ratchet and clank remakeThe Ratchet and Clank franchise has been one that many Sony fans have loved ever since the PlayStation 2, and with recent news of a Ratchet and Clank animated movie, hype for the series has never been so high.

If you're a fan of Ratchet and Clank, then you'll probably be very excited to hear that it has been rumored that a Ratchet and Clank remake has been rumored to be in the works.

The new game, which will be a remake of the original game for the PlayStation 2, is rumored to be releasing alongside the same time as the movie launch, and it will be made available for the PlayStation 4.

As expected, the new remake is rumored to come with a new graphical overhaul, and some have even suggested that the game may end up looking very similar to the graphics seen in the Ratchet and Clank movie.

Whilst nothing has yet been officially confirmed, reports suggest that the new Ratchet and Clank remake will be revealed on a special PlayStation game event, which has been set for December 6-7, 2014 in Las Vegas.

A new Ratchet and Clank remake could be exactly what the franchise needs. It is clear that Insomniac Games haven't finished with the Ratchet and Clank IP yet, and that is shown by the current movie which is under production.

Despite working on an Xbox exclusive right now, it seems as if Insomniac Games aren't locked into creating games just for one platform, which is great news.
