What are the limitations of the gamer?
The gamer has difficulty operating a standard controller and therefore prefers a design that allows them to place their hands on the box comfortably, while still having access to primary inputs. This design is great for gamers who generally struggle with holding the controller and mainly use thumbs for inputs. With this design, you can access the necessary inputs more easily with your fingers than with a standard controller.
Details of the modifications
> Box Shape
> Button Inputs
We added extra button inputs to the surface of the box, with a unique design from Evil Controllers. These inputs are sensitive, easily clickable, and were placed in the exact desired position. Unlike standard buttons used for modifications, these are visually appealing while also being very functional. Additional buttons were also added to the right side of the box, as the user can reach this area as well. The buttons are a unique product designed and exclusively available only at Evil Controllers.
> Analog Thumbsticks
We relocated the analog thumbsticks from the controller to the housing, allowing the gamer to more easily reach the thumbsticks. The design includes our removable Evil Sticks, providing further customization for the user. For example, the gamer can change the height of the thumbstick to decrease the tension needed to operate the stick. This is a unique product designed and exclusively available only at Evil Controllers.
> Tethered Controller
There is also a fully functional PS5 controller added to the design, allowing the device to be used on PC or the Playstation 4 console. While this device is now fully functional for the gamer independently, there is also an additional benefit to this design. By having a tethered controller to the arcade style box, a friend or family member could also use this controller while the gamer uses the arcade style box. This is known as co-pilot on Xbox (allowing two controllers to function as one, primarily for accessible gaming). Imagine controlling the character in a game with 2 people, so one could operate the directional movement and the other can press buttons to assist the gamer.
