Neverwinter PS4

A new expansion is coming to Neverwinter later this year, but before that the game will be coming to the PlayStation 4 for the first time. The PS4 version will also include all of the nine previously released expansions that have made their way to PC and the Xbox One.

On the PS4 listing, Neverwinter has been described as a game 'Set along the Sword Coast, Neverwinter is a free-to-play game with eight playable classes and the controls have been reconfigured to make use of the DualShock 4's touchpad and Party Chat integration.'

Whilst Neverwinter requires an Xbox Live Gold membership to be playable on the Xbox One, the Neverwinter release for PlayStation 4 will not require a PS Plus membership. This means that all PS4 owners will be able to play Neverwinter for free, so long as they are able to download the game to their hard drive.

It's been a common trend to see free to play games make their way to consoles and Neverwinter isn't the first. However, Neverwinter is definitely one of the most popular MMOs available on console and with the long time it has been on Xbox One, there's no doubt that the PS4 release will be a lot smoother and more optimized than the version that first made it's way to the Xbox One.

Neverwinter is still getting love from the publisher too - it's likely that the upcoming tenth expansion will also make it's way to PS4 and Xbox One when it is launched.
