• Xbox One Issues Summary- Green Screen of Death, Broken Xbox One, DOA, Blu-ray Drive

    Xbox One Broken DOA

It looks as if both Sony and Microsoft have run into problems, and an increasing amount of reports are coming in about broken Xbox Ones and issues with the console.

Once again, it's unlikely there is a large volume of consoles with any issues at all, but the minority that are having problems are likely to shout about it, and that's why all of the current issues have been made aware of.

If you're having any issues with your Xbox One, use the summary to find out about how to deal with your problem.

Xbox One Blu-ray Disk Drive Problems

Microsoft has acknowledged the problem with Blu-ray disk drives not functioning properly and has offered to replace any consoles that have this problem. "The issue is affecting a very small number of Xbox One customers", Microsoft said in the statement. "We're working directly with those affected to get a replacement console to them as soon as possible through our advance exchange program."

Obviously, at this time it’s hard to say just how long it will take to get a replacement console.

    Green Screen of Death

This is a freezing problem that occurs on the Xbox One dashboard UI, but unfortunately a statement by Microsoft hasn't been made about this problem. If you still have the box and the receipt, you could try your luck at the retail store you purchased it from and try to get a new console. If your local area is out of consoles, you'll have to wait for an official reply.

    Xbox One Dead-On-Arrival

This seems to be a very rare issue, but it is happening nonetheless. If you're unfortunate enough to have this problem, take it back to the store or try to contact the online e-commerce website you purchased your console from. Microsoft will probably offer a replacement console via the included warranty, but you'll have to directly contact them through their help lines.

With such a huge global launch, hardware and software issues are bound to arise- it's likely most of you are enjoying your new console without any issues, but if you're unlucky enough to have problems, you'll have to go through one of the above routes to get it fixed.

  • Xbox One Sells 1 Million in 24 Hours

    1 Million Xbox One Sales

Just like with the PlayStation 4's North American launch, Microsoft's new Xbox One console has managed to sell a total of 1 million units within the first 24 hours of launch.

This is some pretty interesting news, and despite all of the criticism Microsoft have received, and the fact that the Xbox One is more expensive than the PlayStation 4, this shows that there is still a strong audience out there for the Xbox One.

Microsoft made a statement to state that the Xbox One is now sold out in most retailers, despite other reports stating otherwise, however, the 1 million sales are most likely true at this point.

To match the demand, Microsoft hope to mass produce more consoles before Christmas. Xbox's corporate Vice President of Marketing and Strategy, Yusuf Mehdi, has an offered a statement saying, "We are working hard to create more Xbox One consoles and look forward to fulfilling holiday gift wishes this season."

Like mentioned above, we've heard a few reports about a large amount of Xbox One's still being available, so although the console has sold incredibly well, it looks like Microsoft's next gen console may not be dealing with as many production issues as the PlayStation 4 is.

Most reviews for the Xbox One from customers and critics seem to be quite positive, and many are hailing it as the console of choice for those who are more likely to use their console for more entertainment mediums such as TV, internet browsing, listening to music or watching movies.

  • Price Drop on Xbox One Titles At Amazon

    Xbox One Discount Exclusive Games

If you're hoping to bag yourself a deal without having to deal with competition with other shoppers on Black Friday, you may want to hop over to Amazon because they have just temporarily reduced the price of some of the current available Xbox One games.

All three blockbuster Xbox One exclusive launch titles have been reduced in price; this includes Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, and Ryse: Son of Rome.

All three games will be reduced in price by $10, taking their $59.99 price tag to just under $50 bucks.

On top of this, these copies of the game are Day One editions, which means you'll be able to bag yourself exclusive content that will not be available to anyone other than early purchasers or pre-ordered copies.

For Ryse: Son of Rome this includes an exclusive box art and new unlockable gladiator items. The Dead Rising 3 Day One edition comes bundled with an exclusive box art as well, along with the exclusive tribute pack which pays homage to Frank West, the protagonist of the first two games by including extra features such as a Classic Frank West costume, Frank's Zombie Slugger weapon, exclusive special attacks, a custom skill move and perks for added melee damage and health.

Forza Motorsport 5 Day One Edition comes packed with the Day One Edition car pack exclusive to the early purchasers which includes the 2010 Audio TT RS Coupe, the 2013 Ford Focus ST and the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggara.

  • Xbox One Will Capture the Moment You Unlock a New Achievement

A new Xbox One software feature has been revealed by an Xbox rep at the EB Expo in Australia, and it adds a little extra personal touch to the Achievements system.

Often while playing on the Xbox 360, unlocking achievements can go unnoticed, and some games don't explain very clearly how achievements are unlocked, but this new software system will give gamers an insight into how they unlocked their achievements and got up their Gamerscore.

According to the Xbox rep, "The DVR will automatically record any Achievements that take place so whenever you unlock a Gamerscore it will automatically record how you did that so you can check it out later."

Obviously this isn't going to be a selling point for the Xbox One, but it's nice to have a few extra features here and there to add more personalization and attachment to your own gamer profile.

This isn't the first feature that allows gamers to watch back previous gameplay footage though. Microsoft have already announced a feature on the Xbox One that will allow owners to record, edit and upload gameplay footage with software available for free on the Xbox 1. Users will then be able to share this clip with their friends directly through Xbox LIVE or through various other social platforms.

Players will also be able to directly stream game footage to websites such as Twitch.TV, removing the need for external third party game capturing equipment.

It seems both Microsoft and Sony and branching out with the next generation and are looking for as many ways as possible to make gaming as social as possible.

  • No Loading Scenes and Dynamic Zombies on Dead Rising 3

One of the true wonders of the next generation is the inclusion of games with absolutely no loading screens at all. The current generation of consoles suffered from long waiting times and boring pauses in game whilst we waited for new content to be loaded on-screen.

Dead Rising 3 will be one of the first games to truly show the awesomeness of having no loading times by having a huge open world zombie game, filled with various of items, vehicles and interactive scenery, and hundreds of zombies along with it.

No matter where you go in the world there will be absolutely no pauses in-game for loading screens, and you'll have a hard time looking for any freezes whilst the game tries to load new things such as when you enter a building filled with zombies.

Another thing that is cool is that the Dead Rising 3 art developers have worked hard to ensure you'll "never see the same building twice." Every texture in the game has been hand crafted, and there is no reuse of assets across the world, so you're not going to come across the exact same 24/7 garage 100 meters down the road.

Zombies are obviously a core component to Dead Rising 3 the Xbox One Exclusive. To mix things up, each and every zombie will be randomly generated and will randomly pick prebuilt hair styles, clothing, gorey areas and other features from a big pool of zombie parts.

This should make the zombies feel like individuals, and hopefully you won't come across zombie twins all that often.
