• Black Ops 3 Getting Zombies Map Remasters

black ops 3 zombies chroniclesIn a bit of a surprise move, Treyarch has announced some new content for Black Ops 3, specifically for the zombies mode.

It has been announced that new content under the name Zombies Chronicles will be making its way to Black Ops 3 in the near future. The new content will feature remastered versions of eight different zombies maps from previous COD zombies games.

The eight maps include the following - Nacht der Untoten, Kino der Toten, Shangri-la, Shi no Numa, Moon, Ascension, Verruckt and Origins.

Jason Blundell, studio head for Treyarch, has spread his word on the importance of these eight maps. He feels strongly that these eight maps are "the foundation for Zombies," and that he felt like "It was more important to give people the beginnings."

Call of Duty Black Ops 3: Zombie Chronicles will launch on May 16 - so far this launch will be exclusive to PlayStation 4. A later launch for Xbox One should follow, although the Xbox One launch date hasn't been announced yet. Interestingly, the price tag for the new Zombies Chronicles maps hasn't been announced either. We would expect it will go on sale for a similar price to previous DLC packs from Treyarch, however.

If we take a look at previous timed Call of Duty exclusivities, we can safely guess that the Xbox One launch should be roughly one month after the PS4 launch, so we'd say June 16 could be a good estimate.

  • More Black Ops 3 Details Released, Including Supported Platforms

black ops 3 detailsIf you didn't know already, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is coming this year, and it's looking it could completely change a lot about the previous games in the franchise.

The latest trailer has released more details about Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, including a release date and the supported platforms that the game will run on. As you can expect, Black Ops 3 will only be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, so there will not be any support for the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3.

Black Ops 3 will be releasing on November 6 worldwide, but players are given the chance to play it a little earlier. If you pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 you will be given access to a multiplayer beta.

There will be a beta for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, so you'll be able to give the beta a try no matter what platform you play on. Unfortunately neither Treyarch or Activision has given a date on the multiplayer beta, but it can't be that far away considering that the full game will be released near the end of this year.

In more news it has been revealed that the multiplayer in Black Ops 3 will be undergoing some interesting changes. Players will no longer be playing as a standard soldier. Instead they will be forced to choose between certain specialists, all of which have their own unique abilities or weapon loadouts.

  • Black Ops 3 Announced

black ops 3Out of nowhere Treyarch has just announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be coming this year. The developer also released a small teaser trailer showing very little of anything besides the Black Ops logo.

Fortunately the teaser trailer does give us more information about when we can expect to hear more about Black Ops 3. According to the new trailer, there will be a worldwide reveal on Sunday, April 26.

So far, we haven’t seen any gameplay of Black Ops 3 and we don’t really know what to expect. The last title in the game was from Sledgehammer Games and this was the first time the development studio created a Call of Duty game without any external help. Some players seem quite excited to look forward to a new Black Ops title, whilst others are wishing Activision chose to go for a different Call of Duty era.

Considering Treyarch is still going down the futuristic Black Ops arch, it could be possible that the upcoming Black Ops title will come with some of the game content we saw in Advanced Warfare. It would be interesting to see the exo-suit abilities in Black Ops 3, although we can neither confirm nor deny whether this will happen or not.

Hopefully we will learn all about Black Ops 3 and what to expect from the game on April 26. The April reveal is a little earlier than usual so perhaps we’ll see Black Ops 3 release earlier than scheduled too.
