardware, and we'll be able to get a lot more gameplay mechanics involved in games.
One of these will be the new addition of better cop AI- according to GameStop, their driving skills will now be very advanced, so expect all kinds of PIT maneuvers and driving tactics to get you safely off the road.
If you don't want the cops hot on your tale, you'll be able to get the attention of rival gangs that have nothing better to do than fight with rival gangs, giving you a perfect amount of time to drive half way across the GTAV world if you need to.
The official description was, "In GTAV,

Grand Theft Auto may be one of the most successful game series of all time, and it seems as each game releases, the games become more and more popular.
This is certainly the case with GTA V. It has now been delayed once, and a lot of gamers are impatiently waiting for release day this September.
In fact, so many people want to get a hold of GTA V that it's predicted to sell faster than games like Black Ops, a game that managed to hit a record by selling 1.4 million units on day one.
Grand Theft Auto V has easily double that score though with a predicted 3 million units sold on day one, completely smashing their previous record of what now seems like a measly 630,000 copies for Grand Theft Auto IV on day one.
Whilst Grand Theft Auto V will do extremely well, it isn't the fastest selling game - FIFA 13 managed to amass a huge 4.5 million sales on day one.
Are you looking forward to Grand Theft Auto V? With so many predicted sales, there's certainly a lot
