The above words aren't my own, but are instead the words of Craig Davidson, the head of global marketing at Microsoft. He believes that at this year's E3, Microsoft will put up a show capable of kicking Sony and their PlayStation 4 in the dust...already.
However, after Microsoft disappointed gamers by revealing a huge amount of sports, sports, sports and TV on the Xbox One, there is no doubt that many gamers are looking to the PlayStation 4 instead.
Perhaps Microsoft can woo the crowd at E3, but with the non-gaming related media content, pay-to-play second hand gaming, worse hardware than the PS4 and bundled Kinect 2.0 sensor that will only raise the cost of the overall price, Microsoft have dug themselves a hole that's going to be very hard to get out of.
There's no doubt that both Sony and Microsoft will be trying to get the most attention at E3, but to be honest, right now it's much too hard to work out who will come out on top at the end of this

There's nothing like a bit of a public trolling to reignite the fires of the console war. At least in Sony's eyes that is. Hours before the launch event for the Xbox One, Sony took to Twitter to poke fun at the Xbox and promote their new PlayStation 4 with a new Youtube video.
The tweet that was posted on the official PlayStation Europe twitter page said 'Also - If you haven't seen our #PS4 teaser video, where have you been?! As it's a slow news day... here it is: http://bit.ly/12oYGG7'
The link sends the reader to a new Youtube video showing quick glimpses of the new PlayStation 4. Due to all of the added photo and screen effects, it's hard to make out what the PS4 actually looks like. It is however nice to see Sony showing something of their new console.
Microsoft's Larry Hryb similarly poked fun at Sony at their reveal earlier in the year by saying "Announce a console without actually showing a console? That's one approach."

As the release date for Battlefield 4 draws closer, we are hearing more and more about the different versions and DLC the game will include.
For those in the UK, GAME has recently struck a deal with EA and DICE to release a Battlefield 4 exclusive deluxe edition that comes with a bunch of downloadable content.
The deluxe edition will cost 64.99 (Pounds) for both PS3 and Xbox 360, and will include the previously announced China Rising DLC pack, among other things.
The extra bonuses will include currently unannounced in-game content, Battlefield 4, and a Battlefield 4 steel book cover.
The DLC will also be available for purchase for those who order the standard version. Currently there is no information on whether a US alternative to the deluxe edition will make it to retail.
Battlefield 4 will make it to Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 29th, with an Xbox One and PS4 release following afterwards.

Although some details are still under wraps about the Xbox One, Microsoft did share a few details about the achievement system, saying that the system has had some fundamental changes to the way it works and how players interact with their achievements.
Unlike with the Xbox 360, achievements won't be tied down to games, and whilst there are likely to be game-specific achievements, it sounds as if you'll be able to progress with achievements across multiple games.
It could be possible that some games can contribute to achievements like '1,000 total headshots' but I can imagine most of these achievements to be things like '50 total hours played' or '25 games played.'
Players will also be able to upload and share footage of their games and achievement progress, similarly to the PlayStation 4's new share feature that was revealed earlier this year.
Currently details are a bit sparse, but it's likely we'll hear more about the new dynamic achievement system soon.

A lot of PC MMO developers have considered moving their titles to next gen consoles. We already know the popular free FPS Blacklight: Retribution will make it to PS4, and rumors have been going around about Planetside 2 hitting console as well.
This early on in the next generation of console it's hard to tell what will actually hit the console and what won't so it's refreshing to see that War Thunder, a free arcade World War 2 flight MMO by Gaijin Entertainment, will make its debut to PlayStation 4 sometime in Holiday 2013.
The game will offer a free experience similar to the PC version, although the game will have 'more intuitive controls' thanks to Sony's Dual Shock 4 controller.
"We're convinced that our cooperation with Sony will not only make the War Thunder franchise better, but it will give our fans a new level of gaming experience that will figuratively blown their mind," Said Kirill Yudintse,

Any news of new IP these days in the gaming industry is always good news, and when it sounds like a good IP, it's even better. Lord of the Fallen, a new Action RPG currently being developed by CI games certainly sounds like something news worthy, and it is scheduled to hit the PlayStation 4.
The game has been stated as being a hardcore action RPG with advanced combat systems and robust skill trees.
The game will take place in a fantasy world in a time where the Gods have failed mankind. Players will control a human named Harkyn as he sets out on a quest to stop the Gods from destroying mankind. The game is being designed to make sure that players find it meaningful to travel across the whole world, and as they do, they will be greeted with many different challenges.
"Our team is building Lords of the Fallen specifically for players who enjoy taking on huge challenges, where the odds are stacked against them," said Tomasz Gop, executive producer, CI Games. From the very

Thanks to a huge rise in tablet and smartphone gaming, handhelds like the 3DS and the PS Vita have seen terrible sales. And even when Sony lowered the pricing for the Vita and sales increased, it still wasn't up to Sony's standards, and they haven't given up on the portable console yet.
For an incentive to those already interested in both the PS4 and the PS Vita, Sony are making it possible to remotely play PlayStation 4 games straight on your PS Vita. It's most likely that the game will be streamed from the PS4 and will work in a similar way to the Wii U's gamepad.
However, no games will need this extra functionality, and it really just serves as a portable copy of your game, so if you're ever fall into the predicament of who gets to use the TV first, you can just switch on your PlayStation, power up your PS Vita, and then change the channel back to live television once you're set up on the handheld.
Sony has stated on their official website that "We would like every

The one thing that Gran Turismo has done well is build upon their existing franchise each time a new game comes out, making each new addition to the franchise more feature packed than the last one.
The legend himself, Kazunori Yamauchi, announced Gran Turismo 6 for PlayStation 3 at Sony's GT 15th anniversary celebration and it is certainly looking as featured packed as we've expected GT games to be.
The game is said to include a total of 1,200 drivable cars, some of which are new to the series, and plenty more have been planned for additional content in the future.
The game will also include 7 new tracks, making 33 in total, and a brand new improved engine has been added that has been built with the help of KW Automotive and Yokohama Rubber, two companies that have experience in the field of tire, suspension and kinetic modeling.
Gran Turismo 6 should be the most realistic GT game yet, and with the inclusion of a bunch of new cars, and a total of 33

Naughty Dog like to leave little hints around in their world for gamers to speculate about, and the last time this happened, a date left in a bar in Uncharted 3 turned out to be the release date for the Last of Us.
Gamers have now found a calendar in the Last of Us with the date October 2013 written on it. Whilst this could have just been a randomly chosen date for art and immersion purposes, it could be possible that the date on the calendar is hinting towards an October 2013 release for Naughty Dog's next game, Uncharted 4.
Uncharted 4 would sit nicely on the PlayStation 4 right ahead of the release date of the console, and if the game is released in October, perhaps this could mean the PS4 could be released before or around the October 2013 date as well.
There is no way of really knowing what the meaning is behind the Calendar, but a lot of gamers are convinced that the October 2013 date in the Last of Us is more than just artwork. What are your opinions?

Sony is literally horrible at keeping new hardware news secret. Months before its official release there were rumors going around that Sony was coming up with a new "super slim" version of the old PS3. By old PS3 I mean the very first generation, you know the ones that weighed a ton.Sony is known to release slimmer version of their consoles as they did for the PS2 so everyone expected a PS3 Slim somewhere down the pipeline. However, I for one did not expect a slimmer version of the PS3 Slim. The rumors mentioned the newer model might be a bit cheaper and also arrive somewhere around TGS 2012.
Thanks to Sony's official reveal, once again we see that rumors in the video game industry are much more reliable than those in any other industry. The Playstation 3 Super Slim was revealed on the 17th of September on TGS and the details of the new model are as follows.
Specifications:
There is nothing really different about this model
