Big Patch Live for Battlefield 1

A brand new update has gone live for Battlefield 1 and it contains a huge number of changes and tweaks to the game.

To begin with, the new patch adds a brand new map to Battlefield 1. The new map is called Lupkow Pass - it's available to anybody that has either the season pass or the Name of the Tsar DLC.

The new Lupkow Pass map is set in Russia, deep in the Carpathian mountains. A lot of the new map is focused on verticality and fights between different levels of the mountains.

While the new map is limited to those that have the DLC, there are a number of features and changes in the new update that is available to everybody.

One of the biggest changes includes a bug fix that stops the weapon loadout UI from disappearing. The horse turn speed has been increased by 25% too, which will make those that use the horse more mobile.

DICE has also made it so jumping over obstacles with horses has been improved. The jumping mechanic is now far more reliable, so players should be able to feel confident before taking their next jump. Sounds for single-fire and semi-automatic weapons have been improved - they should no longer cut off randomly.

There are a huge number of tweaks, bug fixes and small changes that have been applied to the new patch too. The full notes can be seen on the Battlefield website.
