After months of teasing and game trailers, the release date for Street Fighter 5 has finally been set. Street Fighter 5 has been anticipated by fans for a very long time now so it's great to see the date finally being revealed.
So when will Street Fighter 5 be released? The game will come on February 16, 2016 for North America and Europe. Other regions have not had their release dates revealed, but if you're in a region that usually gets releases near the time of North America and Europe, then you can expect to see Street Fighter 5 around February 16 next year.
On top of the February 16 release date unveiling, some DLC information was released. It was mentioned that 6 DLC characters would be released in the following 12 months after the launch of Street Fighter 5. It was also revealed that Dhalsim will be in Street Fighter 5 - it's expected that he'll be a playable character at launch.
As for the rest of the fighters available at launch, we're not quite sure about this.

Bandai Namco has finally announced that Yoshimitsu will be returning to the franchise in Tekken 7. With Yoshimitsu being one of my favorite fighting characters of all time, I was pretty excited to hear the news, but Bandai Namco has done something a little... strange with him.
If you look back to previous Tekken games, you'll notice that Yoshimitsu never really has one appearance style. He'll always have drastically different costumes in each game. For those who don't keep an eye on the series it's easy to lose track of what Yoshimitsu actually looks like.
The latest rendition of Yoshimitsu for Tekken 7 is beyond a shadow of a doubt the weirdest we've ever seen him before. Yoshimitsu now has a number of tentacles branching off of his face.
Yes, that's right. We've been tricked. Yoshimitsu has been a space squid on legs all this time. Whilst you may not personally like the new Yoshimitsu looks it's important to note that there are bound to be plenty of costume options

As part of a celebration on the 20th anniversary stream on Nico Nico, three more characters have been confirmed for Tekken 7, and they will be making their way into the game at various points throughout 2015.
Two of the three characters are returning favorites, whilst one is a completely brand new character named Josie Rizal. Not much information has been shared about Josie, although it has been confirmed that her nationality is filipino. The release date for Josie Rizal has not yet been set, and Bandai Namco have simply stated that she will be added to the game "soon."
For those that are aware of Filipino history, you'll know that the name Josie Rizal is way too similar to Jose Rizal for it to be a coincidence. Jose Rizal is considered a national hero in the Philippines and lived in the 1800s.
The other two characters are two favorites that we all expected to see in Tekken 7 a lot sooner. The first is Jin Kazama, and the second is Devil Jin. Whilst Josie does not yet

As expected, Tekken 7 has now launched in Japan, and from what we have seen so far it is looking like a pretty impressive game. Tekken 7 was already available in a select few arcade machines across Tokyo, but the game has now fully launched to console, and those in Japan can head in store to pick up a copy of the game.
Tekken 7 has released with 20 different characters, although more are planned as extra content later on in the game's life. Five of these characters are brand new to the game, one of which is the end boss for the story mode.
On top of the new characters, two new mechanics have been introduced to Tekken 7. The first is called Rage Art, and this gives players the ability to perform a series of unblockable moves that do a portion of the standard damage of the attacks they perform.
The next new mechanic is called Power Crush, and it will allow players to continue attacking, even whilst being attacked by the enemy. This ability does have it's limitations though,

A brand new Tekken 7 character has been revealed - the new character is of Arab origins and was previously teased in late 2014. Named Shaheen, the new Tekken 7 character will be joining the full character roster upon Tekken 7's release.
Previously, a character named Lucky Chloe was announced for Tekken 7, and the developers received a lot of criticism, and as a result, she was removed from the western version of the game.
At the time, the developers suggested that another character would take the place of Lucky Chloe, but it's unclear whether Shaheen was designed to be the replacement character, or whether he was planned to be released alongside Lucky Chloe.
Either way, it's likely that there may be more characters planned for reveal for Tekken 7 in the near future. Previously, a latin American character named Katarina was announced, and a male counterpart, Claudio was revealed alongside her.
That means there are currently four new characters we know about so

In a new announcement, Bandai Namco have revealed that Tekken 7 will have a brand new game mechanic that could help some players who struggle adapting to different sides of the screen.
Within Tekken 7, players will now be able to head into the settings menu and choose which side they would like their character to be displayed on. Once chosen, players will be able to jump into a game, and the camera will either remain stable, or will flip, depending on what side the player chose within the settings menu.
In previous Tekken games, players were forced to play on whichever side of the screen was assigned to them, so this new feature in Tekken 7 should come as a pleasant surprise.
To explain it better - imagine player 1 gets paired up against a player online. Player 1 takes the left side of the screen, whilst player 2 takes the right side. Player 1 may have put the right side as their preference, and as a result, the camera will be flipped to make it appear as if their character

Thanks to the quick connectivity of the internet, games developers can communicate with their fans in new ways that can help game development become more in-line with what the players want.
Usually, new features are added to games based on player input, but recently, a little too much criticism left Tekken 7 game director Katsuhiro Harada with no choice other than to press the red button on one of the games new characters, at least that's what he's told us.
After announcing Lucky Chloe, a bouncy bubble, female character dressed up with plenty of kitten themed accessories, NeoGAF members argued that the character was very shallow and was completely unnecessary for Tekken 7.
After hearing these complaints, Harada reacted by revealing that Lucky Chloe will no longer be available in the United States. He further went on to explain that the new character would only be available in East Asia and Europe, and detailed that American players would prefer Lucky Chloe to be replaced

New screenshots of Tekken 7 have hit the internet that show off a few aspects of the game, including two characters new to the franchise. The first new character shown in official screens has been named as Claudio. Not many details have been given about Claudio, besides from the fact that he dons a white cloak, and some players have made relations to Maxi from the Soul Calibur series.
Another character in the screens by the name of Katarina has also been revealed, but once again, details on this character have been left out. Both characters can be seen in the image shown above. Along with the two new characters, Tekken 7 will host all previous characters seen in previous games in the franchise.
Whilst Tekken 7 is still under development a few arcades in Japan have the game available for play, and players have reported that the game will come with a few new gameplay mechanics, including Power Crush, a new ability that allows players to take hits from the opponent whilst trying

Mortal Kombat X and Tekken 7 have already been announced, and Killer Instinct has been available for free on the Xbox One since it's launch, and in the coming years, Street Fighter will also make it's debut to the new generation of consoles, new details reveal.
Yoshinori Ono recently revealed details for a new Street Fighter game for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One on Twitter by stating "Hahaha, some time or other..." After being asked about the possibility of a PS4 or Xbox One Street Fighter title.
This new information reveals that Capcom do have plans for a new Street Fighter game for both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, but it may be a while before we finally see it make an appearance. It's likely the game is still in early development stages, if it's even started development at all.
Yoshinori Ono also revealed on twitter that there are no plans to release a Street Fighter game for the Wii U, once again showing that hardly publishers are interested in releasing

After the recent pre-announcement slip-up for Tekken 7 earlier in the month, it looks like Bandai Namco have taken to the stage at this year's Comic-Con to do themselves justice. The developers of the latest Tekken games have just released a brand new extended trailer to officially announce Tekken, without any leaks getting in the way this time.
The new Tekken 7 trailer is just over 3 minutes in length, and depicts part of the story the franchise the game has already laid out in previous games. Whilst it may be an exciting watch for many fans of the franchise, the latest extended Tekken 7 trailer didn't really do enough to draw many people in, and it will definitely have a tough time going up against Mortal Kombat X, a game which has recently had a reveal trailer that depicts some very epic fight scenes.
Whilst we haven't seen any actual gameplay of Tekken 7 yet, we can expect the game to look absolutely incredible, thanks to the new Unreal Engine 4, which series game director
