Star Wars Battlefront 2 has been confirmed to feature loot box micro-transactions. While this is a common occurrence in games these days, some players are concerned about the contents of these loot boxes.
With the loot boxes in Battlefront 2, players have two options. Players can either earn credits by playing the game normally, or they can top up their credits balance by purchasing credits with real money. These credits can then be spent to purchase and open loot boxes, or otherwise known as 'Crates' in Battlefront 2.
Players are also given crates for logging in regularly - so players have the opportunity to earn rewards for being a loyal player. All of the crates in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will contain a number of different rewards, including Star Cards, Crafting Materials, and Credits.
Credits can be used to purchase more crates, while Crafting Materials can be used to craft more Star Cards. Finally, Star Cards include upgrades for heroes and characters in Star

Call of Duty has always had a strong eSports focus - in recent years the developers and publisher responsible for the Call of Duty franchise have worked hard to push out more support for eSports in the series, and this support isn't going to stop with Call of Duty World War 2.
In fact, Sledgehammer Games, the developer in control of COD WW2, has been in contact with professional Call of Duty players to help shape the competitive aspects of World War 2.
Michael Condrey, co-founder of Sledgehammer games, had a few positive things to say about their interaction with pro players and their work on making COD WW2 an eSports friendly title.
When asked about pro players, Micheal Condrey mentioned that "They've been fantastic and excited and in many ways, I think they enjoyed returning to a grounded experience with more strategy without the mechanical element. It plays right into what they've been asking for."
Michael was impressed by the amount of positive comments they

Players of the original Destiny won't be getting much when transitioning to Destiny 2, but there are a number of freebies up for grabs to those that did spend time in the first game of the franchise.
Bungie published a new blog post to explain their plans for veteran Destiny players, starting by saying, "Even before our old friend Cayde revealed that your stuff (but, more importantly, his stuff) would soon fall prey to the Red Legion, we let you know that we were going to honor our veteran players who join us again in Destiny 2. Today, we're going to shine a little light on what you can expect if you count yourself among those ranks."
Bungie was hesitant to go into too many details - it seems that they've carefully planned out rewards for returning players, but they do not want to spoil the fun. Bungie did, however, mention that there will be a number of ways players will be able to showcase their early support for the Destiny franchise.
Firstly, Bungie announced a

What is Sonic Mania? We've explained exactly what the new Sonic game is in this blog, as well as providing details about its release date.
Sonic Mania is a brand new Sonic game that's planned to launch later this year. Sonic Mania will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the PC. The game will first be available starting from August 15.
Sonic Mania is not the new Sonic Forces game. Instead, Sonic Mania is a celebration of 25 years of Sonic the Hedgehog - it's a throwback to the fans and it's a 2D re-imagination of the original Sonic the Hedgehog.
The graphics style for Sonic Mania is exactly what you'd expect for a retro re-imagination. The background music fits in perfectly as well, as does the gameplay. Sonic Mania is a new game, but you'll be convinced it isn't - it includes old levels from the original Sonic the Hedgehog, as well as 'remixed' versions of those same levels.
Players will be able to play as Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles

Details for the multiplayer in the new Call of Duty WW2 have been spilled at this year's E3. We now have a gameplay trailer for the multiplayer aspect of WW2, and a confirmation on the date for the PS4 multiplayer beta.
Firstly, the new multiplayer reveal trailer for Call of Duty WW2 has now gone live. The trailer features a number of noteworthy shots. Some of the environments players can expect to play in are seen. Locations include Normandy in France; the Ardennes Forest in Belgium, and Aachen in Germany.
Some gameplay footage was also shown. Straight off the bat, it's clear that this is a Call of Duty game - but it certainly feels more in-line with the earlier Call of Duty titles. Those that played Call of Duty World at War will feel at home with Call of Duty WW2, that's for sure.
While the game has a more gritty, realistic approach, it'll still have a number of trademark Call of Duty features, including a Zombies mode.
