Epic Games has just announced a brand new event called High Stakes. The new mode will drop on the first week of September.

So far, we don't know exactly what the new High Stakes event will be. We do know, however, that the event is themed after a high stakes bank robbery.

Epic Games did mention on Twitter that the new event will come with a number of new features for players to get their hands on.

First up is the new Limited Time Event called Getaway.

Nobody knows exactly what this mode will entail, but it fits in with the theme of the event.  

New challenges exclusive to the High Stakes event will also be added to Fortnite, as well as a brand new Wild Card outfit. The outfit you see on the promo image above is the new outfit.

If you would like to be the first to know more about Epic Games’ High Stakes event and find out what the new Getaway mode will be like, you can tune into Epic Games’ Twitch channel over this weekend.

Epic Games will be at PAX West and they plan to showcase the new High Stakes event for the first time whilst there.

We imagine that the full release date for the new High Stakes event will be announced during the weekend, as well.

If you don’t have time to tune in this weekend, don’t worry. We’re sure Epic Games will be releasing the new content very shortly after they first showcase gameplay.
