destiny xbox one - CopyIt has been revealed that Bungie's brand new open world loot n' shooter game, Destiny, will require a massive 40GB internal memory free on the Xbox One for it to be able to install.

This news comes from a range of leaks showing off the game case for Destiny and the details on the back of the case. In the small print underneath the promotional images, it clearly states that 40GB hard drive space will be required for players to install the game.

Whilst these leaks are only directly related to the Xbox One version of Destiny, it's very likely that the PlayStation 4 will receive similar treatment, and 40GB or around that size will most likely be needed on the PS4 too.

Whilst both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One come with 500GB hard drives as standard, this space will quickly be used up if games like Destiny are put on the market. Destiny is bound to receive many patches and content packs in the future that will only make the file size even larger too.

In fact, the day one patch for Destiny has been confirmed to be 300MB in size, making the total file size of Destiny on day one 40.3GB for the Xbox One version of the game.

Luckily, Microsoft has added external hard drive support for the Xbox One recently, but it's still a shame that the internal memory available is quite limited.
