Peter Molyneux at E3

E3 is only a few weeks away, but Spike TV has announced that they will have Peter Molyneux as their guest host while covering everything related to the world's biggest gaming expo.
Peter Molyneux is the mind behind the popular Xbox franchise, Fable and has recently departed Microsoft to start his own indie studio. While his studio 22 Cans has yet to release any titles, Molyneux is definitely an industry giant. Paired with Geoff Keighley and Kotaku editors you can expect much smarter coverage of E3 this time around on Spike TV.

The Japanese COD: Elite Service is Cancelled Due to Localization Issues

Unfortunate news for Japanese FPS fans, it seems that the Japanese version of Call of Duty: Elite will not be available. The online service was cancelled due to localization issues, according to some news from Kotaku and Square Enix, COD's publisher in Japan.
According to Square Enix and Activision, they worked really hard to get localized versions of Elite released in territories like Japan but kept getting stuck in issues about localization. The biggest problem for Modern Warfare 3 in Japan was that the game was available in a subtitled version [...]

Robert Bowling Leaves Infinity Ward

News from Joystiq reports that the creative strategist for the Call of Duty franchise, Robert Bowling, has recently left Infinity Ward and Activision. Robert "FourZeroTwo" Bowling, announced his resignation on his Twitter.
This is resignation came out of the blue and was a surprise to many. This is due to the fact that Bowling stayed at Infinity Ward even during massive departure of its staff, which many of them then later regrouped to create Respawn Entertainment. When reached for comment, a representative of Activision stated the following:

MW3 Community Announces a Blackout of Activision Shooter

Reported by Attack of the Fanboy and various other sites on the internet, it seems there is some tension amongst the Modern Warfare 3 community of gamers that is directed at Infinity Ward. It seems that fans of the popular Call of Duty game want Infinity Ward to hear their complaints about the game's lack of support for the community's needs and concerns. These complaints range from lag compensation, lack of matchmaking options, broken spawn systems, and a long list of other complaints.

BF3 Shows Off its Next Expansion the Same Time MW3 Releases its Newest DLC

Either it was a coincidence or a way of making a comparison between the two titles' content, on the day Modern Warfare 3 is to release three new maps to Elite subscribers, EA releases the official trailer for the new Battlefield 3 DLC. Instead of delivering the usual downloadable content of maps for every FPS game out there, DICE decided to do something completely different when it comes to expanding Battlefield 3.
