Legend of Grimrock Developers Make Their Game Accessible to All Gamers with Limited Accessibility
When someone on the Legend of Grimrock's commented and asked about clickable on-screen arrow navigation for the upcoming Indie dungeon crawling game, developers said they had no plans to make said feature. When they found out that the comment came from a gamer with limited movement, they changed their plans and made it possible for people like the commenter (who goes by the handle name of HarpoonIPA), who uses a mouth stick for typing and gaming.
Legend of Grimrock is an old-school dungeon exploration game from developer company [...]

Ben Heckendorn, creator of the Portal Shirt
When it comes to hacking hardware, Ben Heckendorn is considered something along the lines of a god. Mr. Heckendorn has been known to make hacks of hardware such as the Xbox 360 laptop and the Nes-On-A-Chip portable device. Well this time he went a different route and instead of focusing on a console, he focused on apparel and one of this year's best selling games, Portal 2.
Ben created the world's first Portal shirt. Yes, you heard me, a portal shirt, which you can read in this link. The shirt is the first of its kinda [...]

A Little Helps a Lot
Everyday my email gets spammed with tons of junk mail, but the most pile up junk mail I receive is from daily deal sites. (And yes this is my own fault for originally signing up, but sometimes they have some great deals!) The other day I was contacted by the Philanthoper.com. And their websiteintriguedme. The Philanthoper.com has a similar concept to the daily deal sites, but instead of attempting to sell you meaningless products, they instead promote a different 501(c)3 nonprofit every day. And if you like the nonprofit they are promoting you are able [...]

Terry Proves Gaming While Blind is Possible.
Terry Garrett, a mechanical engineering student from Colorado is able to play an almost perfect game of Abes Exoddus. Not impressed? When if I told you this player was not only an excellent gamer but that he is also blind.
Having lost his first eye at the age of five and his second eye at the age of 10, Terry relies upon sounds, learning limitations of the world through trial and error, and quick-save convenience.
2D games, which are easier to navigate and those that pack great sounds, making it less of a challenge to track [...]
