Borderlands 2 DLC Info

The president for Gearbox Software, Randy Pitchford, has now confirmed that the next Borderlands 2 downloadable content will be available to players by the end of 2012. For those becoming bored of the main game and the 'Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty' DLC, you won't need to wait much longer for the new content, because it is very probable that we will see it within a month's time, or at least by the end of December.

Although it hasn't been officially confirmed, a leak by the PlayStation trophy system has revealed that the new DLC will be called Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, and will have three new gold trophies for PS3 players.

Randy Pitchford has also said that an official announcement for the downloadable content will be revealed closer to its release day. These details should confirm whether the Campaign of Carnage is correct, and also tell us whether the new DLC will be included in the season pass or not.

On top of the new DLC, Randy Pitchford has also sent out a tweet to tell his followers that the downloadable content will be available before a new character class for Borderlands 2, which plainly confirms that there will be a new character following the recent Mechromancer class, making a total of 6 classes.

Borderlands 2 content has been coming out at a super-fast pace since launch, and unlike games such as Skyrim, where there has been plenty of issues with the game's extra content on different platforms, Gearbox has done an amazing job on getting the content out to everybody as soon as possible, regardless of console or platform.
