DEVASTATION 2011 was a blast!
Special Thanks to Jedi Robb for creating such an incredible event.
So many great industries were represented and everyone there had a chance to speak to some of the biggest names in professional gaming.
Justin Wong represented the Evil Geniuses in full force by winning both Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition and the Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 tournament.
Professional gamer sWooZie was walking around the convention, taking pictures and talking to his fans on a personal level.
From last year, the event has grown dramatically. Evil Controllers had one of the largest booths there and we also featured [...]

Method Man Raps For Upcoming Titles Featuring Sour Patch Kids
Method Man is known for a lot of things. He's a member of the Wu Tang clan, he loves video games (Def Jam Vendetta: FFNY was awesome), and has a sense of humor (despite we should ignore the "Method and Red" sitcom from years ago). However, I never expected the same man rapping about Sour Patch Kids. In this Youtube video called"World Gone Sour (The Lost Kids)" he raps about an incident involving missing sour-sweet candy pieces. This is the same man help make the music video"Triumph", right?
However, the big question [...]

Activision Focuses on Social Networking / Media To Promote MW3 Instead of EA's Current Approach
When it comes to advertising for their games, it seems like EA lately has been pulling out all the stops, with the Jay-Z "99 Problems" trailer and their tagline "Above and Beyond the Call" (which is a clever shot at Activision's series), it has been pretty effective in gaining attention in my opinion (and the open beta is just as effective as well).
What is Activision doing all this time, advertising-wise? Well, according to this article on Gamezone.com, they are holding back a bit. While it does [...]

Sony Explains the Delayed Launch of the Vita.
If you read here on Kotaku or or here (provided you read Japanese), Sony was to release the Playstation Vita in Japan on December 3rd. Unfortunately, Sony has delayed the released of the portable gaming console by two weeks, December 17th. Which also could mean their European and North American releases could be delayed as well.
The reason why for the release was explained by Hiroshi Kawano, the head of Sony Computer Entertainment, in a recent interview with Famitsu (a Japanese gaming magazine).Kawano revealed that Sony had planned to launch the Vita on Dec [...]

Sony: Firmware Updates Will Not Be Troublesome in the Future
Currently, Sony's biggest problem is the way their consoles like the PSP updates their firmware. They're always often and they slow down or tie up the system which in result means that pick-up-and-play gaming sessions are halted by an essential firmware update.
This has been a problem Sony is looking to fix with the PlayStation Vita. Found here on Kotaku,Shuhei Yoshida (Head of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios) stated the following:
"...it's very annoying when you only have one hour in your busy life to play a game, and when you have [...]

Here comes Horde Mode's Wave 50. Hope You are Prepared but We are Here to Help!
Now that Gears of War 3 is released among the general gaming public, a lot of people probably have gone through the entire campaign and now trying out the online multiplayer modes available or they went straight from unboxing the game and straight into the multiplayer. Either way, it is likely that they are probably playing hours after hours of Horde mode, only for their lucky streaks of gameplay to be stopped before they reach the it-will-take-a-miracle-to-survive-this-round Wave 50. I can hear the controllers being [...]

PS Vita Games show up at Tokyo Game Show, Shape Looks Oddly Familiar
At the Tokyo Game Show, companies like Sony and Nintendo are displaying their latest games and soon-t0-be-released consoles. One of the most interesting things coming out of TGS is the Playstation Vita. Now, when it comes to portable handheld consoles, I'm a Nintendo fanboy (despite I own the first generation DS that's the size of a brick and sometimes I am skeptic of buying a 3DS). But when the images of Sony's booth at the show were shown on the internet, I noticed something about the Playstation [...]
