Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

Development company From Software Inc. was surprised by announcing that they will
release the first downloadable content of their critically acclaimed game "Elden Ring" titled
"Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree."

This vast expansion pack will be available from June 20, 2024.

Plot Of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
"Shadow of the Erdtree" will tell the story of Miquella, the twin brother of Malenia. She is the
demigod child of Radagon and Queen Marika and was born with a curse that stops her from
growing into an adult.

Similar to Sites of Grace, the players will follow in the footsteps of Miquella. Shadow of the
Erdtree will reportedly have the same space as the Lands Between, but it will be physically
disconnected. Therefore, the protagonist will require wraps to embark on a journey there.
The fans will get to know about Queen Marika's exploits in the shadow lands and the events
which led Miquella to contact her in the Land of Shadow.

The premise of the highly anticipated DLC content read, “In the Land of Shadow, Miquella
awaits the return of his promised Lord... The Land of Shadow. A place obscured by the
Erdtree. Where the goddess Marika first set foot. A land purged in an unsung battle. Set
ablaze by Messmer’s flame. It was to this land that Miquella departed. Divesting himself of
his flesh, his strength, his lineage. Of all things Golden."

Martin, famous for his novel series "A Song Of Ice and Fire, aka Game Of Thrones, has not
written the material. However, it is still based on his original work.
He added, "In making the base game and making the Elden Ring, we took from that mythos,
but we only took one part of it. We took from a part that created the story of Elden Ring and
created the world that we wanted to envision, and the Shadow of the Erdtree is yet another
part of that original mythos that he wrote and that has inspired us to create the story of this
DLC."

The director went on to say that Land of Shadow comes with a combination of open fields
and twisted and classic dungeons. He added, "(it) brings these types of layout together a
little more seamlessly."
