assassins creed unity e3You may be getting a bit fed up with the constant release of new Assassins' Creed games, but despite there being so many, there's doubt that Ubisoft are working hard to keep things fresh and enjoyable. The last game in the series, Assassin's' Creed IV: Black Flag, was a great new experience for the franchise, and Ubisoft want to make sure things are still as fresh as ever with their latest game, AC: Unity.

In Assassins' Creed Unity, there will be a larger focus on team play and co-operative work. There will be a set of online-only missions that will allow players to test their single player character in an environment with other players, but this will be a separate experience from the single player game.

Thanks to next gen hardware, there will also be a big improvement on overall game mechanics, and things from climbing and navigating the world to combat gameplay will have refined systems to make them feel more intuitive and seamless.

Gameplay will also feel more open; if you fail a mission, instead of reverting back to a checkpoint, new objectives will open up to amend your mistakes and finish the original mission like planned.

Assassin's Creed Unity will be released this October 28th. The game will be released for just PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, making it the first Assassins' Creed title to be exclusive for current gen consoles, leaving the last gen in the dark.
