next mass effect gameWhilst members from BioWare have mentioned quite a lot about the future of the Mass Effect series since the last game was released, it's unlikely that we'll see the next Mass Effect game any time soon.

In fact, according to the game producer for the Mass Effect franchise, Mike Gamble, the next Mass Effect game is 'years away' from completion, which means that we probably won't be seeing anything solid about Mass Effect 4 for quite a while, and it's final release may be stretched out to 2017, or perhaps even further.

Mike Gamble revealed this information at a session at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, along with some other details on the next Mass Effect Game.

Firstly, according to Gamble, it's likely that the Mako, a rough-terrain vehicle seen in the first two games, will most likely make a return to the fourth title in the Mass Effect series, and players may also get to see some familiar faces from previous games.

It is important to note that the new Mass Effect game will not focus on Commander Shepard or any of the other character's within Shepard's crew, however previous characters from the franchise may appear as cameos.

In the past, BioWare talked about potential plans to turn the fourth Mass Effect game into something completely different to the first three, however at this point I'm really not sure what that could be, although we do know there will be a large focus on exploration in the next Mass Effect game.
