2 Games that PS Plus Extra Could be Losing this Month

Play Station Plus, PlayStation’s online gaming service recently went through a massive revamp, introducing three tiers, called basic, extra, and premium. While all tiers have their own perks and prices, most people have been opting for PS Plus extra, and for good reason. Why? Because it has a massive catalog of games and offers tremendous value for money. With renowned games like Red Dead Redemption, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Spider-Man available on PS Plus Extra’s library, you can expect plenty of more people to subscribe to the service.

That said, many subscribers of the service were under the impression that they could access the game library whenever they pleased. However, that is not the case. Instead, PS Plus’ game catalog is quite similar to Netflix. Most games on there will be there for a limited period and then eventually be replaced by other games. While most people do not have a problem with that, it is a deal breaker for some people, especially new subscribers.

People like to play video games at their own pace and the fear that they will be unable to finish a certain game after a few months may prevent them from subscribing to the service. There are also some people who just want to know when their favorite game will be removed from PS Plus extra’s library.

Games that could be Leaving PS Plus Extra’s Library

The first notable game that may soon disappear from PS Plus’ vast library could be Read Dead Redemption 2. If you have been playing video games for a while, you will be well aware that RDR2 is one of the most successful games of all time, with people replaying it multiple times.

Considering that PS Plus extra is relatively new, the departure of high-profile games like Red Dead Redemption 2 does not make any sense. This is especially true when you consider how long it takes to beat this open-world game.

The other game that PS Plus extra could be losing in July is Guardians of the Galaxy. While beating this game does not take as long as Red Dead Redemption 2, it would still be a surprise to see it being removed from PS Plus extra’s library.

Is it all But Confirmed?

While the news regarding PS Plus removing the above-mentioned titles is not set in stone, there is a good chance that they will not be available on the game catalog come next month. That said, there are still plenty of fantastic games to choose from and most of them will be there for a long time.  You can even expect Sony to replace RDR2 and Guardians of the Galaxy with game titles of the same stature.

If you plan to subscribe to this service, just make sure that you finish the game you are within a couple of months as Sony will remove it eventually.
