Facepaint Will Not Be Featured in Activision's Latest Title, but You Will Be Getting Theater Mode Instead

Activision's Modern Warfare 3 will not carry on the Black Ops legacy of character customization options. This information is according to an article on Attack of the Fanboy covering responses from Robert Bowling, creative strategist for Infinity Ward. Mr. Bowling was addressing various fan questions about the topic, which he replied that the focus is now on the gameplay's customization rather than the character customization. So no longer do I have the fear of being gunned down by someone that looks like WCW-era Sting with a FAL (as you can see above).

Bowling then stated that the customization will focus on gameplay, loadouts, and weapon camos. While the character customization wasn't one of the primary features in Black Ops, it was loved by many, since it was a way to distinguish you on the battlefield.

And while Modern Warfare 3 won't be using the character customization from Black Ops, the developers at Infinity Ward will be releasing Modern Warfare 3 with a "Theater Mode" for the game. Not a really big surprise, as Call of Duty: Elite's biggest features is the video area.
