A new prologue trailer has been released for Capcom's upcoming next gen free to play title, Deep Down. The trailer depicts what looks to be two players fighting monsters within a dungeon, however no actual gameplay footage is shown, and instead we're greeted with a bunch of cinematics again.

Deep Down Gameplay Trailer The trailer does, however, show that Capcom's Japanese roots are still intact, with a keyboard melody playing in the background akin to the old turn based Japanese RPGs, it's clear who's Capcom's target demographic is here.

However, with it being free-to-play, Capcom haven't left out the rest of the world either, and we'll be able to get our hands on the game as soon as the Japanese can.

The problem is, it's still unclear what kind of game Deep Down will actually be; gamers are comparing it mainly to Dark Souls, but comparisons to Assassins' Creed and other action RPGs are being made as well.

Capcom is hinting at some kind of MMORPG twists to the game too, but once again it's unclear what this will mean for actual gameplay value.

The truth is, no one is going to be interested in these trailers any longer unless Capcom shows some actual gameplay, so let's hope they get round to doing that before we get lost in Titanfall, Watch Dogs, Destiny, and any other nice looking titles that have impressive gameplay footage readily available on the internet.
