Terry Bogard Arrives in Super Smash Bros

SNK fans rejoice, fan favorite and gaming icon Terry Bogard has been added to the lineup of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch.

Terry is the latest addition to the fighting game, having been announced on September 4th during a Nintendo Direct. He is now the fourth downloadable character that can be obtained using the DLC Fighters Pass, and is labeled as the 74th fighter in the game.

Terry has a long history of appearing in fighting games, having made his debut in the 1991 game Fatal Fury: King of Fighters. Since then, he’s made appearances in countless Fatal Fury and King of Fighters installments. He’s appeared in Neo Geo, arcade, Game Boy, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles, along the way.

Known for his long hair and red trucker cap, Terry Bogard is almost a mascot of sorts for SNK, as he appears on a slew of different merchandise associated with the Japanese gaming giant.

Developers for Smash implemented Terry’s fighting style from the 1990’s games, as they figure its the most well-known for the character.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has proven to be a smash hit for Nintendo, becoming one of the Nintendo Switch’s best-selling games. The game has fighters from a slew of properties that run across consoles and developers, including Pac-Man, Solid Snake, Sonic the Hedgehog, and others.

With this latest addition, we should let you know that we’re working on some Evil Controllers for the Nintendo Switch, as we’ll be customizing the controller to give players the edge as they “smash” their way to success.

Stay tuned for more information as we get rolling…
