GTA v PS4After selling a ridiculous amount of copies on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it only seemed to make sense for Rockstar to port their latest Grand Theft Auto game over to the new generation of consoles, however, we haven't really heard anything official from Rockstar about such a thing happening since it's first release on to last gen consoles.

That all changed last night though; Rockstar finally decided to speak and reveal that Grand Theft Auto V is now planned for a release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The new next gen version of Grand Theft Auto V will be released this Fall, and a few changes will be made to the game to take advantage of the new hardware capabilities within both the Xbox One and the PS4.

Perhaps the biggest notable change for the new version of Grand Theft Auto V will be the across-the-board graphical improvements that will add new lighting effects, increase draw distance, increase texture detail and bring enhanced resolution to the game.

GTA V on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One will also have denser traffic, increased wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, as well as a wide array of other new details. Pre-orders for GTA V on PS4, Xbox One and PC start today. So far, details on the pricing for the next-gen version of Grand Theft Auto V are not clear, but it's likely the game will sell for full price.
