final fantasy x HD ps4When it comes to any news about Final Fantasy, there are often a lot of mixed feelings. Whilst there are certain games in the franchise that many gamers have come to despite, there are also timeless classics that everybody adores, and one such game is going to be getting a new HD treatment in anticipation for a PlayStation 4 launch.

The game in question is Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD, and whilst this game has already had an HD remaster for the PS Vita and the PlayStation 3, it will be the first time this game has been ported over to the newest Sony console.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD will be launched for the PlayStation 4 and it will be made available both from the PlayStation network and from within select brick and mortar retail stores early next year.

It is expected that the new HD remaster won't have many improvements over the previously released PS3 and PS Vita versions, although there may be some unexpected surprises. We will have to wait for the launch to see what Square Enix have planned for the HD remaster of Final Fantasy X/X-2.

Whilst many PS4 owners have been happy about the announcement of this particular remaster, Square Enix also announced that they have plans to bring Final Fantasy VII to the PlayStation 4 as well, and as expected, not so many players were happy about this one.

Many players have stated that they would much prefer to see a remake of Final Fantasy VI instead of VII - what are your thoughts on this?
