NBA fans rejoice, Take-Two and The NBA have just announced an eLeague for their NBA video games. The esports league will focus on the NBA 2K game series and will open up the opportunity for players to compete at a competitive level for monetary prizes.
"We believe we have a unique opportunity to develop something truly special for our fans and the young and growing eSports community. We look forward to combining our best-in-class NBA sports team operators with Take-Two's competitive gaming expertise to create a brand new league experience."
Don't worry, the real NBA league will still go ahead unaffected, but this branching off by NBA and the subsequent partnering with Take-Two will open up new opportunities, specifically for those that play NBA 2K competitively.
The league will start in 2018. 30 teams will take part in the league and each NBA franchise has been set the task to scout out players for their teams. Each team will have 5 players in total. Interestingly,

A brand new Resident Evil 7 DLC pack is now available on the PlayStation 4.
After the launch on January 24, Resident Evil 7 has already received its second DLC expansion. This new expansion has been named Banned Footage Vol. 2 and it follows the first Banned Footage volume. The new DLC includes 2 missions and a new 'comical' game mode.
The first new mission in the new Resident Evil 7 DLC is called 21 Scenario, which Capcom has provided a small description for. "Gamble life and limb in a deadly game run by Lucas Baker."
The second mission in the new DLC is called Daughters Scenario and this serves as a prequel to the storyline in the missions in the base game.
The new game mode that's been bundled with the DLC expansion is named Jack's 55th Birthday, in which players are tasked with feeding Jack Baker, the main villain in Resident Evil 7, with large amounts of food. It sounds odd, but it's surprisingly enjoyable and equally as hilarious.

Fnatic and AS Roma are giants from the esports and soccer world, respectively, and now they have partnered up to create a brand new FIFA esports team.
Sports organizations have been stepping into the esports world a lot recently, and this recent partnership between Fnatic and AS Roma showcases that these new ventures aren't going to be slowing down anytime soon. Despite FIFA not quite reaching the global stage like CS:GO, Overwatch or League of Legends, AS Roma's passion for the world of soccer has helped Fnatic to source a team of professional FIFA players.
Aman "Aman" Seddiqi, Sam "Poacher" Carmody and Nicolo' "Insa" Mirra will now all be part of the Fnatic/AS Roma FIFA team, being lead by manager Colin Johnson. Fnatics' role will be to "manage the team and offer support for training, events and provide all esports-related logistical knowledge to nurture them," whilst AS Roma are simply looking to expand their club's reach into the esports world.
AS Roma play in the

Over the past few years, the Call of Duty franchise has made plenty of changes thanks to a big transition towards future based combat. Unfortunately for Activision, it hasn't exactly been received that well.
The Call of Duty franchise has been one of the biggest and most successful first person shooter series of all time, but it was clear after Infinite Warfare that the fan appeal had started to wither away.
Due partly to the poor performance of Infinite Warfare and arguably partly due to the success of Battlefield 1, the Call of Duty title planned for this year has been confirmed to be going back to the series roots.
The information comes straight from Activision as they have looked back at and shared their successes and failures in 2016. Whilst Activision has now confirmed that the upcoming Call of Duty game will take inspiration from previous games, nothing was said about how far back the publisher would be going.
It was confirmed that the next Call of Duty

Capcom has revealed that Kolin will be introduced to Street Fighter V on February 28, and one more character will follow every month following Kolin's release.
In the statement, a small look into the lore behind Kolin was provided: "After working in the shadows for Gill and the secret Illuminati organization, Kolin makes her Street Fighter V debut. First appearing in Street Fighter III, Kolin works behind the scenes in order to fulfill the Prophecy of Miraha and stop any who dare stand in Gill's way. She is typically calm and collected, but can suddenly fly into a rage when anybody threatens Gill and his plans."
It was also mentioned that "Kolin excels in the Russian martial art of Systema, utilizing the opponent's momentum against them and executing various slash-like attacks and knife hand strikes. Gill has bestowed upon her the power of ice, allowing her to augment her fight style with frigid blasts and deadly icicles. She is often heard speaking condescendingly towards

Looking for information on Call of Duty esports? This is where it all starts.
We haven't heard much in the way of Call of Duty esports news so far this year. Fortunately, an announcement has now been made for the beginning of the CWL Global Pro League in 2017. It has recently been confirmed that stage 1 of the pro league will start on April 20.
The CWL Global Pro League is a weekly LAN league for Call of Duty that will see teams from all over the world battle it out in their local arenas. Just before stage 1, an open event will take place on March 17 until March 19. This will be the CWL Dallas Open and will be the most important event this year for teams to earn the chance to gain points to qualify for the GPL.
"The CWL Dallas Open is the final event where teams and their rosters can earn CWL Pro Points for a chance to qualify to Stage 1 of the CWL Global Pro League, beginning April 20."

BeyondTheSummit has released the key dates and details for the upcoming Smash Summit 4.
It has now been confirmed that the event will take place from March 2 and will end on March 5. To begin with, the prize pool is sitting at $15,000, but it will grow depending on how many fans attend the events.
Even with a $15,000 base prize pool, this will be an important event to take the win, and it could perhaps be the event that could be open to absolutely anybody.
Whilst both Hungrybox and Armada are still performing incredibly, Hungrybox's recent broken finger has put some doubt on his upcoming performance. Armada is still looking like a strong contender, but his most recent Smash Summit win was at Smash Summit 3 doubles, at which point he had help from the formidable Mew2King. Mang0 has also been in great form this year, even if he hasn't managed to hit as many first place wins as Hungrybox and Armada.
In total, there will be sixteen players to attend the Smash Summit

All of the juicy details for the first Battlefield 1 DLC expansion to actually cost any money have now been revealed.
The first DLC for Battlefield 1 is called They Shall Not Pass, and it will include new maps, new weapons, new items, a new game mode and some other extra features.
Firstly, let us share what we know about the maps. The new They Shall Not Pass DLC will have a total of four new multiplayer maps. The four maps are named, Fort Vaux, Rupture, Soissons and Verdun Heights.
With these four maps combined, players will have a nice mixture of claustrophobic underground tunnels, iconic trench and bunker warfare, open farmland and torched rubble.
Frontlines is the included game mode in They Shall Not Pass. Frontlines has a mix of gameplay from Conquest and Rush. "Both teams fight for one flag at a time and when this objective is captured the action moves on to the next. Capture the enemy's HQ control point and the game turns into a Rush-style section where
