Battlefield 4 Confirmed

EA is one of the biggest games publishers out there, and with so many different franchises under its belt, it only makes sense that whilst some become extremely successful, others crash and burn, and sometimes never see the light of day.

A good example of this is the new Medal of Honor: Warfigher game. Despite its attempts to bring something slightly different into the FPS genre, the sales for the title were appalling compared to other popular FPS games, and it's a bullet that EA has had to take hard to the chest.

EA is gathering its assets though, and killing off those that aren't beneficial to the producer's success ratings. For this reason we may never see another Medal of Honor game again, and especially not on the next-generation consoles. A new battlefield game is a definite yet however.

"We've been investing and innovating on new technology for months. Console partners who have seen our early work agree, EA's next-gen software is nothing short of astonishing. At a GameStop company meeting earlier this week, we gave 500 store managers a sneak peak at Battlefield 4. The game received a huge ovation and thousands of fans reacted to a single enthusiastic Tweet by GameStop's CEO." EA president Frank Gibeau said.

Whilst EA develop the next-gen Battlefield behind loosely closed doors, we'll have to patiently wait for an official public announcement, which according to Frank will be in around "90 days" after his discussion on the topic on January 31st.
