Star Wars Battlefront 2 Beta This Week

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is having an open beta event in anticipation of the game launch next month. The beta is taking place later this week and will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

If you pre-ordered Battlefront 2, you'll be able to jump in on October 4. If you haven't pre-ordered, you'll be able to play the beta starting from October 6. The beta will be live until October 9.

As well as revealing the beta start dates, EA has explained which maps and modes will be in the multiplayer beta for Star Wars Battlefront 2.

There will be four game modes available in the beta. This includes Galactic Assault, Starfighter Assault, Strike, and Arcade.

In Starfighter Assault, players will be able to play in a 24 player two-sided affair in space. In Galactic Assault, players will play a 10v10 battle mode on Naboo. Players will be able to play as both the separatist droids and the clone troopers from the prequel movies.

Strike is a smaller class-based mode that focuses on infantry instead of vehicles and heroes. The Strike map for the beta is Takodana.

Finally, Arcade mode is an offline option that supports split-screen play.
