On October 10, The AbleGamers Foundation opened up its first arcade for people with disabilities in the Washington D.C. public library. This is the first permanent arcade for disabled gamers and it is an addition to the library.

"Our partnership with the AbleGamers Foundation brings the freedom, fun, and independent of video gaming to DC residents with disabilities," said Chief of DC Public Library's Adaptive Services Division, Venetia Demson in a press release.

President and founder of AbleGamers Foundation Mark Barlet said that this project is something he has wanted to do since the start of the organization and believes that this is a "tremendous victory for disabled gamers everywhere."

AbleGamers Foundation is a non-profit organization that represents disabled gamers everywhere through awareness. To learn more go to their website.
