So although we may not be hearing news of a new God of War next gen game just yet, Sony Santa Monica has shown a teaser of something new for the God of War franchise. Sony Santa Monica took to Twitter to post an Instagram teaser video of something that looked like a new addition to God of War: Ascension.

The link has now been removed for some reason, but the video did show some footage of God of War that hinted at some kind of 'arena mode.'

Sony Santa Monica followed with another Instagram teaser video, but once again the video has been removed.

If I could make an educated guess, I'd say the new teaser will be released within the next month and will be a new DLC add-on to God of War: Ascension that will add some kind of combat based multiplayer battle arena. I could be wrong, but that is certainly what the videos seemed to show.

For now we'll just have to wait to see just exactly what will happen, but a new God of War game reveal is certainly off the 2013 radar for now at least, but I don't doubt that there will be a new God of War game for the PlayStation 4 at some point in the future.
