An Illinois Family Creates a Guinness World Record with Pokemon

The Arnold family of Frankfort, Illinois is a five-person dominate force when it comes to Pokemon battling power. This family managed to form a championship winning team and has managed to land themselves in the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition 2012 as the Largest Competitive Pokemon Video Game Family. Yep, that's a real title as according to this Kotaku article.

They were featured earlier this year on Kotaku after visiting the 2010 Pokemon regionals in Atlanta Georgia. The brothers Ryan and David, sister Grace, and father Glen took the event by storm and dominated every part of the tournament they participated in, while mother Linda cheered them on in support from the sidelines. It got extremely competitive when father and son faced-off for a top spot in the competition's Senior Division.

Thanks to their dominate force in the Pokemon circuit, they managed to land themselves in the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition 2012 which was just recently in North America. The book series is known for finding unique and extreme new records to fit specific situations, the Arnolds fit in like a glove.
